These people have the money to but out the areas they want...and if a place is run down...the less the housing and land will be...no doubt some can buy then play the waiting game. And they are in with councils and people in high places...including the Masons...money breeds money. Meanwhile...the problems from these areas does not go away...it just goes up the road somewhere...since the system is not made to balance society...its made for the elites to prosper...whilst many fall into the poverty trap. One description I read some 25 yrs ago that neoliberalism was creating...was the New Rabble. People on benefits, handouts, in need of grants, on low wages...but the nets was being raised...and even former middle classes were being caught in the trap. The system is ruthless, although you would not think so when you see or meet those who are doing well out of it.
