Its ludicrous to believe that the mind is pure information derived from computation, but not that matter is also derived from computation. But its not Turing computation, its actual real computation able to "compute" un-computable functions.

Nature and the Academia are full of NPCs. the entire modern physics is entirely NPCs, no wonder the field is stuck in 1940, they can't accept that maybe Einstein was wrong, that there are missing things, they use General Relativity as Gospel, Science was supposed to use the scientific method, yet, you are almost not allowed to make experiments, least they might rock the boat.

  11. 12:10 I don't believe in mathematics, it is just like a computer program, you can load 2 incompatible programs and corrupt your entire work. Wasn't the result of the entire thousand years of losing time in mathematics that it was proven by Godel that mathematics is inconsistent and incoherent. So basically its just like a computer game, most of the mathematics disciplines are toys. I'm an engineer, I use mathematics as a tool, never the end result of anything. There's no point in doing mathematics for the sake of it, I used to think like that when I was younger, but now I'm approaching my 40s, I don't get off anymore with mental masturbation.

  12.  @russellchido  its not artificial intelligence, it has 0 intelligence. I prefer to call those things Crystalized Intelligence. all of the supposed intelligence was actually a real human, it was just stored to be used later. That's also why I don't fear the explosion of super-intelligence, we're the explosion of super-intelligence, those things are only saved copies and they will never be able to do anything new in a new domain that there was never data input to begin with, they are not adaptable like organic intelligence, they're just as brittle as all other kinds of machine and tools we make, we're the creators, those things cannot be the creators ever, it would be the same as us humans surpassing God, we can't do that, and so doesn't those tools. You can pretty much notice it when you ask it to poop out computer code in python, for things that are usual, they work amazingly, now try to ask it to make something that's very unusual that has very little examples of how its done (anything that's not web-dev for ex), and see the things bork completely.

  13. 2:04 which is never, you never want the nukes to really fire, you only want the politicians to pretend they can fire as a bluff. Which is why I don't design those things, I would intentionally sabotage them in secrecy and would get caught eventually, as those things have multiple systems of redundancy against failures like that.
