@bobwoods1302 How come Russia hasn't captured Ukraine yet? You're presuming the goal was to conquer all of Ukraine. Was it? Or were Russia's war aims more focused? (The only people who know that are Putin and the top generals in the Russian military.)

She probably tried to tell them sending those few tanks was a dumb idea If Ukraine cannot protect those tanks from aerial attack, it definitely is a dumb idea. And Ukraine clearly does not control its own airspace.

Germany needs to stop stalling with sending the tanks and get on the right side of history. Some of us remember the last time the Germans got all enthusiastic about military matters. It didn't end well, for either Germany or the rest of Europe.

@darrengillesdarrengilles8336 Ukraine needs 100 squadrons. If Ukraine cannot protect those tanks from aerial attack -- and it clearly can't, since Ukraine does not control its own airspace --- those tanks likely wouldn't last long. Ask the Iraqis how their tanks fared against U.S. jets and helicopters when they were unable to provide air cover for their tanks.

@Aaron-rw3lv Doesn’t mean we shouldn’t send Ukraine tanks. Why? It's not our war. Ukraine stupidly kept poking the Russian bear, and when the bear finally showed its claws, Ukraine ran crying to NATO. Add to that Ukraine is filled with corruption, and Neo-Nazis riddle its military and government. Is that the kind of nation you want to ally with?
