  1.  @sacselassie563  The Wolves game was his Testimonial. We can suffer no more, nor can he! He'll be injured again if he tried to play one, then he'll go from one couch to another club's couch. I think they call it couch surfing!

He was a superb athlete in a linear direction, and so can partly see why Fergie mentioned Edwards, as he had a great physique, but his head and body could not work in tandum when asked to perform lateral movements, hence all the injuries, curious faces, and calamities. At least he had the one good half of game as just desserts for his 3-5 yrs of efforts on the Treatment Table. Hos therapists should be applauded! At least now, we can give others a chance, not necessarily on the field, but in the treatment room.

  3. 3 yrs training and copious nos of treatments for one last hurrah vs Wolves. Have to applaud his persistence and balls, on all levels!!!

  29. We are all in a state of shock. I think this announcement has come to throw us off-guard, in relation to the sale, which has now become of little, or minor importance!

  32. Who will fans grumble about now, and ridicule, especially if Maguire leaves? I have to say, with the help of his family, he's been a really game and good sport has Corporal Jones, putting with all the Bullcrap. And true to his namesake, he never panicked! And rarely did he put a foot wrong in his last 3-5 yrs either, albeit when he was on the Treatment Couch.

Well, they forgot about him, until recently, when a new cleaner with a keen sense of scent found him ...after smelling something very funny from a rarely used back room that was formerly used for treatments ( he always had that knack...-of making people smile I mean). He was apparently attached to his treatment couch, inseparable one might say, and the burial will soon follow of both he and couch, who will be bound together for all time.

  38. If he can keep fit he has potential; it's his sharp lateral movements that let him down (it's called co-ordination), and this issue has caused most of his injury problems. Maybe at a lower level, under less scrutiny, he can flourish again. it would be nice, as he has been a faithful servant of the club!

  42. Imagine the amt of training to perform that trick...only Jonesy could pull that off. Pure theatre when he played, the acute issues with co-ordination that caused his endless injuries, the way his facial expressions were somehow connected, but not co-ordinated as well to his movements, the contortions. He could have been in a circus, he was that good, as he could move, just not in the right direction, nor in the way, he was meant to. Yet, he won titles with us, and has been paid for half a decade for his participation in perpetual free treatments on a Club couch, unless he bought his own personalised version. So who's laughing now.
