@brometheus5183 Wise words! Yes, your original teachings in this aspect of life and death are correct, as the spirit normally takes 3-4 days to release itself from the body, after which it also leaves behind the template for the physical body, which is called the astral body, both only being of benefit for this life! Then, if the person is both good and corresponding light, the spirit can fly onto its next destination somewhere in the beyond, a place and process precisely dependent upon the state of the person's soul, or spirit. An earthly, materialistic spirit though can have great difficulties leaving their bodies, and sometimes they tarry close to their grave in a kind of coma, often due to spiritual indolence, and various forms of misuse of drugs and drink, for example. I met Mr Means on several occasions by the way, and he took a Sweat lodge in the UK, when I felt I was back in Lakota land, for I lived there in a past life in the mid and late 1800's. This was a big rebirth period for me, so I recall it vividly! So I am grateful to him! He seemed familiar, but it took me years to discover that he was of my former tribe, and appeared in the Last of the Mohicans, a very sacred film, which highlights the madness of the 'ways of the white man'. Soon, these ways will be destroyed in terrifying storms, and the land and the earth will be handed back to the rightful stewards, chosen by the Great Spirit. Aho!
