  1. as for the major power with teh worst hygiene in WW2, I would say it would be the USSR. and the KMT Chinese. Hygiene what Hygiene no such thing as toothpaste, soap, there were food shortages, bathing was probably in the nearest river or not at all. The KMT chinese armies foraged and lived off the land mostly since their logistics were corrupt and very inefficient. Also the Japanese late war probably had very bad hygiene in the Burma and new Guinea theaters, heck there are accounts, of starving Japanes soldiers eating the locals and allied troops and each other.

  5.  @shuttfup2610  and its not only that, its worse when you got captured by the Soviets and you had to force march many miles in sub zero weather to a freezing train to Siberia, where they beat you and feed you watered down gruel. Then after the war they keep you for 10 more years to do dangerous reconstruction work and still feed you watered down gruel with beatings.

  7. US troops were probably the most cleanest of all fighting countries in WW2, they were practically lavished with equipment and had the industries to produce them.
