@TechnoEstate So you're in favor of 12 years of neo-Hitler?

@SteveM-gj2vy Then we'll just get 70 Democratic Senators. Also it's weird that you'd complain about a free college program that would cost like $100 billion a year, but you've never complained about the trillions of dollars we shoveled into big corporations earlier this year, or the (if I remember correctly) $170 billion per year Trump tax cuts, or our grossly oversized $750 billion military.

@TechnoEstate We may have different goals in mind then. I'm not looking for a violent revolution that builds on the events in Kenosha and Portland. I want less Kenosha and Portland. I don't even hate capitalism. I just want it to be less shitty, the way multiple other countries have figured out how to do. It didn't take a revolution to get the New Deal or Medicare. It just took some good, clean public pressure. I think we need to reset, get people feeling safe with Biden, and work from there, because the problems we're trying to fix will still be there. It'll just be easier to deal with them without all the Trump nonsense in the way.

@IMSiegfried Apparently not. But if the upcoming eviction crisis is as bad as they say it'll be, we might be looking at a legitimate depression.

@SteveM-gj2vy Empathy? Social cohesion? Creating a more educated society to meet the demands of evolving technology? I've already gone to college and paid off the loans. I have no skin in the game. I just think free public college is a relatively cheap way to reduce our out-of-control wealth inequality. And you're detached from reality if you think I'm part of a terrorist group or hate group or whatever. I'm just a guy who likes some things that Denmark, Germany, etc. are doing and would like to see them done here. I have Republican parents, I was a McCain/Romney voter, I have a decent understanding of Republicans. I just have different opinions than you guys. Regarding your other comment about "my generation", every generation was hated when they were in their 20s. Millennials and Gen Z aren't uniquely bad.

@SteveM-gj2vy Interesting choice of words considering the cities involved. Kenosha is 10% black and Portland is 6% black. Kyle Rittenhouse is white, the people he shot were white, and the Trump supporter killed in Portland was white. This is all mostly caused by white people. But please, tell me what America is and has become from your point of view.

@SteveM-gj2vy I'd call myself a 3. Most people from other countries call Bernie center left, single-payer healthcare exists in almost every first world country, and free college exists in some of them. I do agree that America's political center is a 6 or 7 right now, but it shouldn't be. It should be 5, the center. And when you go issue by issue, Americans seem open to left policies. The public option has like 65% approval, free college and a $15 minimum wage have 60% approval. I find it amusing how conservatives call America the greatest country in the world, but always seem to think we can't do things that other countries already do. With the size of the U.S. economy, we could do almost anything we wanted to. It's not an issue of ability, it's an issue of political will.
