  1. The data shows that when the IRS has more money, it spends more time auditing the rich. Either way, I don't plan on dodging taxes so I'm not too concerned.

  2. It's also not going to pass the Senate anyway. If I remember correctly, the IRS funding was something the centrist Dems really pushed for to pay for the stuff in the IRA. They have no reason to switch sides and support this.

  3. It's impossible to say for sure, but I'm going to trust the data that says when they had more funding, they went after the rich way more often. Maybe I'm wrong and they've changed their policy for good. But keeping them underfunded definitely isn't the solution.
