And why can't the government do something to prevent hours-long lines in the first place, instead of limiting early voting, absentee voting, dropboxes, and polling stations? Respectable countries don't have this problem. As for IDs, if they're free and are easy to request, I have no problem with them. If they cost money, that constitutes a poll tax, which is banned by the 24th amendment. You know what's really going on though. Republicans know they're unpopular; they lose the popular vote in everything and already only get power through gerrymandering and the uneven population distribution between states. So they're trying to limit votes in Democratic areas and in voting methods that Democrats are more likely to use. The fact that they can punish minorities is a bonus. There's no way you don't know what they're doing.

  5. Did I miss the part of the Constitution that said homeless people can't vote? And if that 50 bucks could feed your family for a few days, do you really think you'd use it to buy an ID instead? Please. There's no reason IDs can't be free, other than the ruling class hating poor people.
