@GreenHypnotherapy scrum/agile is bullshit to sell books nowadays. The entire idea of agile was having a team that iterates. Waterfall is good enough for entire industries creating real things in the real world. Sure software is flexible, but we control that flexibility, somewhere sometime you need to set the goal and aim at that, you can't keep sprinting forever (more like a dog chasing its tail) If you just take waterfall and do it incrementally as a continuous process and loops it back and do smaller deployment, you basically got a scrum without the excessive bullshit of project management which is totally the opposite of the freaking agile manifesto, what a joke. plan -> execute -> check results -> make another plan , keep iterating until you're done. Its basically the scientific model. what an arrogant view of the world thinking waterfall is planning everything ahead to the smallest of the details. on the other hand that was good enough to put man on the Moon. and there were computers and software. Having a plan is the start, maybe the most important thing. "agile" isn't about just doing shit without any plan, its only about a not so formal plan because people are supposed to have experience. initial novice team absolutely should not use agile without pairing with senior experienced people. No wonder software is all full of bugs nowadays... Just make it like a fixed product and stop changing the goals so much with the winds... Too much flexibility, its fragile.
