  2. what Preston did not mention is that even the Russians are running low on convicts so much they had to close down many prisons all over Russia now what they are using as disposable infantry are foreign volunteers from India, Africa, Nepal Cuba etc. these are the new Storm Z however due to recent media focus on them, they are also running low so now the new Storm Z units purpotedly are the North Koreans. we shall see..

  4.  @afcgeo882  well he is now, he is a sgt. in a wagner artillery unit. not anymore cannon fodder , he says he gets 4K USD per month, plus R&R to Moscow and St. Petersburg all paid vacations, with free booze drugs and hookers and he is able to send money back to Nepal. So if you survive and manage to speak passable Russian and good at your job and get noticed, you become an elite in the PMCs. but the chances of that is pretty low. most likely if you are cannon fodder you are kaput. He told me also no one is winning the war, its a bloody stalemate.

  5. I hear one account, foreign volunteers in Storm Z units who cant speak Russian are sent to the front without support and minimal gear. in fact when a foreign volunteer tries to communicate in english with the Russians to call for support he is ignored.

  6.  @afcgeo882  I said he is an exception on average its 2K USD a month , he surivved 2 years of war in Ukraine and he got noticed and applied to join wagner and got accepted. Yes there is a lot of desertion and deaths among the foreign fighters but the exceptional ones are the ones who survived

  7. and from what I heard recently Russian Storm Z units these days are mainly comprised of foreign volunteeres from poor third world nations mixed in with Russian convicts, its that bad, they are the new cannon fodder, since Russia is running low on convicts.

Also not only that, Ukraine was already hammering Russian logistics in the southern front espeically hard for months, and also hitting Russian reinforcements as they move into the southern front. So the Russians dont really have a reserve in the southern front, they have to rail them from other fronts and by the time they are sent to fight the Ukrs fro the railheads, they are weakened, also low in supply and ammo. That is why the Ukrs are still advancing despite Russians trying to bring in reinforcements to the southern front in desperation and Russian commanders int he Russian front constantly complaining of low artillery ammo , and low manpower. The only things slowing the Ukrs are massive amoutns of minefields, very extensive Russian fortifications, tunnels , trenchlines and Russian air support. Also astounding the Ukrs are advancing with very little if any air support. and at the start of the offensive inthe south the Russians had hte artillery advantage but Ukrs concentrating on hitting Russian ammo dumps and artillery pieces had a very strong effect as the Russians literally have a bad artillery shortage in the southern front, as well as bad artillery ammo shortage. So the Ukrainians have a artillery advantage over the Russians in the southern front. Putin is so desperate he has to meet with Kim Jong Un leader of the NKs to buy artillery ammo and more artillery missles etc.

I htink the Ukrainians are correct in their tactics , the intiial tactics wree not good but they have vastly improved, helped vastly was the liberal use of US cluster munitions which destroyed a lot of Russian artillery pieces along with hitting Russian position as cluster munitions is very good vs. Russian infantry in trenches. But I think Russians built extensive defensses which are very formidable for any army.

  12. and a lot of SU-25s still have their old electronics and avionics , its so bad the Russians had to buy civlian Chinese GPS and tape them to the cockpit of SU-25s. A good number of shot down Russian SU-25s were found to have these GPs taped to the cockpit.

  13. the USA can handle both China and Russia, both are distinctly different in terms of handling militarilly. Russia will primarilly be a land war and China will be a naval war. Currently Russian military power is being ground down in Ukraine. in its current state in a conventional war with NATO , Russia will get its ass kicked hard. Now CHina is different since war with China will entail a CHinese invasion of Taiwan, this means the USN will be heavilly involved in defending Taiwan at sea and the Taiwanese army defending its land. I think the current US gov policy vs. Russia and China are currently correct, Russian military power is being ground down in Ukraine without US boots on the ground in Ukraine and direct war with Russia. meanwhile the Chinese economy is tanking and the Chinese of wary of war with the USA, the Chinese peacock all the time that they will go to war with teh USA but never follow thru since they are smart enough to realize they will lose a war with the USA and possibly collapse CCP control of China in the aftermath. and its not only military but also economic that China is vulnerable, imagine war wiht USA means China is isolated economically from the world means, blockade of its ports, confiscation of assets from the USA and its allies, total sanctions of China, this will cause a collapse of the CHinese economy and induce mass unrest .

NATO should be giving the Ukrs thermobarics for their bombs and missles, the Russians have been using thermobarics, incidenaries and cluster munitions by a lot on the Ukrs, yep Ukrainians should be able to repay the orcs in the same way, but shows you how inept the Russian military is, despite large amounts of thermobarics, and cluster munitions the Russians use, they are still losing the war, chalk it up to inaccurate Russian artillery and spotting.

  21. yep not only set hte Russian army back 18 years probably more, after this war is over, you will have a Russian economic collapse this time no USA and EU aid and investments coming to their aid like in the 90s. After the war is over I predict the Russians will be preoccupied with domestic affairs like economic survival and getting their house in order and post Putin Russia will be ruled by Oligarchs and their PMCs, with the Moscow gov and military being their puppets and really weak. The Russians will be so traumatized by this war , I think theuy wont really build their army back to pre war levels, the real Russian military will be the PMCs as they pay better and run better by their respective oligarchs.

  22. in 2.5 years of war in Ukraine, the Russians have lost nearly 700K casualties with 150K deaths. along with 20K destroyed APCs and tanks. numbers not seen since WW2. and Russian losses in Ukraine dwarfs that of all the wars combined Russia has fought after WW2. and Ukraine is still fighting back hard. Russians only control 20 percent of Ukraine. It really does not look good for Russia.

  32. yes Storm Z units are made up of a mixed bag of recruits, mainly convicts, migrants from central asia arrested on Russian police sweeps of illegal immigrants and foreign recruits from poor third world countries, and also Russian regulars sent there as punishment.

Last time I spoke to him he gets pissed off whenever I bring up the war, I noticed a big change in his attitude, in 2023 he was bragging about his pay and free booze and white hookers, in 2024 he alluded that his superiors disciplined him for giving me info. and he alluded to the front being a bloody stalemate where no one is winning and they hardly see the enemy except for their artillery and drones, many die just trying to get into contact with the Ukrainians, who hit them from afar with drones and artillery then you have to face their machineguns mortars grenade launchers rocket launchers, then by the time you come in with sufficient numbers to do a proper attack the Ukrainians already abandoned the position and moved back a mile or so.

  39. oh and just 1.5 years ago, Ukraine was much weaker in terms of military and economy to Russia, like western analyst literally predicted Ukraine would fall in a week or two in the face of a Russia invasion , fast forward 1.5 years later, Ukraine recovered 50 percent of territory of what it lost from Russia, and the Ukrainians are doing major offensives vs. the Russians while the Russians have 95 percent of their current standing army in Ukraine, its so bad, the Russians are force recruiting Russian sailors training them for a few days to serve as ground troops in Ukraine. Russian spetsnaz units are manned by poorly trained conscripts who pretend to be spetsnaz and meanwhile the Ukrainians are attacking Russia even attacking Moscow with drones and the Russians are not able to do anything about it hahahaah. RUSSIA WILL LOSE THIS WAR. BADLY...so Russian trolls, go blame your leader Putin for making Russia, the LAUGHINGSTOCK OF THE WORLD>

  46. yah I remember the 70s and 80s when there was constant fear of massive Soviet tanks armies laded with lots of T-72s(which was a highly rated tank at the time) would thunder across the German plains thru the Fulda gap and smash through NATO defense lines. aided by massive Soviet air forces of thousands of planes. I believe western analysts at the time were blurting out that the Soviets could take most of western Europe in a few months. a few decades after the fall of the USSR , after talks with former Soviet soldiers and reading in accounts, the SOviet army was not what is was cracked up to be. A good estimation of the Soviet army would be the Russian army's performance in the 1st chechen war. The Soviet army is very similiar to the Russian army of 2023, lots of recruits, lots of equipment, weaponry etc. but Soviet combat doctrine very centralized sucks at flexibility and coordination, Soviet troops poor quality demoralized, Soviet officer corps abusive to their own troops, rampant alcoholism among troops and officers. Their warsaw pact allies even worse quality and they hated their Soviet counterparts. who also saw them with suspicion.

  49. well I think both sides have been building up their operational reserves , so that both can exploit breathrus and parry the other if they launch a major offensive. Seems like both sides have not committed their strongest forces yet. Looks like the Donbass is getting to be a strong showdown.
