I think whether Russian wins or loses this war, Russia will be in a very bad shape economically and militarilly after this war is over and will be destabilized. I can see a Russian civil war being a several years slide to a break up. Decades from now, future Russians will rate Putin as the worst Russian leader ever and will wonder why the he had a lot of support from the Russians during his tenure.

Yep I read that the Putin approached Hu Jintao in 2007 and asked Hu to team up with Russia to crash the USA economy by selling off US debts while the US was experiencing a economic meltdown. The Chinese were horrified instead they told the Americans during a visit to China by Henry Paulson US secretary of Treasury of hte plot. I think since then the Americans have been long trying to unseat Putin from power. and now when the opportunity presented itself in Feb 2022, Americans took advantage. to give some pay back to the Russians and oust Putin from power.

well the economic damage goes both ways, true Ukraine is suffering some very strong economic damage and is kept alive thru Financial aid from USA and EU and allies but Russia is suffering massive economic damage too, due to the costs of the war, a Russian oligarch said that the Russians gov will run out of money by 2024. Also seems that a lot of Russian oil sales have not been paid to Russia since they were sold in the black market. I think by 2025, Russians will really feel the economic damage that has been done to it by sanctions since the start of the war in 2022 that is when Putin gets desperate to win. This economic damage will take decades and lots of foreign investments and end to sanctions to repair. and I dont think foreign investmetns will come to Russia even if this war ends. Also the oil prices will not remain that high forever. and I see a oil price crash in the next few years. This will strangle the Russian economy even more. I suspect that the Russian citizenry do not feel it since the Russian gov is preventing the true economic effects from belng felt by the populace but once the Russian gov is unable to do so, the Russian citiznery will be hit hard at a time of weakness. THis will result in massive unrest all across Russia.

@SiliconCurtain Yep even back then Putin has a big hate on for the USA , very ambitious. After this backstabbing, Putin had bad relations with China until Xinping ousted Hu Jin Tao from power. However I do think the Chinese will backstab Putin again in the future, when the time is right and Putin is sufficiently weakened politically.
