  1. NATO is very lucky Russia fumbled as badly in Ukraine as it did, since if Russia ever succeeded in conquering Ukraine, wonder how NATO would be ready to fight a land war with Russia in the Baltics and Poland. with the sorry state of the NATO armies.

  3. I find it interesting the Russian mil bloggers are warning that there is a big build up of Ukrainian troops near Bakhmut possibly ready for an offensive. If I know the Ukrainians, this might be used as a ruse to pull in Russian reserves to bakhmut then the Ukrainians attack a soft spot somewhere else like say southern Kherson. that front is awfully quiet(except for Russian and Ukrainian artillery duels) but the Russians think the Dniepr is unbreachable.

I think Russia in the future will become a Euro centric democratic liberal country but after a long bloody civil war where Russia loses 25 percent of its terrritory to secession, a war which cleanses the old USSR , start from year zero, and adopt western European style liberal democratic values and reform everything, the economy , the gov , society top to bottom.
