They militarized the Gaza strip not long after obtaining control of it, prioritizing the construction of missile-launching pads over hospitals and schools (which is why basically all hospitals and schools in Gaza were built by the UN). And they have been known to use their own civilians as "meat shields" and nominally safe zones like hospitals to store military equipment. HAMAS openly states their goal is the killing or expulsion of all Jews in the region, and almost exclusively target civilians.

Couldn't agree more, the UN has attempted to sanction Israel more than all other Middle Eastern countries combined, despite the fact that Israel is the only country in the Middle East that is a functioning democracy, doesn't mutilate young girls, doesn't condone ped*philia, Doesn't throw homosexuals off of buildings, and doesn't kill people for following different religions.

HAMAS is also known to use civilians as human shields and hospitals and schools for military purposes.

It was a British colony before WWII, an Ottoman territory before that, a series of Caliphates before that, a Crusader kingdom before that, more Caliphates before that, Byzantine territory before that, Roman territory before that, and Israel and Judah before that. And many Palestinians don't have roots that go back hundreds of years. Many are the descendants of Arabs who moved there while it was a British colony.

Palestinians largely descend from Arabs who came to the area much, much later. The tax was one aspect of it. Muslims very often did, and still do, kill people of different religions. Look at modern times where they openly stone to death Arab Christians.

Before Israel, the land was inhabited by various tribes of people, like Canaanites. All these tribes either went extinct or got absorbed into Israelites, which makes Jews the oldest still existing people to have lived in the Holy Land. Palestinians are Arabs, they did not begin to settle into the area until many centuries later.
