@Danielson1818 My original interpretation was that you wanted to sacrifice LGBTQ rights and abortion rights and racial justice for some sort of "unity", so I thought I'd give you a chance to clarify what you meant. Given your hostility toward the question, I'm guessing that's exactly what you meant.
First of all, I don't think those things are opposed to the concept of treating people with dignity. If anything, those are part of the solution.
Secondly, I don't see how those are threatening Democratic unity, other than your own individual commitment to the party. Abortion was one of the main drivers of Democratic turnout in 2022. It won everywhere it was directly on the ballot, even in Kentucky. Democratic voters widely support BLM. Democratic voters widely support LGBTQ rights.
Think back to early 2020 when Democrats were divided. What was the divide over? Universal healthcare, tax rates, income inequality, and the role of the welfare state. Economic stuff.
Would I like the Democratic party to be more economically progressive? Absolutely. But if your main goal is party unity, it's hard to argue that what they're doing now isn't working.
