Trump says he understands why Russia is bombing Ukraine. He believes Putin is doing in Ukraine "what others would do." In the run-up to a ceasefire, Putin's brutal bombing of Ukrainian cities has no purpose other than revenge. Trump's words suggest he would do the same.
