I already surmised this since late last year, that is why the Russian air force is really a no show over Ukraine, and why neither side has achieved air superiority, like a supposedly 2nd strongest air force int he world supposedly cannot even defeat the Ukrainian air force which is 10 times weaker than it. that just boggles the mind. also Russian planes have been much overused to the point that they are unflyable or dangerous to fly and suffering breakdowns. Also I think the leaked USA intel that Ukraine is running out of SAMs is probably designed to lure out what is left of the Russian air force into Ukraine, to get them shot down, already today, a bunch of SU-34s got shot down over Ukraine by Ukr SAMs. After this war is over, the Russian air force would be so mangled that Moldova would have a stronger air force than Russia.
