Great for you...I think that the fight comes in many ways...some are more obvious than others...I was in the Miner's Strike and saw the more direct underhand tactics of the rich elite and Govt and tabloid press. I also sense that we have to ensure that we stand on good ground first within...then go to battle where you are directed or inspired...AND finally....we must never give up the fight...or as Mr Marley stated...DON'T GIVE UP THE FIGHT...the fight between good and evil...so it's vital first of all to discern between good and evil...then chose your battle lines for the fight...many of my mates chose picket lines, but now there are no mass industrial jobs, and only weak Unions...but sustainability is one are of promise and hope...and sometimes there are good community organisations in the area...and larger ones like the WEA that help too. Strength and blessings in your Battles...and may the Good, the Just and the Light win. We cannot keep going downward like this @jibicusmaximus4827

  5. Ni e little residential housing estates...then they convince themselves that life is good, so long as the deprived areas are out of sight of their bedroom windows...dog eat dog these days. Thank Thatcher...who was ceremoniously cremated on a bonfire in Goldthorpe S Yorks near Barnsley...if you want to know why...go and look what some of these Dearne Valley mining towns were like beforehand, and what they are like now...very much like Stoke...

As often happens...the plethora of important issues are dropped for one big agenda...which was migration...and the concept that Labour were a group of borrowers who could not control the economy...now we are in far greater debt....and have lost most of our infrastructure and hope...and immigration is at record levels...

Yes...they were Premiership but went down in 2018...when I was young they had a good team and got into Europe...like an old version of the Europa...Jimmy Greenhoff from my hometown of Barnsley played for before going to Man Utd. Alan Hudson was good too at that time, ex Chelsea or Arsenal. Gordon Banks...goalkeeper for England in 1966 played for them...Best player they had was the legendary Sir Stanley Matthews. The fans tended to make a really raucous atmosphere, and due to wet, windy conditions, it was always known as a tough away game for big clubs. They are in Championship now I think. I guess when people are not working, or enjoying life, enthusiasm for the football club goes to pot...hence why maybe they are called the Potters.
