The problem with the islamics is that they harp upon the golden age of the past when they had the technological ascendancy over the infidel, yah that was so 1200s or so. the extremists tend to deny modern tech like we never made the moon landing or some shit like that. Erdogan while not being an extremist but relatively a islamic who likes to use modern tech and try to fuse it with the teachings of the Koran, well if you try to use 7th century economic teachings from the Koran on 21st century economics in face value,...YOU GET DISASTER...which is what is happening to Turkey. Yah paying interest sucks who wants to do that and yah the Koran states Usury is a sin, yah but that is an ideal, these days you have to be a pragmatist to survive, too much idealism like these will lead to disaster.

@robsonwilianwinchester9726 well. the Ruble is now a memecoin, I think Doge should be the national currency of Russia. There is even a Putin coin out there haha

This is what happens when you try to apply Medieval economic theory to modern 21st century economics hahahah. Sorry erdogan, the days of the camels and mules and open air markets ruling the world economy is long past. Like say 200 years.
