  9. The Davidians were weird, but there were there for a while without any major incident (aside from nonsense within the group itself). Things didn't get violent until the ATF showed it. When you restrict the right of some people to own firearms, you open the door for the Feds to expand those restrictions.

  12.  @choccolocco  Want facts? Alright. The main allegations against the Davidians were that they were abusing children. The ATF has no jurisdiction over those offenses. The Davidians were not in possession of any illegal firearms, none were ever recovered. They even had a FFL. It's very likely the ATF fired the first shots, as the initial shooting happened at the front door, which mysteriously disappeared following the event. It was made of steel, so it could not have burned. The Feds knowingly pumped the compound full of gas they knew was flammable. The ATF needs to be abolished and Janet Reno put on trial for war crimes.
