No offense to you, but most of what you are saying is false. The British did not give then Indians their caste system in any form, it was there long before the British came. And yes, the British did put a stop to some of the worst practices, such as forcing women to die after their husbands die in order to join them in death.
The British did not actively encourage the Indians to treat segments of their own people like animals, the Indians developed that on their own. And to this day, Indian conservatives and traditionalists voice support for the caste system. If they are traditionalists, then why would they support something that is supposedly foreign in origin and only existed since the late 19th century? Again, the answer if that it is a system much older than that, way older than the British era.
