go back 20 years, and he'd firmly be in a centrist camp. The left had shifted and radicalized, not the right.

Eplain that one because it makes no sense

@ChadsBeans You, like many who suffer from unbelief, talk big now. But you will be filled with sorrow and fear when the day comes when you find yourself standing in front of the throne.
1
@ChadsBeans Still praying for you, my brother. Your "reason" and "science" mean very little when we seek actual truth. Hopefully, the Lord will enter your heart before it is too late.
1
@ChadsBeans Hopefully, your eyes will be opened soon.
1
@ChadsBeans I suggest you read it again

Very productive comment.

@reorioOrion They didn't "unite" under the Moscow Principality. Moscow was the lapdog of the Mongols, whose nobility heavily intermarried with the Mongol nobility. the Moskals assisted the Mongols in subjugating their fellow Rus'. They conquered all of the other Rus' principalities (excepted the lucky ones that fell under Polish and Lithuanian care).
1
@reorioOrion To fall under Polish rule was a much preferable fate to live under the half-Mongol Muscovites. There was no "independence," Moscow took over rival areas. Novgorod, for example, was burned to the ground by the Muscovites in the 15th century. As for the faith, I see little difference between Catholicism and Orthodoxy. They are both heretical sects of Christianity removed from the actual word of God. Like their pagan ancestors, they worship idols which they call icons, long dead saints, and Mary, completing ignoring the fact that God and god alone can hear prayers. Any prayer not uttered towards Him falls on deaf ears.

It kind of is. Race doesn't matter, and people should be taught it doesn't matter.
1
@nickczekaj7668 So, you're telling me you believe race matters?
1
@nickczekaj7668 I ask because if you believe race matters, that would make you a racist. All people are equal, simple as.
1
@nickczekaj7668 Racism requires an inherent belief that race is significant (and also that it exists in the first place in humans, which it technically doesn't biologically). Someone who is of the opinion that race is insignificant and meaningless (which it is) cannot be racist since people don't make discriminatory judgements on matters they find insignificant, like choosing to hire one guy over another based solely on the colors of the ties they wore during their interviews.
1
@nickczekaj7668 You fail to understand that race is insignificant. It has no bearing on one's worth whatsoever. All of history's racists believed that is was significant though. It's the believe that race is significant that leads to racism. By teaching children the truth: that race is meaningless, we ensure the best chances that they will not grow to become racists themselves, as I explained before people who couldn't care less about race simply can't be racists. It's the people that care about about race that become racists. All instances of racism throughout history were fueled by that believe at the core. Continuing to teach that belief (that race is significant) is a recipe for disaster. There is a very thin line between racism and "racial consciousness." As for religion, religious people do not believe it to be a "social construct," but simple truth, not that I think religion has much relevance to race.

@quwuirkyturkey The right to bear arms, or more specifically the right to self-preservation, IS a human right. Every dictatorship that ever existed, one of the first things they all did was disarm the populace if it wasn't already disarmed.

I just got to ask, where do people like you get their news? Ukraine has taken back more the half the land that Russia initially took from it. The Russians are running low on ammo, supplies, and men. Ukraine continues to receive more and newer equipment, along with men trained to use them. There is a counteroffensive going on as we speak, and Ukraine has broken through Russia's first defensive line, which had the strongest defensives and most mines, so the worst part of the offensive is behind them now. Hell, they even launched a raid on Crimea a few weeks ago, which might be probing for a future invasion to retake it. All of this comes from non-partial sources backed up by satellite images of the frontlines. How exactly is Ukraine going to "take a giant L?"
1
@sprintfoxy1240 "Mad man Zelensky" Thank you for confirming to me that you get your information exclusively from Russian propaganda, famous for lying about pretty much everything. I guess all the satellite images of Russian lines getting pushed back and bases being relocated back to Russia are all fake, huh? You pulled the "trust me bro" card, but unironically give no sources for any of your claims either, all of which contradict what the satellite images show.

Also socialism is retarded, especially the kind that that gay Austrian painter supported.

He gets the part about American "Black culture" originating in Southern England from Dr. Thomas Sowell, an accomplished economist. Sowell wrote of how black Americans get virtually all of their culture from England, as evidenced by the fact that we see very little practices in Africa that relate to practices seen in the U.S. by black Americans. Sowell noted that poor white colonists who originally came from certain parts of England followed a very similar culture, and that slaves had a lot of interaction with this culture. Recommend this video if you have the time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FT4NQ9D0M6w
1
@kevinlewis9369 Sowell looks at the subject from an economic point-of-view. In other works, he often makes comparisons between the New England settlers and those of the South. Despite both being mostly British in origin, the New Englanders were much more innovative and industrious, largely due to their culture. Likewise, we know that contemporary black American culture inherits little from old African cultures that the ancestors of slaves originally came from because few of those practices can be seen in Africa. Additionally, "black culture" originates from the South which then spread Northward during the Great Migration of southern blacks to cities throughout the country. Black Americans that were already living in North before the Great Migration lacked this culture.
1
@kevinlewis9369 Yes because it simply does not. Many Africans themselves point this out when they visit the United States, how different the "American Black" culture from from the Black cultures of Africa. There's very little that survived from the original African culture that first slaves would have brought over. More of it did survive in the populations of slaves sent to the Caribbean and South America, as there was a lot less influence by European cultures onto these slave populations. However, the black cultures of these areas are not the same as the American black culture so we run into the same problem. Again, Sowell analyzed the subject from an economic lens, which is how he came to that conclusion. Economically, the North had a much more innovative work culture than the Southern "Cracker Culture." The contemporary black culture in America is heavily influenced by this old Southern culture, which Sowell believes to be a significant reason why black Americans perform worse off than most other ethnicities in the U.S., even against other minority groups that have not been in the country as long as they have, like Asians.
1
@kevinlewis9369 Again, that does not explain why the cultures of slaves in the South differed so drastically from the cultures of slaves elsewhere in the Americas, both in and out of United States. Surely not all of them could have been equally influenced by African culture given the differences between them and heavy intermixing of various African ethnicities within each group. I agree, conclusions should not be made purely on the writings of a single person, but I've reading the reviews of this book (I cannot find a full pdf online) and nearly all of them are explaining that the book is an analysis of black nationalist thought and culture in the United States. I think this is a pretty significant distinction that should be made considering nationalism is not always based on truth. Many black nationalists of the 1960s and 70s, for example, subscribed to many distorted theories and myths about their own people, both about slaves in the U.S. and about Africans before that. This is not an attempt to discredit the book, just an observation on many of the reviews and abstracts written on it.
1
And the reason they moved the industry elsewhere was because the corrupt unions made it difficult to do business here. I'm from Pennsylvania, and union bosses are some of the scumiest people I've ever met.
1
Why is it that the wealth is even more heavily cocentrated at the top in non-Capitalist countries? Fidel Castro was by far the richest man in Cuba. The Premiers of the Soviet Union lived lives of luxury far exceeding that of the President of the United States.
1
@JaydenBrooks-ys6lj It was true, Castro was far richer than the Cuban military dictators he replaced. He lived a life of luxury while his people lived in poverty: a far great disparity than ever existed in America. As for the USSR, it was Marxist. the argument that it wasn't was cope made later on by Marxists attempting to claim the USSR "didn't count" because it didn't turn into some utopia that their favorite fantasy author, Karl Marx, wrote about.
1
If you genuinely believe that, you must be extremely left wing.
1
@mrsmiley4842 Yeap, leftist confirmed.

a) Trump won most of the rust belt, becoming the first Republican since Reagan to win Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin. b) Trump did or attempted to do almost everything he said he'd do while he campaigned, he had a much higher degree of honesty regarding his planned policies than most establishment politicians. c) Those Quaker a**holes are the reason Pennsylvania was caught with its pants down in the French and Indian War. Their stupid pacifism prevented the state from developing a militia system akin to Virginia's or New England's. Quite fanatical I'd say to have a war in your backyard and still try to stop your state from doing something about it. d) who doesn't? e) As a Pennsylvanian, I can tell you that PA unions are corrupt as f*ck and are a big reason why this state went down the sh*tter. The businesses went overseas because it was cheaper, and what exactly made it cheaper? No unions. f) I point to the Democratic Party, the party of slavers and Klansmen, epitomized by "You ain't black" Biden, still thinking his party owns black people.

Found the boomer rino
1
@AdrianFahrenheitTepes I'm certain many books will be written about it.
1
@sprintfoxy1240 Quiet, the adults are talking.
1
@sprintfoxy1240 It's well past your bedtime.
1
@sprintfoxy1240 Children need naps. P.S. I know you're a child because you're upvoting yourself.
1
@gregchristopher1961 Gotta love all the morons that eat up what is straight-up Moskal propaganda. No better than Communists simping for the Chinese.
1
@greeneggsandhamsamiam6154 Which is a shame because the Catholic and Orthodox Churches follow a lot of heretical practices that the Bible explicitly says not the do. That's the reason why Protestantism became a thing in the first place.
1
Considering the U.S. squashed Iraq like a grape twice, and Iran could never beat Iraq, I don't think Iran stands a chance in Hell against the U.S.
1
@sprintfoxy1240 Correct. Iran is weaker now than it was then if anything.
1
@sprintfoxy1240 With what exactly? Iran couldn't even beat Iraq.
1
@sprintfoxy1240 OK genius. What exactly has happened in Iran in the last 20 years? Because their army is no bigger or better than it was when Iraq crushed it.
1
@HENRIVICTORIOUS1 No because murder is illegal and immoral.
1
Found the butthurt atheist. More people were slain in the name of state atheism than ever died in wars of religion.
1
I can't imagine somebody saying with a straight face the United States is more corrupt than Russia.
1
We had Trump in for one term already. No new wars then, so it's unlikely he's trigger a world war.
1
Pennsylvania unions are corrupt as f*ck.
1
How do you figure that? The U.S. isn't suffering from a demographic crisis.
1
When exactly? They're currently getting their ass kicked by a country less than 1/4 it's size.
1
@sprintfoxy1240 Look at the casualty figures lol, and on how the Ukrainian are gradually pushing them back. Just yesterday, the Moskals had to abandon a helicopter base because the Ukrainians bombed the crap out of it.
1
I can tell that you are a very sheltered individual. Western "white" culture is arguably the least racist in the world. Go to Asia, there got concentration camps where certain ethnicies are kept. Go to Africa, they still have small scale wars largely along ethnic lines.
1
If the state starts interfering in the economy, than it's no longer Capitalist. And living standards in Russia and China are absolute sh*t compared to the U.S. and both have been getting worse in recent years.
1
@AaronBluestone You got a source for that?
