  1.  @AllanHinde-mb2pr  "How much has NATO" maybe they lost the will to live. but no, they didn't lost anything, only old expired ammunition and weapons, now they can be sold newer one from the US. This is good for the US economy.

  2.  @TheFireGiver  "this war would still be considered one of the worst geopolitical moves in all history" totally, but you are thinking like a head of State, not like a criminal warlord. It doesn't matter what you lose or win or any of the geopolitics. It only matters for Putin to stay in power, it seems it have worked. He probably took the opportunity to send all man that opposed the government to die in the war while no one was looking around, war is perfect for that. Now he stays in power until he dies, he's probably going to accept the deal the Americans will propose and the war will end, there was never a point to this war from a nation state point of view anyway. Also the Americans also got what they want, everyone afraid of Russia and buying their weapons, so the US can revive its economy. Its a win-win for everyone, even the Europeans, that now realize how much in the hands of Russia they were. The only ones that lose are the Ukrainians, even if they technically win the war (a huge IF).

  3.  @DerakosZrux  oh yes, good point on that, the first strike doctrine, being neutral has an advantage. on the other hand, imagine being a small country in the middle of Europe and nukes fall from the sky on your neighbors, you're in the plume anyway (fallout don't care about borders) , it doesn't really matter much.
