  1. there is rumors of high level meetings between US and Russian gov officials. very hush hush where the Russian negotiators are trying to negotiate a Russian exit from the war. with assurances Putin and his buddies and get away scott free with no repercussions. and a possible removal and exile of Putin from power and installation of a pro Western gov in Moscow in exchange for total lifting of sanctions and back to status quo business as usual for Russia. From what I hear they are at odds with Putin remaining in power. The Russians want Putin to remain in power and keep Crimea but return to teh pre war 2022 borders , USA wants Putin gone from power and replaced with someone more palatable to the west and the Crimea will become a Neutral zone under UN management. and of course the Ukrs wants Putin gone from power total withdrawal of all Russian forces from Ukr including Crimea, and war reparations. and Russian war criminals handed to them for trial.
