It is probably a forced choice...they have no hope...and every day life can be hard...especially if you are down...like the guy at the start...saw his father blow his mother away...many would not recover from that without serious help and support. A society that is geared towards getting on in life and making money and profits soon forgets those with issues...they become an inconvenience at best, an enemy of the state at worst. It is the love that is missing on so many levels in this world. Not an easy place to get well once you are down and out...

Yes, I have heard spiel like this many times in UK...there is this provision, and that provision...the fact is when you do a bit of digging, there is very little help at all...and where there is, the attitudes are patronising and persecutory. Selfishness has taken over the world...and most folk do their jobs to serve themselves and their bank accounts...not other people.

Agree...police never had a good reputation where I live in UK...and most of my mates were arrested for drunk and disorderly...on the tip off from the landlord of were they drank...he was an ex paratrooper officer...and they used to drink in the snug room with him...he didn't last long, but I have seen far worse things, like in the Miner's Strike...deaths and fractured skulls of innocent people...and almost every cop lied ...it was proven, the men have just been pardoned, almost 40 yrs on, but like a similar event at a football ground called Hillsborough where police were proved to be at fault for deaths...not one police man was charged...and it is the same with the welfare benefits assessors...they are known for lying...and using false witnesses, but they cannot be charged and called to account. One law for some, and another for others. People then are not inspired to be honest, or help them.
