Lack of belief isn't the problem in the U.S. What we have are 2 factions of people with widely differing beliefs constantly fighting each other.

@alexlaw1892 You have it backwards, man. The Russian population is significantly older than the U.S. population on average, which is a problem. Birthrates in Russia are significantly lower than they are in the U.S., which is a problem. Finally, the gender imbalance in Russia of having a lot more young women than men is much worse than it is in the U.S., which is a problem. But hey, I'm sure sending 10s of thousands of young men to die in a war will help out those demographics.

@4grammaton Not true, that would imply they need the other. And both sides seem like they'd be quite happy if the other side didn't exist. Arguably, the U.S. still holds more belief than Russia, both in terms of faith/religion and belief in the country, or at least in an idea of what the country should be.
7
They did, in that very video Kraut said that had Old Novgorod become the cradle of Russian civilization instead of Moscow, then Russia today would probably be a Western-style democracy.
6
Bullsh*t. There was never a formal agreement to not expand NATO.
2
@sprintfoxy1240 What promises, lol. The West NEVER made any agreement with Russia to not expand NATO. In fact, the Moskals themselves tried to join NATO in the late 90s/early 2000s.
2
And from what source did you get that information? In terms of living standards, the U.S. squashes Russia in pretty much every category.
2
Lol, Moskals are losing ground to the Ukrainians as we speak. They broke through the first line of defense. Muscovia can't even beat a neighbor less than 1/4 of its size. All of NATO wouldn't even be necessary, Poland alone could probably reach Moscow in 2 weeks.

@samcam8284 Check Russia's standard of living compared to the U.S. and get back to me. Better yet, check on the frontlines in Ukraine and get back to me. (They're moving East).
1
@samcam8284 Lol, you check America's inflation rate, compare it to Russia's, and then get back to me, pal :) Then how come the frontlines are moving East, lol. Ukraine thus far has taken back more the half the land Russia initially took from it during the start of the invasion.
1
@samcam8284 I know, Russia's economy is the best joke I've heard this year.
1
@samcam8284 That's even worse. The Moskals had all the other Soviet Republics enslaved with their people and industries under Moskal control. If they still lost to Afghanistan, then that's really bad. And you talk about education systems? Moskals are so dumb they don't even know the geography of their own country.
1
@AdrianFahrenheitTepes That's not what a free market is, dude. If the state does start interfering in the market, then its no longer a free market. So your criticism is invalid.
1
@AdrianFahrenheitTepes Your point is invalid because you're criticizing a free market only if it stops being a free market.
1
@AdrianFahrenheitTepes Ok, I'll make it easy for you to understand since you seem to be challenged: Your criticism is incorrect.

Found the brainwashed Vatnik.
1
How do you figure that? Unlike Russia's, we're not in the middle of a demographic crisis.
1
@reorioOrion They didn't "unite" under the Moscow Principality. Moscow was the lapdog of the Mongols, whose nobility heavily intermarried with the Mongol nobility. the Moskals assisted the Mongols in subjugating their fellow Rus'. They conquered all of the other Rus' principalities (excepted the lucky ones that fell under Polish and Lithuanian care).
1
@reorioOrion To fall under Polish rule was a much preferable fate to live under the half-Mongol Muscovites. There was no "independence," Moscow took over rival areas. Novgorod, for example, was burned to the ground by the Muscovites in the 15th century. As for the faith, I see little difference between Catholicism and Orthodoxy. They are both heretical sects of Christianity removed from the actual word of God. Like their pagan ancestors, they worship idols which they call icons, long dead saints, and Mary, completing ignoring the fact that God and god alone can hear prayers. Any prayer not uttered towards Him falls on deaf ears.

I just got to ask, where do people like you get their news? Ukraine has taken back more the half the land that Russia initially took from it. The Russians are running low on ammo, supplies, and men. Ukraine continues to receive more and newer equipment, along with men trained to use them. There is a counteroffensive going on as we speak, and Ukraine has broken through Russia's first defensive line, which had the strongest defensives and most mines, so the worst part of the offensive is behind them now. Hell, they even launched a raid on Crimea a few weeks ago, which might be probing for a future invasion to retake it. All of this comes from non-partial sources backed up by satellite images of the frontlines. How exactly is Ukraine going to "take a giant L?"
1
@sprintfoxy1240 "Mad man Zelensky" Thank you for confirming to me that you get your information exclusively from Russian propaganda, famous for lying about pretty much everything. I guess all the satellite images of Russian lines getting pushed back and bases being relocated back to Russia are all fake, huh? You pulled the "trust me bro" card, but unironically give no sources for any of your claims either, all of which contradict what the satellite images show.
1
@AdrianFahrenheitTepes I'm certain many books will be written about it.
1
@sprintfoxy1240 Quiet, the adults are talking.
1
@sprintfoxy1240 It's well past your bedtime.
1
@sprintfoxy1240 Children need naps. P.S. I know you're a child because you're upvoting yourself.
1
@gregchristopher1961 Gotta love all the morons that eat up what is straight-up Moskal propaganda. No better than Communists simping for the Chinese.
1
@greeneggsandhamsamiam6154 Which is a shame because the Catholic and Orthodox Churches follow a lot of heretical practices that the Bible explicitly says not the do. That's the reason why Protestantism became a thing in the first place.
1
Considering the U.S. squashed Iraq like a grape twice, and Iran could never beat Iraq, I don't think Iran stands a chance in Hell against the U.S.
1
@sprintfoxy1240 Correct. Iran is weaker now than it was then if anything.
1
@sprintfoxy1240 With what exactly? Iran couldn't even beat Iraq.
1
@sprintfoxy1240 OK genius. What exactly has happened in Iran in the last 20 years? Because their army is no bigger or better than it was when Iraq crushed it.
1
I can't imagine somebody saying with a straight face the United States is more corrupt than Russia.
1
How do you figure that? The U.S. isn't suffering from a demographic crisis.
1
When exactly? They're currently getting their ass kicked by a country less than 1/4 it's size.
1
@sprintfoxy1240 Look at the casualty figures lol, and on how the Ukrainian are gradually pushing them back. Just yesterday, the Moskals had to abandon a helicopter base because the Ukrainians bombed the crap out of it.
1
If the state starts interfering in the economy, than it's no longer Capitalist. And living standards in Russia and China are absolute sh*t compared to the U.S. and both have been getting worse in recent years.
1
Anglo Saxon? lol
