The best way to avoid a lockdown: JUST DON'T DO ONE. They are NOT needed to deal with COVID. They never were. Focused protection was always the proper path.

Don't be daft. Stop listening to the TV news and start examining the source data for yourself. It is freely and publicly available from the government itself, and what that source data says is quite different from what the media, politicians, and public health officials say the data says.

@michaelbruno1666 Ontario and Quebec BOTH saw spikes of cases in the spring and BOTH peaked at NEARLY THE EXACT SAME TIME. COVID is SEASONAL, just like its fellow respiratory viruses.
