If preventing a potentially deadly communicable disease such as COVID warrants such steps, then surely influenza does as well? You are going to be consistent in the application of your logic, are you not?

Especially given how active cases in the country are down to just 0.013% on a per capita basis. Your chances of running into a person with an active case are 1 in 7,756.
