It was like an episode of Dad's Army...the cantankerous Capt Mainwaring would come on and pompously announce he would lead his men in some harmless escapade...always ended in shame and tragedy...but they kept their chins up...Hitler must have been shaking in his boots...indomitable fighting spirit...even when the chips were down...as they always were...as we had too many Frank Bellamys in our troop...

  6.  @Fatima502  The biggest horror was the amt of foam and gas sprayed on the fire...was it the same guy in the Italian Job who Michael Caine told...you was only supposed to blow the safe..and as for the fire...you was only supposed to light a sml log...almost spread and took out all the BBC Studios...we;d have been watching loads of programmes filmed outside in their gardens...

Stoic well humoured deflection by the Blue Peter staff...after nearly burning down the BBC Studios and killing hundreds of children...that's what real happiness is about...whatever's going on for you...including your own house burning down...just sing... if you're happy and you know it...then clap your hands...in between throwing buckets of water on the fire...great stuff. And those firemen...were they real...they looked like Dad's Army...great performance by all concerned...my thanks to the Girl's Guides, the Brownies, the Blue Peter staff...and the local Fire Brigade...and Dad's Army-the local fire brigade...if you're happy and you know it CLAP your hands...
