You can shove all the complaints that these lands were once Russian up your ass. If you go the way of memories of the past, give up Kaliningrad (Königsberg) to Germany and the Kuril Islands to Japan. Russia has now crossed the internationally recognized borders of UN member Ukraine, the borders that are officially recognized by Russia itself.
