@NotDuncan it evens out. How is it a waste if people are paying 5 million to live in these. It's spending energy to create value out of a worthless desert, as for the "gullible" part, it's a moral dilemma and not a quantifiable loss. If anything, it's a positive, since there will always be gullible people, so it's worth investing in that

@NotDuncan You are being obtuse and you are passing a moral judgment. A house in the McDonald highland community recently sold for $28m, setting a new record. Whether you like it or not, it is, economically speaking, well worth spending the energy, or the water, or whatever nonsense the other kid was complaining about.

@SculptExpress-gv8jp How is Paris safe again 😂?? Sounds like you got to experience Paris in 1970's but I'm not sure you'd get the same feeling today. I was born and raised right next to Paris in the 1990's and I can tell you the more time passes, the more I (and most people I know besides delusional boomers) try to avoid what can only be qualified as an oversized dumpster fire, even the population itself is changing. No more nice discussions, no more artists, no more city life, anyone with half a brain is leaving because they've either been priced out of most likely just want to avoid insecurity due to you know who. (not that it's much better in any major big EU cities). Normal people could still pull off a nice family life in Paris up until the 1990's and early 2000's maybe. These days ? Forget it. If your typical waiter can't afford to live near the cafe, then it's not really a city anymore, it's an amusement park. Macron cleaned up the streets for the Olympics, but now it's going to be back to normal, and believe me it's not good.
