Symbolizing a total destruction of all false religion. Remember too Jesus said "unless those days were cut short no flesh would be saved". Again pointing toward total destruction. What Jesus was refering to was not the condition of the world during the end. But during the last days. Why can we say this? Well Remenber the phrase "the presence of the son of a man". This refers not to Jesus himself but to the messanic kingdom which he is king of. Careful study of the scriptures shows it has been ruling over the earth since the year 1914. Aka Christ's presence. So yes during the last days things would not reach doomsday levels of bad. But remember what happened when Noah entered the ark? How it began to rain and flood immediately? Same thing will happen modern day. What is our closing the door event? The worldwide cry of peace and security. 1st Tess. 5:3 "whenever it is that they are saying Peace and Security then instant destruction is to be upon them just as birth pangs upon a pregnant woman and they will by no means escape" Very soon for one reason or another. The world will shout a collective joyful cry claiming that they have brought peace and security to mankind. At this point the door is closed. The last days have ended. And Gods messanic kingdom will begin to methodically remove the badness and wickedness of this system of things.

Who says he was white? Remember the bible gives no indication of his appearence. Every image literary work and art piece is done with western viewpoints and interpretations. In reality he probably never looked anything close to what we think.

Well youve got the right idea. But the time for that is not yet. There needs to be a cry of "peace and security" first. This is just a mishap but soon it will be common place
