I think Putin wil hang on until the results of the US presidential elections are in. 2024 will be a pivotal year in the war, in fact, I think Putin will do anything to influence the US 2024 elections to his favour, including escalating in 2024 with the mass use of chemical weapons, conducting nuke tests near Ukraine, moving around his nukes in a provocative way or even doing big military excercise in the border with NATO. and really increasing the war rhetoric trying to scare the US voters into voting in a peace president. I expect Putin will try to affect the markets by creating so much fear the stock markets crash hard and cause a recession during the election year of 2024, and having a recession esp. during the election year can spell disaster for the Biden admin seeking reelection in 2024.
