  1. The administration was supposed to pass some legislation that would replace DACA. Originally it was the DREAMERS program. But it turned into something else. And then it wasnt passed altogether. But Trumps administration tried to get rid of it anyway. The justifiable reason Roberts was asking for wasnt the policy itself. It was basiclly "why didnt you do your part of the bargin?" Trumps administration couldnt come up with a good reason for not doing what they said they would do. So SCOTUS told them to fulfill their part before the court does theirs. Basiclly to go cut the red tape like any other administration would have to do.

  2. If you agreed to pass legislation to replace DACA, didnt do it, but tried to get rid of it anyway. Do you really expect the supreme court to be ok with that? Trumps administration should know how goverment works. You have to do it by the book. Especially if you said you would in the first place. You have to cut thru the red tape. Trying to circumnavigate that will pretty much always fail.
