Not really. During pregnancy many hormones are released. These boost many things for the mother including breathing. Specifically lung capatcity and gas exchange efficiency. On paper pregnant women should be the best at wearing masks because of these biological advantages.

@bambi1971 no...it's more those hormones are already released so on paper, pregnant women should be more suited to wear a mask. Of course there's exceptions to every rule. And some have indeed had problems. I helped an expecting friend of mine with that issue by taking a sowing needle and poking some more holes in her mask so she could breath better and that seemed to solve the problem. But everybody is different.

@bambi1971 I can't blame you for being skeptical about what these guys on the news say. Keep I mind such issues that you mentioned were present long before covid hit. Autism especially. The best advice I can give is don't get suckered to much into it. The news definitely has a way of making everything about covid when that's not the case. And do your own research. Plenty of studies, articles, data, and even other YouTube videos that are just facts. Unbiased facts. Look at the raw data and make your conclusions from there. I'd say that's the best way to go. @shelbysanders9747 I'm sorry all this had to occur during your pregnancy. Just remember while it's not great, it's not a situation you can't control or that won't get better. Diseases have come and gone before and this is no exception. Don't let this rob you of the joy of these special 9 months. 6 months have already gone by. Soon your little boy/girl???? Will be here😊 look forward to what's to come don't dread it. It's going to be great for you and your family.

@shelbysanders9747 wow pregnant and a essential worker. My you're a tough woman😊 I'm sorry about all the extra stuff and getting overheated. That's no fun. I really do appreciate you sticking with it though. You easily obtain some paperwork saying you don't. But you have something alot of people don't. Love and concern for those around you😊 that and the nature of job but still. You have beautiful qualities. This boy is gonna be very lucky to have a mother like you😊

@shelbysanders9747 we are.....for now. We just entered phase 4 where im at so this where all the bars and restaurants can open with 50% capacity so we'll see where this goes. Have things changed where youre at since your first post?

@shelbysanders9747 oh dear. I'm sorry you're in a tough spot right now. But dont lose hope. The good times can't last but neither can the bad. Things will get better. So do all you can to protect your little one but don't plan too far ahead. You can't predict the future only experience right now. So take it one day at a time. I'm sure everything will be ok for you❤ And keep persevering in the safety measures. Sadly there is no example to follow so be your own. Keep looking out for others. It's a great quality to have. It'll make you a great mom😊
