Don't forget their willing accomplices, the NDP.

@PrimaMapleSyrup You have NO argument.

You're blaming the wrong people. Inflation has ONE root cause: the federal government inflating the currency supply. Which is exactly what the Liberal-NDP federal government has done. You should direct your anger at your local Liberal or NDP member of parliament because inflation is THEIR fault because THEY are the ones who backed the ridiculously inflationary monetary policies of the federal government.

@PrimaMapleSyrup It is the government's fault because inflation is the result of the federal government inflating the currency supply. This is basic economics known to everyone except the "journalists", the NDP, and the Liberals.

@PrimaMapleSyrup Remember when the Liberals under Chretien and Martin had sound fiscal policies and the country posted budget surpluses? Pepperidge Farm remembers. It seems that kind of Liberal is dead.

Don't forget Jagmeet Singh and the NDP --- they are the ones propping up the Liberal government.

Someone tell the economic idiots at Global "News" that rising interest rates do NOT cause inflation. Inflation has ONE root cause: the federal government inflating the currency supply with sudden, massive, unsupported spending. Which is exactly what the Liberal, now Liberal-NDP, federal government has done. Anyone angry at inflation should go yell at their local Liberal or NDP member of parliament because it is THEIR fault because THEY are the ones who backed the ridiculously inflationary monetary policies.

You have it backwards, Global "News". Mortgage and rent costs do NOT drive up inflation; rather, inflation is what CAUSES mortgage and rent costs to rise. Good lord, Global, how bloody incompetent are you that you do not understand basic economics?

Correct.
