  1. yah the Soviets did that in WW2 its called Penal battalions, they used them to clear minefields in parade formation, so if youy get sent to prison for violation of Russian martial law laws then they will throw you in Wagner group Penal units which your job will be sending you head on vs. Ukr fortified positions.
