  1. yah for the USA Georgia was not important enough to be an issue with teh Russians. However Ukraine much more important due to its location, industry , agriculture and importance to the Russians, I think if the RUssians. did a bit better in the Ukraine war, the west would just accept that Ukraine was a lost cause , but as events turned out the Ukrainians are fighting very hard and bogging down the Russians who turned out a 3 stooges performance on the battlefield, then the USA saw a chance to finally cripple the RUssians enough for Russia not to be a threat to the west. and what better way to do it but massive military aid to the Ukrainians to keep the Russians bogged down in a bloody very costly war of attrition and the knowing Putins pyshcology of not backing down until he gets what he wants, the USA planned to grind down the Russian army thereby causing a purge of PUtin with a defeat in Ukraine along with destroying the Russian economy and military so Russia wont be a threat to Europe and US interests. Classic. Russians did the same with Vietnam when they massively supplied the Vietnamese with weapons and bogged down teh Americans.
