  1. In our shop, we’ve done both. We typically look for dried grease and dirt in the fender area. The axle has no grease and we then replace the axle. Most customers don’t want a new Toyota or Honda axle because they can be very expensive for many customers. We always make an attempt at using the boot kits on the factory axles from either Toyota or Honda.
