@jent9076 Also, humans don't use such weapons on their own citizens. It's not a human thing to do. China is rounding up its Uyghur minority population and putting them into concentration camps. That's not humane either, but there is no international movement to shut China out of the global economy as has been done with Russia.

@jent9076 Why would Russia need to be paranoid about Ukraine having weapons? Russia has very good historical reason to be fearful of Western Europe. See 1812 and Napoleon's invasion of Russia, and 1941, Hitler's invasion of Russia. The latter during WWII resulted in the death of some 20 MILLION Soviet citizens, or roughly one-third of all deaths that occurred during WWII. If the U.S. today still carries lingering scars from its Civil War which ended 157 years ago, then Russia would certainly be affected by the terrible cost it paid in the conflict which ended only 77 years ago. And Ukraine was making much noise about moving closer to the West. Now, all the foregoing should not be read as justification for Russia's action, but rather explanation.
