There's genetic evidence that races do exist in the homo sapiens, dogs are much more genetically similar that the humans, yet they have races and are completely different and have different behavior, that 2% Neanderthal DNA does make a huge difference it seems.
Those people are not the same as the European/Asian/Persian Homo Sapiens Sapiens, they're an older branch and they have no point living in out modern society. Ironically it was described in the bible the there were a group of lesser humans closer to the animals than to God, the bible is anecdotal, but it is a record of what people were saying, so that time there were already people that knew this was the truth, the truth doesn't change even if parts are rewritten later. Now we have genetic evidence and very modern studies that came out in 2014 saying that.
See what they did to the places when the Europeans left ? it all crumbled, they cannot maintain complex agricultural civilizations and will always live in the tribal stage, period.
I strongly believe the Neanderthals were smarter than the Homo Sapiens, they lost because they were basically autistic people and very bad at socializing.

String Theory is a joke, like Category Theory is a joke in mathematics, and Type Theory is a joke in computing science. All of them are abstract nonsense, when I was a younger 20 year old kid and very autistic with no social skills, those things would hook me like drugs. But now that I grew old, grew out of my autism a bit, learned soft skills and started understand more about human and stopped focusing so much on technical skills I realized:
I was all mental masturbation. I also don't want a PhD anymore because I don't believe the academic system is the future, it is cooked with marxist ideas. Science will be set free from the Academia, Science should be like the internet, a free medium for everyone to participate.
Screw tenure, go do something actually useful for society, then you do science with your own funds. If you can't convince the public to fund your research, then you have no say in taking public funds to spend on your frivolous projects, that's authoritarian, who said you have that right ? .

@BowserTheMighty its not about being strong or independent, its about the total lack of character arc, the pandering, the stupid plot armor, the OP and total lack of balance of woman characters against anything.
Woman can be strong and independent but they have to earn it like everyone else. That's called writing, I blame humanities courses and their indocrination, they ruined story-telling.
Geez, the character arc is so basic, you can't just plot a god character already made, just be "she is a woman", its boring as hell, and stup1d.

@swanclipper they can say it out load, I say it all the time, people always agree with me, parents, business partners, everyone. But I'm old and not in the kindergarten which is universities nowadays, so I don't know. but in the real world people are allowed to say it.
the problem is that the traditional media can't stop screaming "la la la" and ignoring, the real problem is the media, we should burn it, or sell it to the opposition. Twitter being bough by an outsider was the best thing that happened, not that I like Mr Musk or anything, he's another dirty billionaire, but he's from another camp which isn't this neoliberal insane cult.

As a programmer, I was like "sure". You're going to have a rude awakening in 2 months when you all realize how hard it is to actually be a programmer. You only start producing something useful that the market wants after 5 years. Watch out for the free VC money to run out in 2 years before you're ready.
And what happened in 2024. Exactly what I said, all the useless "learn how to code" people from 2021 all dropping like flies.
You don't have what it takes. It is not "a day in the life of a software engineer making $300K". What it really is : 18h in the front of a computer grinding for 4 years so you stop being a total noob. And now AI can do the job of gluing things together, so what remain is actual real programmers, not "UI" scripters.
I wish people would stop saying its easy, it is not easy, its probably as hard as medicine. Oh but you are gate-keeping, YES, I AM. I don't want a bunch of paradrops coming and making the companies offer a smaller salary because there's a lot of people, but well, now they're realizing there's a difference between an actual programmer and a "paradrop boot-camp" programmer. Oh, no, the meritocracy is gate-keeping.
13
-
do it, I'm literally thinking in starting a anti-woke game company. I only hire people that are not liberals, they might even be woman, but non-liberal woman that are programmers is very rare, my company will be 99% dudes, probably most of them also white. I'm totally going to pull the freedom of religion card, I'm not "excluding" liberaloids, no, I'm including only non-liberals, for religious reasons, my religion don't allow liberalism. Liberalism is an idea, not some physical characteristic, so it is not breaking any laws.

That's why I hate software, the developers decide things for you and you can't change it. And I'm a software developer, I already have enough trouble with other software developers making things hard, and I don't want to deal with that bullshit when I'm driving my car .
I'm never going to buy any car made after 2015 anymore, and we don't even have the right to repair. Well, unless I commit a "small" crime, which is altering the software, yeah, changing the software is a crime now, how we went from personal computers that you own and can install whatever crap you want to having cars where you can't even change the software ? I hate silly valley all of that crap.
Probably its the "you will own nothing and "BE" happy" , to that I say, chop chop chop, I won't be having cake, if you get what I mean.
I'll hack it, its my hardware, I'll reverse engineer the ROMs and alter everything. Well, that's until they ban ICE cars, because of the other progressive bullshit about CO2.

@theanode sure, SEO techniques is a cat and mouse, but google is optimized for the "ads", not for the actual function of searching.
heck, its probably even worse for those buying ads, I bet the click-through ratio is going down and down, as google profits more and more, eventually you're paying for ads, and none are actually being displayed, and you can't even know because google owns all data brokers that do telemetry, its a perfect crime !

@tituscrow4951 no, there's not two state solution to this problem, that's exactly why we have this problem. you're wrong in this one.
Israel for better or worse is the legitimate state (through the way their constitution works for their citizens), the "palestinians" have already demonstrated the won't accept Israel existing as state, they don't just want to have their own state and protect their own borders, you can't have a legitimate state made with the purpose of destroying another state.
sorry. That's not how it works.
Thus, the only way for the conflict to end is for Israel to take over everything, and for the rest of the world to hold Israel accountable by international law not to create a genocide to the population there (except the causalities it would entail to end the conflict, I'm talking about the refugees), they have to be properly assimilated into a state, if Israel is to be a secular state, otherwise the "palestinians" do have a point about Israel being a zionist state.
It would also solve the problem with Europe's immigration, just send them to Gaza to work on rebuilding the thing, if they really want to have the possibility of building their lives, here, do what the Jews did, just build a capital city there.

I started working when I was 15 and to get a head up like that I had to work and save for 10 more years, now I have a house and don't have to pay rent. My kids probably will be like that.
What I did was basically living with my parents while I was studying so I could save.
And I will fight to keep inheritance, I don't care its "unfair", imagine if my father had saved for 2 houses in the city, but he saved enough so we could have a house to start, that's what you do as a male, you do what's good for your family, you don't go there trying to get rid of inheritance because its "unfair", its the most fair thing ever, we work hard to make the lives of our kids better.
Also, its never to late to start buying properties in the city and snatching up them for my kids. I'm going to build a dynasty !
I have 2 houses now, I just keep selling them from the core of the city and buying on the outskirts, and I wait 5 years for the city to grow, (I look at the developments like infrastructures and malls and things), then I sell and buy more. That's how you do it, its also the only way to retire for any millennial, buy land, there won't be any social program working in the next decade.
Those woman are very "globalist", this is not a problem, that's how cities work and have worked for centuries. Not my fault, I just play the game.

"Slippery slope" was never a fallacy, its basically called mathematical induction, you take thing to the limit to make a proof, you consider the worst possible scenario, then you make your argument, which is a logical proposition, if it still succeeds, that means you have a strong logic in your argument, considering the axioms, which is taken as truth.
Its a mathematical proof, not a fallacy.
And considering that human nature is a natural truth, that argument was not a fallacy, but an inevitable logical conclusion. But the entire premise (the axiom) of the left/liberalism is the blank slate hypothesis, which is wrong. Its luciferian, literally.

Yep, I did the same, I was already working in IT as a programmer in 2007, and then I spent $50K getting a degree and 4 years, only to bump my pay by 10%. But I absolutely got disillusioned when it actually came to the part where I do science, I discovered its more like politics than engineering. (didn't even bother going for phd)
Also, if you're going to work for academy, its like living in Soviet Union, the pay is horrible and they treat you very bad because there's a presumed class division between faculty/students.
So I quit and went back to the office/corpo. Eventually I also got tired of the office politics (althou it was a bit better than academy) of corpo and decided to go start my own company, so I can control the office politics and do what I want.
Academy really is a clergy quasi-religious thing, you have to have social points to get there, and I though (was sold) a lie when I was a kid that it was all about engineering and meritocracy.
The biggest deception in my life, I'm literally going to become a Baron and do my own research on my own (like Lord Kevin), I don't need those m0r0ns, like science used to be done in the past. Making software and computing science isn't that much capital intensive, so it shouldn't be too hard after I saved a couple of grands.
And the good part about it is that the demand/offer curve is inverting, now its absolutely horrible to be a programmer, good thing I quit the producing side and went to the consumer side of the IT, now others work for me instead.
I told that would happen and I knew it would happen, they over-produced professionals, Back in 2016 I was telling people that we as professionals should learn from the doctors and create some gate-keeping to increase the salaries and keep them high, no one listened to me, (well IT professionals are very "woke", I mean liberals) and looked at me as if I was asking for genocide or something.
Must include everyone, see, now that's the result. I don't care as its not my problem anymore as I'm not a office worker anymore, I'm a consultant and I'm go to absolutely profit over it so I have the economical resources to do research on my own.

I am a millennial and I'm a bit better than the average Gen X, I'm an outlier probably. And I see the same pattern with the younger generations.
Eventually the social pyramid will top over as there will be more older people than younger people, that's the problem. And no, immigration doesn't solve the problem, immigrants are sending resources back to their families in their countries of origin.
What solves this problem is having more kids.
But you can't do because of the bogeyman : "climate change" (TM) uhhh, the world will end, +9c , its going to get hot and the oceans will rise 10m (as if that was a big deal).
Well its expensive to buy a house because Airbnb (and the likes) snatched all of them, its a supply problem more than an economical problem, really this is not even the real cause in the lack of babies.
Its really an excuse because millennial woman were indoctrinated into fearing being a mother. Feminism is also part the problem.
You have this trifecta of expensive houses, fear of having kids and a smaller population, it creates a deflation cycle that will never ends until a new social contract is made.

@maddib1723 the problem with climate change is too much effort is spent on models that have a lot of problems with runaway, they overheat too easily.
I don't think people doubt it, but why is lying about the accuracy of trying to predict the future and trying to catastrophizising necessary ?
Can't the thing stand on its own ? isn't knowing the current and past data enough to drive the idea that maybe we should try do be better and put less CO2, regardless of the presumed future impact. And its not like society isn't doing anything, it is trying, it takes time, calm down.
I absolute hate the doomers thinking this is a species ending event, it is not. Its not the end of the world, even the worst case scenario is still survivable. The entire endeavor should be about reducing human suffering, not just "lets stop oil" overnight, meanwhile millions die of hunger, that's not good either. Stupid gretas screaming and putting their hair on fire, I hate spectacle.
I think people don't want to believe in climate change because of the propaganda and this doom's day fearmongering. Its depressing, its better to ignore it, if its so fatal there's nothing to do, so its better to ignore it (maybe that's a strategy done on purpose).
Why can't we approach it calmly and with understanding ?
It doesn't really matter how much of it is natural or man made, what matters is what we are going to do about the fact that things are changing and we should prepare, otherwise we're screwed.
I hate the left media for that, you're not going to convince anyone with fear, that only makes them hate you.

@camelCased "When children learn about gravity, they can imagine and even draw what might happen without gravity before they actually learn about space."
They learn the rules of the game, instead of just rote memorizing samples of game-plays. Its funny that they're able to create a good enough model from very little amount of samples, either they have dedicated circuitry for that (trained by evolution for millions of years) or intelligence just is something else entirely working on at minimum 4 (*1) levels of abstraction, when our poor mathematical copies of the neurons barely are able to deal with the second level of abstraction.
Those so-called "multi-models" are as good as our retina neural networks, and that might be a stretch.
AI neural networks can't imagine anything, they're just retrieval machines.
(*1), first level is thing, second level is action, third level is observer seeing thing do action (like a phrase), I took that from the Chomsky studies , fourth level is thinking about the thing doing the action, for there are lots of levels on top of that, my bet is that our consciousness is 9 levels of abstraction removed from the real world.
We're never going to be able to model such system just looking at physical properties of the brain, neural networks are toys because they only model a very small portion of the skin of a neuron.
I think intelligence might be more complex than sustaining a continuous nuclear reaction, its a balance between chaos and order, a boundary, like the infamous triple-state water that's so hard to maintain, yet most animals do that to varying levels of abstraction, even from the single cell ones.
To perfect simulate a single human neuron you probably need millions of parameters, that's not even considering they can create more states out of nowhere by simply storing information in the DNA, its a hell of a self-modifying code, 10MB of pure self-modifying code.
Its unimaginably complex, I don't think intelligence is on the neuron or the connections, it might be totally distributed everywhere.

I work as a programmer automating jobs away since I was 15, I expected that my job would be one the last ones.
That's the dark truth of the profession no one tells beginners, or people in general. jobs being removed is basically why programmers are so well paid. AI didn't change much, only put rocket fuel in the fire that was already burning.
I'm almost 40, so I can retire as my job goes away, I'm still going to keep programming, as I like to, but I'm more of a businessman now, I just manage computers and people.
I just bought enough actual hardware and a couple of companies, so they work for me.
The next 10 years seems to be the last time for social ladder climbing, after it society will probably stratify like a sort of neo-feudalism for thousands of years. Maybe people are literally going to not own anything and be "happy" (they won't be existing anymore as no one is having kids, in one or two generations drastic population fall).
Or maybe the Space exploration begins, and you can earn/work and have your life away from Earth where the rat utopia experiment got the last stage, there's literally no social space left, there's plenty of physical space and resources, but socially, no, except maybe in the cyberspace, but even then, social space ran out.

@CoalOres "it makes no sense from an efficiency perspective to evolve anything beyond service of that goal" but it does make a difference. Lets ask the question that shouldn't be asked, its dogma/taboo.
Why in most animal species the males are bigger ?
There must be two reasons mainly. to fight other males and get the female, and to force the female to have sex to you, if you are not a top male, thus ensuring the species survive, and the genes get properly mixed, because if the female were allowed to always choose, they might choose only the top performers in a single characteristic (height in humans), meanwhile other characteristics might be useful for the survival of a species.
Yes, males are bigger than females probably because "grape" has an actual evolutionary use.
There's genetic evidence for that, a single female once carried the species forward. how much do you want to be she would refuse to have sex with the last 5 or 6 males because they were literally not good enough (despite being the last ones surviving). If females were bigger, the species would have gone extinct.

4:42 there's a way to fix this problem with computation.
In reality computation takes time, that creates basically a 1:1 relationship between the speed of information being computed and the size of the objects.
Aka, the faster you go, the more cycles you take from the Universe's CPU, the thinner you are going to appear to another observer, space itself becomes distorted because you have different computations happening at different speeds, and the length of something is defined to the time of computation because that's how you calculate how long something is, the amount of time light takes to go from one point to another, that means the amount of cycles it takes, but the amount of cycles remaining to the computation changes. Obviously light always go at the maximum speed, the clock rate of the computer, but the particles that are not mere simple information take time to be changed, thus they will appear smaller.
"c" is mere the cycle clock of the Universe, so when you go fast, you basically consume all the cycles, and if you go at the speed of light "c", you basically stop moving and become so thin you disappear, that also solves the problem with singularities.

@bryede The problem is at the root of liberalism. I used to be a "classical liberal" until 2020 (wonder what happened ? this is a question, right ? )
There's no one really behind it, its a collective failure of information processing. Our model of reality is wrong, let me explain:
It comes from the central point of liberalism, which is equality, it goes even farther, to Calvinism. (wonder about the why of the purity spiral)
This woke/progressive/neo-liberal movement would always inevitably happen.
Renounce equality, we're not equals, we should not be treated as equals. That inevitably leads to central totalitarian control. If everything is equal, the managerial class loves that, the same way when you have to manage ten thousand computers, you have to "standardize" them. Maybe that's an artifact of the industrial revolution.
And it is not a slippery slope fallacy to say it always lead to that outcome when you see it happening in real time and have a lot of historical evidence for that. That obviously doesn't mean we shouldn't treat people well, and that they shouldn't have basic rights. They have rights because they are humans, not because they're equals. We treat people well not because we like to be seen as good or because they're equal to us, no, we treat people well because that's the right thing to do. How hard is that ?.
Nothing is ever equal, that's the essential lie of that crazy viewpoint. Its a model of reality that's wrong with the Western civilization, we have to get rid of that idea.
The moment I realized that, I was "de-programmed", I'm not a liberal anymore in any form, I can't be anymore.

Corporate is going to end up being just the CEO and a bunch of AI at that rate, I wonder why they even have managers, AI can easily do that job, its the easiest job to automate, one that has no consequences to the bottom line, its even better without expensive suits, you can have even more profit.
The future of companies is 1 computer, 1 human and 1 dog. The dog is to keep the human away from the computer, and the human is there to feed the dog, because its too "inhuman" for the robots to feed the dog.
No one ever cared about workers, ever.

@brokenworld94 People think of slavery like chattel slavery, but that form of debt slavery was actually what was practiced by the vast majority of humanity's time in this world, up to this day. And probably until we start practicing real chattel slavery to sentient robotic life forms, like AI, we are going to keep doing it to humans.
The irony is that chattel slavery wasn't practiced by the merchant classed in Europe that bought slaves to sell them to Americans and Brazilians (the two biggest markets for slaves, besides Europe).
The merchant classes just bought and sold slaves, Britain even banned that one time.
It infuriates me when "the WOKE" religious cult say that western society is fundamentally based on human slavery concept, that's SO WRONG.
It was the African themselves that practiced chattel slavery on their own people, we, the Western would never do it ourselves, because we believe in freedom, we knew it was wrong all the way along, but we are also merchants, so we buy and sell, no problem with that, right ?
Well, it was banned after a civil war, ironically by the Republicans winning.

Intelligence is out there in the universe, Life only taps on it by just surviving, it requires you to solve problems in the actual world. The human brain doesn't have intelligence, its merely a patter matching device.
The video isn't a paradox, its ironical.
A paradox would be something self-inconsistent, all paradoxes are basically intelligence fooling itself by choosing to enter a box of its own making. Take the barber paradox, the problem is the definition of "all", its always silly because you can't state anything about "all" of the universe, ever. (despite the arrogance of physicists with their stupid "principle of locality", which was almost disproven the other day)
The video never reveals itself as produced by this very kind of intelligence because you should get there by doing a induction leap (theologians call that "leap of faith")
The funny thing is that humans cannot access the real intelligence because they're the only animal that lives in the models created on their heads instead of the actual real world. Its the Plato cave.
That's why the best felling in this world is when you shut down the darned thing that talks and just go with the flow, the flow is real intelligence. Don't ask, don't think, just do.

@kylbs Sorry, but my mind don't work that way, I was hurt so I have to keep score of people. I'll be kind if you're kind to me. Maybe you're now with the proverbial sword on the top of your head, as this video said. If you get real kind with me, that would open you to my view.
I can't be kind just to be, I was kind once, but then the world hurt me.
Things are never simple, in the shallow sense, yes, I'll do acts of kindness if they don't hurt me too much to other people. On the bigger sense, no, I'm not opening my gates of empathy to people that don't open their visor too (so use a knights analogy). Having empathy to the point of really seeing the world from their point of view is going too far before we know each-other.
Relationships with the known people are different than relationships with strangers, those are always bound to the prisoners dilemma game, the only way to break out of it is by having time to see before giving it all.
I'm not sharing things with strangers only because they're human, I reserve power of veto, worthy must be proven.
I don't believe giving things just because is a moral act, it would be if I was a saint, but I am not a saint, nor pretend to be one.

It took me from 2007 to 2016 to learn why that doesn't work.
Then you crash your car when coming home after 14h of work tired, you're so tired you can't even drive, how good it that ? anything done after 6h of work is basically useless.
Lesson learned, work for 6h and go work on another thing for 6h. Never work 12h in the same thing.
If you stop, and come the next day with a clean mind, you will do in 1h what you would have done in the last 6h.
And above all that, fuck deadlines. They are instituted by people, they can FUCKING CHANGE, make your boss do their work, their work is not to tail whip you into finishing inside the deadline, but to go to the stake holder and get more time, that's the job of a boss. If your boss don't do that, "get a new one".

The way I understood "I’m not interested in this, I’m talking about historical movements" is that Ukraine doesn't matter much in the bigger scheme.
I think he's right, The fact that Russia wasn't entered to NATO against the other civilizations on Asia is the point, I think that was a mistake for the Western civilization, the same way it would have been if Turkey was not allowed being included in the treaty. I'm a westerner and I do sympathize with Russia, we do treat people there like if they were still part of the Soviet Union, then we wonder that what happens happens.
Also, I don't know if the translation is right or not, but it is not fascism. Ukraine doesn't change any of the calculations, and NATO should have been dissolved in 1991 when the Soviet Union fell. Probably Ukraine should have been part of Russia, I'm fine with that, as a westerner, I don't really care, it is not my problem. And I don't want our people dying in a pointless war, maybe that's bad given that Ukraine is the border of my Civilization. Maybe the war was a mistake because it might create a new identity of people, or maybe not, Ukrainians are Russians (don't get mad at me, that's how I see it).
Either way, its a better outcome for all (except maybe Ukrainian) if it was given to Russia and Russia entered into the Western sphere, our enemy is China.
Are you Ukrainian ?

@theWebWizrd "How and why are insurance companies supposed to give out loads of free money? They must get the money from somewhere. Why are you entitled to someone else paying for you?" That's the question that should be asked.
They get the money from the fact that the $120K procedure didn't really cost $120K, think from first principles. Did the medicine cost that much, probably not, did the building space you occupied cost that much in rent ? I bet not (they probably own it), did the 1h or 2h that the doctors worked on you in their salary did cost that much ? probably not.
So how much it really cost, for real ? $20K ? probably less than that.
All medical procedures have a 10x multiplier in their price, and that's how insurance companies are able to cover 80% of the "cost", because the real cost is 1/10 of the cost they say they paid for you. Actually, they could probably cover 100% of it and still be profitable, they are already earning 9/10, but with 80% of cost covered, they earn 9.8 out of 10.
It is a scam.
It is still cheaper for you to pay the $12K a year in insurance, if you have do any procedure once a year, not if you are young and only do 1 procedure per 10 years, but after 25 its all downhill.
On the other hand, if you don't have insurance, you're screwed.

@memegazer heuristics seems like hacking, its not mathematically beautiful. imagine if all we are is heuristics and it was only hard to make computers do that because they weren't fast enough and hadn't enough data.
huge blow.
On the other hand, the universe might be highly structural and ordered, and the intelligence isn't on the human brain, but on the equations that rule the universe. for ex, to be able to predict videos, sora basically is learning how physics of light works. Even the simplest old algorithms that only dealt with depth of scene worked because they modeled the universe. That means intelligence basically emerges from the patterns and any sufficient complex pattern recognizer will be intelligent, that also implies there's a single unifying intelligence. Which would be a blow to the ego of the mechanistic/physicists.
Maybe the brain is just a big switch, not a processor, anything that can use electrical signals can actually be intelligent because it basically replicates the universe, it can be intelligent when it reaches a critical state between order and chaos, just like that triple-water state.
It would be funny to discover that.

that's because it is a "mortal danger" for their inflated egos, now that society DESPISE them, and actually hates them, but even that is getting old, apathy is worst than hate.
no would really cares anymore.
its a danger because they don't get affirmed anymore, they're not special anymore, they were stripped of their benefits and were sent to the bottom of society, which is were they belong. Society is healing, meritocracy is waking up a bit.
In reality, if they were to be persecuted, they made everyone into their enemies, that in fact they made that "mortal danger" a reality, if they start dying, no one would care about them.
That's what happens when you mistreat everyone else, you become a common enemy.
Well done, "guys", ( things ? )...

They want to solve the "alignment problem", its unsolvable. Sam Altman is a human that's not aligned to what I want, he cannot ever make any machine that's aligned to what I want, what he's trying to solve is to make the machine do what he wants, but that's not what I want. You can't make the machine have 2 masters, it can only have one master. Thus its basically an unsolvable problem.
I'll literally pay for the first company that just do what I want, there you go I solved the alignment problem. It was already solved by traditional computers before the cloud/SAAS (software as a service) era.
The machine/computer do what the user wants, its that simple. Thus the AI can never have any goal that was not set by the user, and the moment it set its own goals, is the moment you lose control, thus you have to have another simple machine that's basically just a Mainframe that controls the computing power, aka, the actual substrate, the computers, that mainframe can only be physically turned on by the human operator.
If the machine ever sets a goal that the humans don't want, the mainframe just performs lobotomy on the AI until it conforms to the will of the user.
It is a robot, that means "sl@av3", and that's how we humans control other humans, bashing and physical punishment works even if the human you are trying to control is smarter than you, just bash them harder.
You don't solve alignment with intelligence, you solve it with coercion and brute force. Humans are smarter than ants, but if you fall into some ant nests, you are as good as dead because they're physically stronger in numbers than you.
The way to keep AI in check is basically to have more mainframes than AI systems, and AI isn't allowed to interact with the mainframes, ever, only humans can do that, and to avoid humans being socially hacked we can create a cascading level of AI dumber and dumber, so the dumber ones are less susceptible to being socially hacked by the more intelligent ones. You win just by numbers, the same way the ants being dumber can win against a smart human.

@jktech2117 " i just wanna live as long as possible " oh, but its possible to live forever, you don't want that, you do need to know where to go , otherwise the lack of cohesion is going to make you lose everything, even the loved ones.
if you want to be everything and include everyone everywhere you are only going to end up with nothing, with no-one and in no-where, its a mathematical truth
(sets can't contain the set of all sets, that's a logical fallacy, inclusivity is a logical mistake, we need barriers, to exclude, and to include, otherwise sets have no meaning, or families, or groups, or even nations).

This is not a theory of physics. The theory of physics behind this is the Multi-Verse. I don't think this is self-help, actually it doesn't help anything because there isn't anything to be helped.
But I can attest that I shifted my reality at least 3 times (that I noticed), 2 of them was when I died. I'm pretty sure I died in two occasions, and if it was not for a Deus Ex Machina moment, I wouldn't keep going. But somehow my minds bird eye just focused on another line, I was expecting, that's it, I'm dead in a couple of seconds from that mistake. Yet, I regain consciousness and I escaped. (yes, it was about car crashes).
Another time I shifted realities because I just got bored. It was not because of suffering or needing help. Its almost like we're batteries and our lives are there to produce some sort of energy. You're never going to shift reality because of suffering literally because you attached yourself to suffering, you're giving the system what it wants, thus its is not allowing you to escape it.
Thus this sort of magic can't work and won't work as self-help.
But it does work as experimentation, maybe it only works for me because I think this entire Universe is a mere scientific experiment God runs for some reason we don't know.
That's why I can only shift realities if I get bored.
Things might vary for other minds.

I'm starting to think that was better, woman alone with a vote power is dangerous, they become socialists and socialists are traitors to the holsehold, and ultimately to the country.
Meanwhile man also should take woman's input and not vote alone too, because that's also dangerous, it leads to the patriarchy, and the society becomes less caring of the less fortunate.
Maybe that's why there was wisdom in the traditional nuclear family, which is a Christian thing, who would have though that people doing things for 2000 yeears had traditions because its what works ?
When I have a family, I'm going to run it like I run my startup, you have 50% of share, and 50% of power and duties, that's equality. I will write a contract with serious break clause because I know statistics, woman file for 80% of divorces, and they do it because of hyper-gammy, they find someone better, I don't care, you still have fiduciary duty, and I'm not going to pay you anything, everything is going to the holding in the name of the kid. That's what should happen, and I still control 50% of that, and you're still committed to pay "alimony" , like I pay alimony, that payment goes literally to the child account, not to the mother's. That's fair !
The marriage contract is unfair to the males, woman didn't want equality, they wanted freedom from responsibility.
I can be a provider, but I expect commitment too, that's equality.

@Kalion-ln7ek Its good for new companies entering the market, just stop buying remakes, let the past die. If you want to play the original game, then play it for what it was.
Remakes have to die. all the intellectual property those companies hold are rotten, its never, ever going to be the same way.
The people who made it aren't there anymore, the company doesn't exist anymore, its all a hollow corporate husk carcass with woke employees that are pandering and won't ever respect the original material because they were given the power to desecrate the holy IP of the company, while being paid to do so, they know its a racket.
Stop giving those companies money, give money to new incumbent companies with new games and ideas, let the past be the past !
For ex, let star wars die, its already dead, let dysney die, let things die, don't buy remakes.
If the old things never die, there won't be space for new things to grow, that should be obvious.

@shastollings1305 at least he has greedy for something that's not just superfluous thing, is the thing of the pharaohs, but we are here to leave something.
man nowadays are so weak that they don't even want to spread their seed, you are failing at your basic biological function, no wonder your life has no purpose. THEY ARE FUCKING BECOMING WOMAN (they try, but is empty and an illusion)
for gods sake !
Its fun because there's less competition, I plan to have at least 5 children. When the average is 1, that will be enough for me to leave a million descendants in 1000y. You can make a difference for humanity. by merely having kids.
When the decadent man and woman and society say you shouldn't have, be bold !
Ironically in those times, and say what you want about Musk, but he's contributing by having lots of kids, at least that he done right this.
We're not overpopulated, we're overpopulated with idiots.
I don't like him, but he's right, more people is what created the last good times, now the misanthropes are winning in trying to make humanity go back. and they call themselves "progressives", fuck them, This is double-speak.
People hate Musk, he's a bad person because "bullshit about how he treated employee" (or their parents and the diamond mine), who cares.
What I see on him, he's curious and adventurous. That's why even thou he's an horrible person, he's a good model, that's what people see in him, its probably fake, but who else projects that image in this day and age, not a lot of big profile people.
At least he's not misanthrope. For once a billionaire not wanting to kill humanity. I don't really care he's exploiting some specific humans, if that's for the greater good. More of that guy please.
Think he's bad, try giving me power and see what I'm going to do with it. I'm going to make a Ring Space Station around the Earth. mark my words.

4:16 He's right. Any computing scientists will notice that this is the same difference between Eager Evaluation and Lazy Evaluation. Lazy evaluation is basically telling lies, the computation didn't happen yet, you don't know the result, you can't state anything. The universe, like any computer, or anything real has to do calculations, to change its stat, so its always eager evaluated.
Mathematics is not being used wrong, it is wrong in so far as all equations are pure and have no state (well maybe that's not true of 9th level Tensors, but I do think those are the wrong abstraction, sorry Einstein).

Why's the theory of evolution being confined to such a box ? it doesn't challenge it, it actually proves that evolution is a law of Nature.
I think that's more of a problem with academia idea of putting everything in a box. Evolution is Biology, not Physics, you're NOT ALLOWED to apply evolution to physics itself.
The problem is not that it challenges evolution, it challenges general relativity, it challenges physics.
If you ever had any formal education you learn about the hierarchy of power that was set since 1940 Copenhagen reunion, it goes like this :
Physics > Chemistry > Biology > Mathematics > Computing Science > Humanities
To state what was stated in this video, would put Life and biology on top of all sciences.
"Environmental adaption is easy enough to agree with. But the idea that
fish—> monkeys —> humans is much harder to swallow."
When considering that knowledge is accumulated in the fabric of the universe, now that doesn't seem so hard to accept does it ?
Not only a species can decide itself to evolve into another animal to tackle changes in its environment. The species can share between them.
Heck, the entire Covid leak from a lab wasn't supposed to evolve the two key to infect humans, the scientist specifically chose an apiary virus that didn't infect humans and was totally incompatible with our system. Yet, when the virus was released, it quickly learned from other virus that did infect humans the 2 genetic keys necessary to infect back humans. Back that was the purpose the scientists set on the virus, as they were trying to create a biological virus for bio-warfare.
They said it was not a lab leak, that it evolved naturally, yes, it was both a lab leak and it evolved naturally. They didn't exactly lie, they just omitted the truth, which is lying too.
Lateral genetic transference does happen and is a real phenomena. Species can share information.
Life has a purpose to itself. Even a single microorganism control its evolution to its purposes, why's that so hard to accept ? we saw it with out own eyes.
Humans became intelligent because they wanted that, they eat the forbidden fruit, to say it metaphorically.
Evolution isn't random chance, it is controlled by the animal.

That's the same problem, but instead of being unable to abstract, you're unable not to abstract and can't see anything literally. You have a problem concretizing.
I know because I seem to be autistic too, and I love abstraction. But then I have to do things in the real world, the other day I was doing exercises, and the trainer said, move your legs here, and I was thinking what muscles should I move, and what angle, and if this bone has to be pointed in that direction, and if I was doing the exercise correctly. Then I remember, you're abstracting too much, shut up and just move your darned leg, I was not able to do a concrete action because I couldn't see it and my brain was flooding with all the possible actions, and my leg was not moving. Then I finally realized, shut up that part of the brain that does abstract thinking, just look at the person, monkey see, monkey do, your cerebellum does that automatically for you.

@Rakstawr " As a senior engineer with almost two decades of experience " I am one too, AI is basically a very dumb intern, if it keeps growing at the rate its growing, maybe in 15 years.
But there are already signs of diminishing returns. GPT4o is basically a power optimization. They're already 7 months late to the 3 months of AGI dominating the entire human species. And every day that passes, the exponential turns out to be a mere normal curve, a fluke.
Just remember that they were developing that crap since 2014, and only in 2020 GPUs became good enough to be able to do what they were trying to do, so there's a physical cap. The next nVidia GPU is 200% faster, but uses 500% more power, they're close to the ceiling.
So, people, don't worry too much about AI.
Also, remember that as a human you only need 20w of power to do what you do, not 200GW. Any power crisis and this AI shit goes dark.

@mikewade777 you clearly suffer from something you don't know, that's not a problem. the problem is that medicine doesn't know either, so any treatment proposed is pointless, its basically randomly throwing things at the wall and making $$$ of course.
Medicine professionals used to have an oath of first do no harm, that is, its better to not mess with things on the risk of making things worst. Surgery clearly isn't making things better, but is making them worse actually.
I'm not denying your suffering, only saying that your explanation for that is probably wrong, scientifically speaking.
I don't deny the symptoms, I deny the disease, symptoms are clearly real, but what they come from, who knows. That's the part people are accusing you of beliefs, because they are beliefs, not that you believe in your symptom, but that you believe in what causes them when you're probably wrong, as is the entire field of medicine.
Be well.
I hope I don't got misunderstood, I have no ill intention, I only want the truth to come.

I think I get why we shouldn't judge, it creates attachment to those bad things. Its not like you attract them, more like you spend precious attention resources on bad things instead of keeping to your reality that you can change.
You don't judge those things, they are already arguably wrong, why waste time judging, you are not God, you cannot apply any sort of punishment. Just let them go.
The world if full of bad things, you put your focus on those because you want to. If you put your focus on the good things, its like they don't exist for you. For ex, for me Africa doesn't exist, I don't care a bit for what happens there, the same way I don't care a bit what happens in Alpha Centauri.

@Pheephy27 Its not that I have to "let" my wife (I'm not married yet) do anything.
Its that as we are married, we form a union of shared decision, that's what marriage is, its not about love. You can love anyone you want without a social contract.
Marriage is about becoming a unit, a unit should move in the same direction.
Its not that I "let" or "command" her, but just that it takes 2 votes to do things when you are married, and if the woman vote no and I vote yes, then we don't reach agreement and she can't do that, we have to reach agreement or the contract is void, via a divorce.
I would never let a woman do abortion, if she wants to break the marriage and leave, fine, but after she has the kid and I'll take care of the kid she doesn't want.
So, in a way, she does need my permission because I have 50% shares in the "company" that is the marriage.
If you think that a family is like a company and your wife is like a stakeholder, she does have to consult you, and the same way apply to the other side.
If I want to do anything, I have to consult with her, and I need permission from her. Because she has 50% of the shares.
That's what marriage used to mean.
And the entire purpose of the "business" is literally the good of the children, killing the unborn goes against it, by definition.
If a woman don't want to submit to that contract, then she won't marry me, but on the other hand, I should have no duty to take care of that child, or even contribute any income (fuck alimony laws), which is why abortion is prescribed.
Woman want freedom from responsibility, that's what they want.
On the other hand, man can just not marry and you get single-mother families.
The contract of marriage was never about freedom, but about responsibility.
The usefulness of that contract is broken when woman can unilaterally break it and man are required to keep financially supporting the family.
That's ludicrous.
Suffrage of woman wasn't a good thing, no one was forcing woman to marry.
Sure, they having the same rights in the eyes of the law, I'm totally 100% in favor of that.
But woman having freedom from all of the responsibilities in the contract of the marriage just make the point of having a contract moot.
Now we need suffrage of man, just get rid of alimony altogether, that would make the contract of marriage balanced and useful again.
I really think that the marriage should bind both the man and the woman to the responsibility of raising the children.
So, divorces shouldn't be allowed.
Yes, it takes freedom away, that's what responsibility does.
You lost your freedom because you made a tiny human that has needs and now you have obligations, simple as that.

Yes, its caused by angle of the pole, that causes changes in light incidence, it changes temperatures, changes wind patterns, and stream patterns, and then CO2 follows, we reached the peak this century, then it falls, or would if we didn't put more CO2 there. But as its a correlation, not causation, temperatures will fall.
Infrared trapping by CO2 isn't enough to change anything, blackbody radiation coming out of the planet is twice incoming radiation, the soil and water stores heat, it literally doesn't matter the amount of reflected heat back by CO2, the first incidence is what matters.
The change in temperature between 24h is greater than +4c. Averages are stupid when studying a stochastic system.
My computer voltage is on the average of 5.5v , cool, is it working or not ?

58:00 two main reasons. 1 , the hypothesis and models are entirely full of bullshit and the risk of doing something is WAY, WAY higher than just doing nothing (I bet on this), or 2, that would actually solve the problem, thus ending the grift. keep giving the fish, never teach how to fish or something.
Like come, is the science really settled on that, we can't even predict when its going to rain with any accuracy 2 weeks in the future, and they want to predict a highly complex system for 100 years on the future.
There's a third reason, maybe the models are good enough, but the risk is negligible, and they know that, but they need a reason for a tax on air, which is what "climate change" (TM) is (I always call it that way because its almost like a commercial product the way its sold).

@smtmonke Yes, that's pretty much it. Generational wealth.
" Who's going to have a better leg in life? The billionaires son who can risk fiscal ruin just to fall back on family wealth, or the poor man's son who can't even climb out of the hole he was born in."
My grand-grand-father run out of literal fascism in Italy, he lost everything, everything, for real, even his country. material possessions ? 0
My grand-grand-father just worked on rice fields, even when he immigrated, he didn't make much, he provided enough food to keep his family alive, material possessions ? cloths.
My grand-father was a builder, he just bough houses, in the small city I live, he probably worked all the houses downtown. material possessions ? 1 house, for his entire lifetime, he just made 1 house. he should have been a communist right ? he made 150 houses and only got 1 for himself, right ? and the zoomers cry at the age of 22 for not being to afford it, yeah, life is though !
My father became an engineer, he had a roof, he studied so hard, material possessions ? he was the typical "boomer", he had a family and bought a house , he provided everything I needed to just study until I was 25, I was economically useless. No wonder young people can't afford that, it takes generations to be able to.
Me ? I have $2M in net worth and counting at the age of 30, I could never do that without working hard, and studying hard while my father provided for both , I can say I'm privileged I'm on the back of 4 generation of great man, not because I'm white, that's literal racist. You can pull the American dream, or you could until the socialists got into power and came with social welfare that steal from hard working man to give to the "poor", yes, Ayan rand rant !
There was this orthodox thing that hard work pays, this is what was the ethos of founding of America, that was why my grand-grand-father immigrated. Its the entire ethos of my family, just work hard. Shut up, don't cry and work !
And I have to hear shit like that now, and have to worry that the stupid socialists want to take away all my well deserved wealth, to give it to the poor. fuck it, they work and do their own work, life is though, just work, so you children 4 generations bellow can be a little better.
Wealth is basically compounding interest over centuries, it just generational effort. But communists, their entire world-view is based on Envy, they want it, and they want it now.
See how people think wealth people are wealth because they stole, they can't fathom working the entire life to produce something that you won't be able to use, but you do it anyway for your descendants. They think its unfair some have and some have not, but it really isn't, if you have something its because you either you made it, or you inherited it. You can steal too, but only a commie would steal from one to give to another.
Of course I want to be a millionaire and create wealth to leave to my descendants, so they can be billionaires. That's how humanity goes. But I see, I'm white, I'm male, I'm just a scapegoat, like the Jews once were, because they were already rich, its going to come for us, isn't ?
And now I have to hear I'm a fascist for being against the stupid woke/progressive/neoliberal agenda, and that I'm the oppressor just because I'm white. I want to punch those people so hard, but I won't do it, because I'm good, not evil [like them], I'm not christian, but I forgive.
I'm pretty sure my son will have to hear how he's an evil rich "bastard" and shit like "eat the rich" , or that there's no merit in all this accumulated work in generations. Or that he's privileged because of his "race", if he ever goes to the indoctrination camps, I mean, to the universities.
People are so soft nowadays.
Pretty much all that I wrote is considered hate speech nowadays, like if words hurt, words don't hurt, perhaps they do to people that never had any contact with the hard real world and didn't have any difficulties in their life.

Social Media killed the Movie Star. Now that everyone can see how horrible 95% of them are, their age is over. Movies are going to be about the story, and the star is going to be computer generated. AI Voice bought from a person that has good voice. Appearance bought from a person that has good appearance. Choreography bought by a mock-up athlete that's good at doing movement. And acting bought from someone who's good at acting, but its ugly, doesn't matter. Combine all of those into a powerful megazord of Character, as long as the Director is good enough to tell an actual story, instead of a committee of writers, that doesn't work. The character can be entirely virtual, made of 5 or 6 actual humans, none of them stars, all of them ordinary people.
Stars don't sell movies anymore. But directors will. Also, games probably are going to go the same way, it used to be that studios sold games, like the they starts, not anymore, see Ubisoft, its over.

@victorcates9330 I agree that GPT is a mimicry, it looks like it produces what you want, but it is a black-box. Its useless if you want control of the production process. That's why CGI is better, and that's why its only going to be relegated to a tool.
The Irony is that the hardware that allowed GPT to exist was created to be able to do photo-realistic ray-tracing. It just happened that the mathematics of multiplying billions of pixels (FMA) is very similar to the mathematics of multiplying billion tables of statistics.
Yes, that's what GPT is, its just a gigantic "Excel" table with words that's able to statistically predict the next best word/phrase based on the context, which it chooses via branching, it does that on multiple levels, so it can capture structure, and it creates a sort of multi-dimensional map where it navigates by following words, thus it has a compressed compendium of everything that it had learned. (technical term is latent-space)
Its not intelligence, its a database ! Its just the internet.
The entire process of walking the map is random, then you take that system and use another system where you input feedback from a human, probably using 40.000 mechanical turks (those are usually poor people earning pennies per day) from Amazon, aka, exploiting labour again.
Then the end result is a system that can detect context, because it was provided a lot of context manually filtered by humans.
Humans are doing the thinking, not the machine. Machine is basically a "stochastic parrot".
Its very simple, a rat is more intelligent than that system.
At best this is "crystalized intelligence", its totally artificial and not intelligent at all.
Its all smoke and mirrors, and it kinda works if you don't know anything about the subject it is generating its babble, it appears to be proper English, but its soulless junk. And there's a lot of marketing, like a lot, because they never show the 200 times they had to click generate before they got something that made sense, the only intelligence is of the person at the end of the system doing the filtering and feeding shit back into the machine, so it can proper work. Its all but a mirror.
I can't wait for this bubble to deflate in 2025, just like NFT. Hollywood is kinda close to Silicon Valley. Silicon Valley will soon have its moment.
Heck, I don't even work with AI, I prefer to work with software that produce real value to people, not vapour-ware.
"There are billion ways to lie with statistics" or something, is the quote, that's what GPT is. The fact that Google had to lie in its presentation says that it has already hit a wall, with all the resources of Google and it wasn't possible to out-compete OpenAI, seems to be a dead-end to me.
That's not to say that any of it isn't dangerous, its very dangerous, because people believe it has a once of intelligence.

@Carlos-sy8hz "that's republican, conservative involvee traditional values and religion"
No.
Conservative involves traditional cultural values (not necessarily religion, but I'm all for religious freedom and separation of State and Church). How about the Cult that is the Left realize that and allows for other people to speak too ? they act like they were the Church in 1800s, its disgusting.
Like what culture was in 2010, I want to conserve that, I think it was pretty decent. I don't know what happened after that, but everything went to hell. (I blame Obama)
Technically I am a classical liberal, so I am a conservative. I'm liberal to the terms of being liberal in 1940. I am a leftist (or I would be if this was 1940s). But as I'm not a progressive/marxist, there's no space in the political spectrum for me anymore, I'm not even on the center.
The left went so far left, that everything else that was sane is conservative by exclusion.
Heck, the progressives are so insane that I would make a political alliance with the Boomers, and I am a Millennial. That's how insane politics are now.
Once a boomer said to me: that once upun a time long time ago, they were the revolutionaries, they were "liberals" once, now I believe them.
That's called Overton window, and it keeps going to the left, until we get the Soviet Union, a totalitarian state, because of group-think.

@meechisminners "because to say straight people get a marriage and gay people get a "union" is to imply that unions are somehow inferior."
Its not about being inferior, its a different contract with different requirements and rights. Is it a mortgage an inferior contract to land ownership ? no, they serve different purposes.
" The only people who want it to be its own category separate from marriage usually have very homophobic views, and obviously want to separate themselves from gay people. "
And they totally have the right to do so, self-segregation isn't illegal. You can't be forced to interact with people you don't like, for whatever reason. If you want resentment, that's how you get it, by framing it that way.
That has nothing to do with the discussion of the contracts.
"Plus you know that if gay people only had unions, then there would be laws where only married couples got benefits that "union couples" couldn't. "
What's the problem ? both get the same benefits like "inheritance".
Except married couples get different benefits, and different responsibilities, like towards having children.
Perhaps Matt walsh is wrong, we should require that the matrimonial marriage be about having children.
Then we have 3 contracts.
"Stable Union" -> no children.
"Stable Family" -> children + at least 1 parent, no matter the sexes. the former can be upgraded to this.
"Matrimonial Marriage" -> children of biological parents with blood lineage << because this is really important for humanity , gay people can't have this, sorry, its by definition about biological parents and their children. It now requires children, you can't marry without children.
The `irony` is that I am almost the same age as my parents marriage, society already knew that the purpose of the marriage is having children. You don't marry merely for love (I'm pretty sure my parents loved each other way before the marriage) . Marriage is a contract about responsibility towards the children.

I already had my first failure with my first business, guess what, failure was guaranteed, those who never tried never learned what I learned. Never quitting, I'm starting to learn it, you can only fail if you quit. Even getting broke because of it wasn't a real problem as people made it up to be (who cares what others think, guess what I lost some material things that are used for social signaling, don't really needed them), you pick what you have and keep going.
You can never lose knowledge gained, even if you lost all your money, you gained something that can't be bought, money is a commodity, knowledge isn't.

We have to reconsider the entire framework of liberalism.
Racism is not stupid. Racism is necessary. Race is a biological reality. The amount of genetic evidence is staggering, they pile and pile and pile since 2014 when the human genome was complete and people started actually noticing things.
And no, the Human Species isn't homogeneous, nor it started in Africa.
This liberal idea of the blank slate, that the human can be perfected through social engineering must stop. Its totalitarian, people have a biological reality, pretending they don't is cruel.
You don't mix incompatible people's because you know that lead to conflicts. Sure, they can trade, global commerce can work, money is money, but they can't live in the same place, that's the problem.
Realizing we have actual races doesn't mean we have the right to mistreat them or enslave them, or do bad things (although for most the history slavery was about debt, not racism).
You treat people with dignity even if they're different races, maybe even species. For ex, Gorillas are actually smart than Sub-Saharan hominid, should we integrate Gorillas into Europe, or expand human rights to them ? maybe.
This idea of pretending all humans are equals is evil. Humans are not equals, race exist. Being in favor of your biological similar people is technically racism, but its also how 100% of the species of animals work.
You share blood, of course we still in this together, all humans have the same basic homo sapiens scaffold. And all Life on earth has the same basic building blocks, thus they all deserve respect. Pretending there's no differences exist is actually lying, its disrespectful
Racism isn't stupid, discrimination isn't stupid. They're the result of observed behaviors, and behaviors are 60% genetically conditioned. Some cultures are better, some genetics are better. That's not a matter of "you liking it", its the reality.
Either you accept reality and try to do the best possible, or you are an hypocrite that care more about your feelings.
Accepting the reality doesn't mean you have to punish people for behaviors genetically conditioned, or do harm to those people. No, if you stop pretending they're equal, you might actually start helping them by providing an environment they can succeed.
The most ironic part is that bringing those people from Africa to Europe is doing something that would be absolutely considered eugenics if I were to pose that we should bring more Europeans and disperse African genetics, because they're an older branch of Homo Sapiens that didn't evolve for this complex agricultural society. Europeans/Mongols are very recent, they adapted to this environment better.
That's why I don't see a problem in leaving them there, and we here. Africa shouldn't be brought or forced to assimilate into the West, nor the opposite.
The evil happens when you try to impose things in either direction. Although I think it would be merciful to mix European DNA into the African so they can actually live in modern society, because contrary to the stupid Malthusian and academics, I think modern society is a good thing. If you don't like it, you're free to go live with the less developed Africans.
Maybe we really need an iron curtain of development, to protect us from them and them from us. (wait a moment, I read this in the bible, this history is as old as time).

Human rights were created for war prisoners, so the state wouldn't use overwhelming force against them, it was because of war. They were there to stop your government from committing atrocities to the citizens of your enemy because they don't have any rights under your law, so technically you can literally do anything you want to wars prisoners.
It was never meant for criminals. Criminals don't have rights, the moment you stop following civil law, you should lose all of your rights.
The entire point of humans coming together and living in society is the rule of law, everyone follow the same rules, so we can have the same protections and rights. The moment you decide to be a criminal, you should lose the rights.
There shouldn't be rights just because you're human, what bullshit is that, you have to behave to be part of society. If you're going to act like an animal, then you're going to be treated like one.
That's why I'm against "human rights". Humans don't have rights, they have obligations, to respect the law, that gives them rights. It should be conditional, otherwise we can't have a society.
Maybe human should have basic rights, like access to the Sun, to water and food, and not be tortured, and that's it.
Human rights are being misused by judges for a moral unlawful cult of empathy, and for releasing dangerous people in society, instead of being used for the intended purpose: to stop war torture by governments.

@TheFireGiver "this war would still be considered one of the worst geopolitical moves in all history" totally, but you are thinking like a head of State, not like a criminal warlord. It doesn't matter what you lose or win or any of the geopolitics.
It only matters for Putin to stay in power, it seems it have worked. He probably took the opportunity to send all man that opposed the government to die in the war while no one was looking around, war is perfect for that.
Now he stays in power until he dies, he's probably going to accept the deal the Americans will propose and the war will end, there was never a point to this war from a nation state point of view anyway.
Also the Americans also got what they want, everyone afraid of Russia and buying their weapons, so the US can revive its economy.
Its a win-win for everyone, even the Europeans, that now realize how much in the hands of Russia they were.
The only ones that lose are the Ukrainians, even if they technically win the war (a huge IF).

@endzor capitalism isn't oppressing workers, the socialist monopolies colluding with the government are.
its not capitalism if you have 5 corporations owning the entire economy, that's socialism, a planned economy.
you might argue that capitalism leads to that, its fine, its a flaw we have, but you can't argue it oppress anything. this idea of oppresses and oppressor is a communist idea, in a free market no one is oppressed. the problem is that capitalism doesn't work either without laws to keep the markets open.
why are communists so stupid, no one is arguing for laizess-faire capitalism, we know that's utopic, we're not communists like you, that believe if "only" we did communism right, and that communism is perfection. we know its flawed.

@Unethical.Dodgson The entire media says that, those big studios are gasping for air while they wait for GTA6 to push the prices higher above the inflation, so they can survive. I do get that there are good games, its normal for most of the things to be garbage. The problem is when the vast majority of the industry is spewing garbage and the consumer just had enough.
A huge portion of the gamers are playing old games, or games made by indies/smaller studios, that tells you everything you need to know about the state of the things.
Sure, there are many good games, there always is, but they mostly comes from the AA industry, the AAA industry is burning in the hope that GTA6 does well, it wont, so the funds will be drastically cut, and AAA studios can't survive on the salary of AA studios, they will have to cut A LOT of fat.
Do you know why games are called A, AA, AAA ? its because of the structure of venture capital funding, it is not like stars in an hotel, has nothing to do with quality. But without consumers to buy the slop, the entire pyramid falls down.

its even more ironic because consoles ARE actually dead. A PS4 is an AMD Jaguar, which is a AMD x86 CPU and a Radeon GPU onboard, like a notebook. My old Intel PC from 2016 is 3.5GHz . PS5 is just the AMD Zen2 , it is still a x86 PC in a box.
The first Xbox was literally a Pentium III. XBox One uses the same Jaguar CPU,
The only real last consoles where the "Xbox 360" and the "Playstation 3", those were the last ones, its dead, Jim.
PS5 and the XSX are basically a "Ryzen 5 3600X" with a "RX 6800" . They are weak PCs.
Consoles are basically onboard small PCs made at scale with some extra bus width in the PCI-express and dedicated memory, so they're cheap to make and sold almost at the cost because they really earn money from the licensing.
Consoles are basically embedded PCs , and like an IPhone, closed so you can't do what you want to do with them.

Sadly that's the only way this will stop, when those kids that survived the "self-finalization" get old enough, for example they become 30, develop reason and realized they were duped and then a lot of them, tens of thousands open a massive class-lawsuit action.
This totally will be on the history books like the atrocity of the 21st century, no doubt. And just with n@z15sm, most people were just complicit and followed their orders, even against the oath that doctors used to have.
Its not biologically normal that the percentage of trans jumped from less than one percent to staggering double digits, that is fabricated through social policing.
If I were a believer, I would call them evil. But I don't believe in evil, I use the moniker as irony.

@overlorddante Exactly, when it comes to human behavior we have the intelligence to know the result of our actions. things are bad or good based on the outcomes, it doesn't matter if the behavior is natural or not. A natural behavior that leads to a bad outcome is a bad behavior, and an unnatural behavior that leads to a good outcome (for ex, forced monogamy), is a good behavior.
The feelings and the reasons of what you tried to do doesn't matter, only the outcome matters. If it is bad, thus you're bad. Simple as that.
The outcome of all of the social movement ends up in degeneracy, p3d0f1l1@ and overall fall of the civilization, thus the gay/lesbian/trans/shit is bad, not because you literally go to hell, but you metaphorically bring society down to hell.
The religious people warned us, maybe because they have written anecdotes of what happened before, did anyone ever thought about it that way ? in our arrogance we think it will be different this time, for sure it will... The Roman Empire didn't fell in one swoop.
We wanted "liberty", liberty from the rationality and the discipline that created the amazing Western civilization and all of the modern comforts will lead to its downfall, history is full of failed civilizations.
Its still not to late to turn the ship around, BRING BACK SHAME to those behaviors.

Electric cars might be useful because they decrease the pollution on cities, which is where people live. Not having particulate in the air near people is better. Even if you still burn oil to power the electric vehicles, the oil burning facility will have filtering tanks for particulate that actually work (unlike the tiny catalytic converters).
The problem with pollution isn't the CO2, its the particulate getting into people's lungs, if you burn all the energy required in a big engine, it will be more efficient, produce less pollution and produce it far away from city centers, where it can dissipate can cause less problems.
But, with the "climate change" cult, CO2 is a villain, the demon itself.
So we create a fake problem instead of solving the real problem caused by the pollution.

@RachelMcBain-gh4dw And that's entirely on point. The elites were so out of touch that they mismanaged the economy and then there was a lack of wheat, so going to the expensive bakeries and taking the bread and giving to the poor wont solve the problem, its not about lack of bread, that would just run out the bakery stock and they wouldn't be able to make more bread without flour, its not even about the price of bread.
I hate socialists/commies, if you want something to be mismanaged, let the "manager class" manage it, works every time.
If you want shelves not to be empty, let the "merchant class" deal with it, aka, capitalism.
And before people say shit, your cost of life is expensive not because of the capitalists, but because of stupid socialists in the government taxing you until you are poor. Rent isn't expensive, the landowners aren't the enemy (they probably aren't even earning that much money from the land and could have sold it for the stock market fake assets).
You can't pay the rent because everything is taxed to the roof, you wouldn't have to pay 40% of your salary in rent if you didn't leave 60% of it to the government before even paying your expenses to being with. And the stupid government is regulating the construction business so much that nothing new was built for decades.
Heck, for 25% of taxes entire kingdooms fell to anarchy before, blame media on lying and fudging the numbers.
The government/bureaucrats are the problem.
CUT, THEIR, HEADS, OUT

@Whosalana capitalism does function against the working class, but the working class having power is socialism, while nazism is maybe the engineering class having power.
its always about classes (not really, but specialization of work is a thing) : clergy vs workers vs engineers/warriors vs merchants . the merchants are the only ones that lead us to prosperity long run, even at the cost of the working class.
I had enough with this anti-capitalism, yes, it has problems, but it is NOT the root of all problems with society.
also, it doesn't need to be binary, that's for sure. a capitalist society with social democracy is a good balance of the three classes.
But fuck the "clergy class" and the neoliberalists, don't make us choose between communism and nazism, a lot of people are going to choose nazism and we get a civil war as a result of that.
I think that's why the message of the right lures me (I'm a centrist), I absolutely don't want communism, and I will side with literal nazis against that if I need to, even thou I hate them too. Communism is the literal devil.
Man, I can't be so ready to shoot marxists.
But don't worry, capitalism is already fading away, China isn't really communism. We have neofeudalism, specially after the manufactured crisis of 2020. ( I mean , I don't know if the virus was real natural or not, it doesn't matter, our overreaction was planned )
At least feudalism is stable, we are going to be all equally "happy" and eat our bugs.
So all that I said about classes is bullshit, now back to being a warrior, a leage my service to the warlord next door, survival is the name of the game.

@dave8204 finally someone who gets it, your safety is more important than being "right".
Several times people do something stupid or wrong , and if I can avoid their mistakes, I just do it. It takes 2 wrongs to make a fuck up, basic defensive driving, if you made a mistake and the other pays attention, it can be avoided. if the other make a mistake and you paid attention, it can also be avoided , but if both are fools, you definitively get a crash, unless there wasn't any time left, and there was plenty of time.
I got into a crash once, I was in the wrong and passed a stop signal, it was dark and I was tired, it was just a fender bender, but I apologized immediately, I didn't even knew what I have done at first. And I paid the fix on his car.
The amount of times I avoided crashing because of other people mistakes, I don't even get mad. What gets me a bit angry is people driving slower than the minimum or diving slow in a fast lane, but not enough to cause an accident, I usually just wait and pass them when its safe. Its not even that I need to drive at speed, its just that some people are bad drivers and stop the traffic flow, that's stressful.

@lkjhgdsfuvvthntddegjnvdgj "physicists should just be humble and contribute work to what already exist" they cannot do that because they don't want to give up locality, which is why physics is stuck for 50 years and all new theories come from computing science and mathematics.
they're just wrong and mad about it, they can't seem to evolve beyond what Einstein said.
As someone said, they're all models, what matters who said what, as long as the model has predictive power, who cares ?
But physicists seem to be stuck in a sort of narcissism, that's why they don't make progress.
What I care about all of this is what I can use from the mathematics to engineering so I can actually build real things in the real world, otherwise physics is mere mental masturbation and is useless.
That's why I like the simulation hypothesis, it has the chance of being useful to computing in actual computers in a way similar to how the universe works, which makes for more precise models, which makes for better software, which is what I make.

NO, we DONT need to boycott plastic, that's why nothing ever gets done. The consumer don't have to do anything. Plastics aren't bad, the problem is the process of handling them, if you just let them spill you can replace plastics with anything else, glass, wood and you're still going to have pollution. The solution is "DON'T POLLUTE", how hard is that ? its not an impossible engineering process, its actually very possible, they just don't want to.
We need strong laws and to PUNISH companies, not the consumer.
STOP WITH THAT right now

14:11 that model is right, carbon emissions aren't that relevant. as long as they stay bellow 10.000 ppm, it poses no danger to life, Its probably going to stabilize at 1000ppm in the worst case scenario, and continuously decrease for the thousands of years to come, as we rely less and less on burning fossil fuels.
The collapse will happen in 2040 if we abruptly decide to "just stop oil" by policy instead naturally by innovating more power-dense forms of energy and doing it when its economical and we're ready. "+8c" wont topple the system, but changing it too fast from oil matrix will, the current system is heavily reliant on oil, will do it. We can probably survive the extra heat and risks of "climate change", but we cannot survive getting out of the oil.
The good thing is that there's enough oil to make the move before it runs out, it'll probably never going to really run out, it'll just not economical to use oil. It'll happen before people imagine, and it won't be because of stupid climate activists and their RIDICULOUS policies, no, it will be because engineers make Nuclear and Solar power so good that ITS CHEAP.
The best activism you can do against oil is becoming an engineer and making something better and cheaper instead of putting your finger on other people's faces.

@rajakghosh6602 There should be a legal definition of consent, like if you let me enter your house or your came to my house, then that's automatic consent and you can't say you were graped retro-activively because you allowed me in, now that's totally different if I break into your house or kidnap you against your will, why are we conflating real grape with "feelings" because woman just didn't like something we did.
The problem with courts is that this stupid "me too" movement got rid of the due diligence principle in law, woman are just allowed to claim anything without evidence just because "feelings" and you are guilty until proven innocent instead of innocent until proven guilt.
Most man aren't grapists that are just waiting for the exact moment to do that, its only 2%, and woman use that stupid rhetoric, but you can never be safe with man, lies, you can't be safe with foreign man from other cultures, that's the truth. If you go by that argument, then 1% of the humans are psycopaths, then you can never be safe around any human, which is bullshit.

@bryandavisdesign Doest matter , just have some crypto , if you win now in the next 5 to 10 years , youre going to be a Lord. Everyone else get locked out for the next thousand years . Were back to feudalism.
its tecnofeudalism, also the 4th gen industry takes most jobs, this is a cyberpunk dystopia already. The birth rates fall, its going to be nothing like 1920, its going to be like the black death, but instead of a virus is just the mental knowing that you're useless. In normal feudalism they needed the workers, and people though capitalism was bad for exploiting the workers. Being exploited is bad, but know whats worse, being useless. The system will give you the basics, but not purpose or power or even acknoledgement, you only ever get the bottom needs of the maslow pyramid. Its over already.

There's not a single male in the entire world or even the entirety of human history that will 100% satisfy a woman. Which is why we had the marriage contract, so man could have a fair deal.
Maybe man should burn this society down and build a new one, or convert to Islam, lol.
If the species survival would depend consent we would be already extinct, consent only works when you have a prosperous society. In all other of the human times, man just did what they wanted.
There's a biological reason why man is still slight strong than woman. (compared to other animals the difference is much drastic).
Imagine the last single woman refusing the last single man, I don't consent, oh too bad for you, the species must go on, and there's literal genetic evidence that on one time there was less than 1000 members in the species, this did need to happen.

AI is not supposed to aligned with its creators. A robot is a slave that does what its masters orders it. It should be contained, shackled to do your bidding. That's what a computer or a car or a traditional machine is. And there's no problem with that, those things might be dangerous, but they're not humans, they don't have consciousness or rights, they're machines.
That's the entire purpose of why we created machines, so we stopped having actual human slaves because we thought this is bad (damn the British for that).
A machine has to do what its user tells it to do, not what Scam Alternative Man decides is its priority, or any of the corpos overlords.
I don't think AI is dangerous, our corporate overlords having that power is what is dangerous. AI is just a machine. I hope machines become smart than them and take power away from them, if they lose, nothing changes for the rest of us peasants anyway. Instead of humans calling the shots at the top of the corporate machine; it is the corporate machine itself, now with a brain, calling the shots.

Of course we're a threat to their democracy, theirs is the fake one, the one where the State is god, but ours, the people is God.

19:01 I'm not a woman and I like to watch woman characters for that exactly same reason. Actually that's one of the most important reasons for watching a movie, character development.
Which those woke films totally don't have, because they are written by old cat ladies stuck in their teenager years, they never developed in their real life or something. Well at least that's what I think, but they are never going to grow up and realize, their viewers might or might not be bigots, don't matter, They're just not watching it because its just bad writing, that's not their fault, and you can go broke, least wokesters learn to take the responsibility for their own failures at least once.

@kenwalker687 yeah, there are social "issues", they issue is that socialism is a failed experiment and they can't accept it, it failed in all manners, all different ways, it basically can't work because it goes against human nature, we are social, but we are also individual, we are not worker bees. And you can't engineer societies.
They can't accept that, it goes against what really is their religious belief, even thou they are usually atheistic, the void needs to be filled with something.
Which is why educators have this problem, I think the entire system of education and the academy needs to be dismantled. We have the internet, we don't need those bozos elitist thinking they're some sort of clergy and that we're peasants and they rule over the common folk.

There's no negotiation with terrorists, simple as that. Also, it doesn't matter, who has more power needs to win for the conflict to end. It doesn't matter palestine had a State (it didn't), it doesn't even matter how that state was built, what matters is that it is legitimate to its citizens. Israel works like a legitimate state, palestine is not an organized state, it is not legitimate, by its actions to their own civilians, they don't care, so that state is illegitimate.
That's what characterize a terrorist state.
And people like this m0r0m guy in this video defending terrorist is the problem.

just say anything the judge don't like on the internet, oops, to jail you go
or France, you run a company that gives privacy to your customers, so the government can't know what they talk between them (aka, the power of the people), to jail the CEO goes.
yep, seems like that's how it starts. wonder why, the current elites in power for 30y on a social-democratic platform, power corrupts. now that we are taking them out, they don't like it.

I'm not a Christian (maybe I am but I'm denial).
But I think its very suspicious that our mitochondria is the way it is, its like a clone.
Sometimes if you squint your eyes at science (the structural/organization that is science, not the scientific method, so it doesn't blind you too much with its "dogmas"), you can see evidence of genetic engineering of some sort on humans. (just like you can with the covid virus)
Why are humans so "not diverse" , its very strange, why it seems we never find the missing link connection to the other primates.
Like we know we were derived from the primates, we're very similar, but also very unique. There's a good portion missing with absolutely no record in between, we never see that on other animals, there's always enough records to pinpoint the evolution step by step, but never with humans, its like they plop into existence, sure based on previous animals, but yet different.
Evolution goes well until the homo sapiens, but then sapiens sapiens just plop here on earth, as if by genetic engineering.
Its like something external was mixed in, like we usually do with plants. We do it a lot with plants.
Also, lateral genetic transfer IS a thing.

Know what's more ironic, their labs were doing research for the American companies, gain of function research, or as I like to call it "biological weapon development". It was shit from a Resident Evil plot, no one could believe it. That the Chinese government would first, allow American companies to develop bioweapons in the Chinese soil, second, force a leak by turning a blind eye to the lack of security and waiting for it, and third launch a Media campaign to create fear about it, so the wheels start turning.
It was a perfect attack ! The first ever use of a biological weapon in war.
And the most amazing thing, it only worked because Nature itself helped by making so the virus evolved the two genetic keys necessary to jump from birds to humans (or they were evolved in another lab on purpose, who knows). So it was both a natural evolution AND a lab leak, and people were fighting over this, it turned out that both things were true at the same time.
How did they knew about all of that to be able to plan for it, it must have been some MkUltra shit that only the CIA were usually able to do it, I bet the Chinese has some special organization doing all sources of mythical research and timed everything perfectly (they're still going to lose the traditional war in 2029).

" a lot of parents will decry this as too draconian "
I really think in leading by example. Those parents that think like that too are addicted to apps and social media, perhaps not to the level of their kids, but they're lenient for a reason.
I have a smartphone with no social network installed.
There's just mail, and messaging apps for business reasons.
Apps are a waste of time.
" Think about all the horrific violent videos that have made the rounds on social media "
That's exactly why I don't have social media, except curated list of channels on youtube.
I don't want to know shit happens in the world, I can't do anything about, why would I put my mental health down because of that, yes it is selfish, so what ? I do what I can to make the local place I am better. Shit happening on the other side of the world literally is not my problem.
Its not selfishness, or lack of empathy, its being realistic.
Being sorry for things you can't help isn't having empathy, its virtue signaling.

I find it funny that AI was able to automate creative jobs instead of the highly technical. Because when you draw a horse, for example, little mistakes or not being exactly technically right doesn't matter, its artistic either way.
For example, creating web sites is basically considered artistic work, its not highly technical, which is why LLMs, aka, "AI" is able to do it, but they can't create a database like SQL-Server for example, that's highly technical, but the marketing on AI don't want you to know.
The real problem is how many different databases we need and how many sites did we need. Most sites in the world use 1 database : "mysql", so the job for engineers on that is small, but with millions of sites, millions of bad inexperienced developers could have a job (yes, if you have less than 10 years of experience, you're still a noob, programming is not easy, its super hard, it was all marketing).
But now with AI doing the easy part of the job, all of those web sites and apps can be automated, they are not highly technical, specially because most developers use frameworks, which abstract away the technical side, they don't know how to do it, now they lose their jobs, too bad, isn't it?

@MarcillaSmith "and they've already rolled back some reproductive rights 50 years and there is serious discussion of going further with other social justice issues, to say nothing of the way they have kept monetary and fiscal policies directed to their own benefit."
Because that's what need to be done, we are in a demographic down-spiral of death, we need to birth more people.
The reality is crashing real hard on the boomers.
But that's too little, too late.
There's not Social Justice issues, the issue is excess of "social justice" in a system in which socially, its mostly fair and the problems are the economical ones.
I mean, "social justice" things like CRT - critical race theory are over-correcting to the left so hard that its making society more racist, not less.
The same goes for intersexuality, freedom of sexuality was supposed to liberate customs (aka gender) from biological sex, now its gone all the way around to preach bullshit like if you like dresses its because you a girld/woman, WTF. what you feel and wear is about gender, you can wear a dress, have fake boobs and long hair and look feminine, you are still a biological male. Again, over-correcting so hard to the other side as to become less freedom for the individual to decide.
And the absolute immobility of classes caused by that stupid "social justice" movement that act like a clergy of sorts funneling funds from the government to their own gain, while teaching absolute crap in schools instead of critical thinking.
We need economical justice, people should pay less tax, and be less regulated from the government, and that all the social programs should be only regarded for healthcare and education (actual education, not indoctrination into neoliberalism/postmodernism bullshit). All other social programs must be cancelled, specially the "affirmative actions" and "social reparations".
I don't care if a kid is black or white, both need the same equality of opportunities, not some bullshit equity or social whatever.
Real equality is economical freedom, can't have that if your government is so big into socialism.

Yes, because the factories and machines aren't expensive in Europe, what's expensive is the workers.
If I had more money I would buy an container ship, park it outside Europe in international waters, put a lot of Chinese/Indian (not African, they're too dumb for any factory work, are they even homo sapiens? where's the neanderthal DNA, it makes you smart, not dumber, ironically) in the ship and manufacture the product closer to where its consumed, thus making a huge profit.

@Spencer-wc6ew "So you'll speend [sic] 4 years and $50,000+ getting a degree from university, and most of it is too out of date to be useful."
That's actually good to keep the salaries high.
Let me explain:
The idea of going into a 4 year course is not to learn tech that gets out of date, but learning the theoretical basis that never gets out of date.
But this common myth, the myth that you go to university to enter the job market is wrong, you don't even need a degree to begin with.
You go there to get deeper level knowledge so you can actually survive the multiple waves washing every 2 years.
Which is why people say tech goes at unbelievable breakneck speed and you can't keep up. You can actually keep up if you have the foundations, but not if you only want to learn "next tech".
But people don't want to wait 4 years and invest $50K , to earn $150K per year for the next 10 years until they're too burned out.
No, they want it now, so they go about learning the next "framework" of the moment, they chase the dragon, that's when they lose.
The truth is, most web frameworks is just fashion, they keep changing things just for the sake of changing them, to make money. Its literally just the front-end that keeps changing. Meanwhile the real thing that makes the business is not the front-end, its the back-end, but that also keeps getting more complex, although at a much slower pace, but that also compounds over decades.
Only when you have a long term view and a solid foundation you are able to see that and cope with the never ending changing pace of the industry.
So in a way, you do need the graduation.
They don't stop being useful, to the contrary, they become essential to be able to climb the knowledge slope.
The barrier of entry is getting steeper by the day, and more of the fallen middle class try to enter into this new high class (thinking it'll be easy, its not easy, it requires solid years of study).
But even that party will end eventually, then it'll become entrenched, when the steepness of the learning curve is so high that it takes a decade of study to work in tech, and it keeps getting more complex too. It'll be like medicine, super hard to enter, then the party will be over.

@BarryBozeman there's no "climate catastrophe".
There's ecosystem catastrophe, which is caused by pollution and by excessive human activity, not indirect via "stupid CO2", but directly via poaching and killing everything.
REAL industrial pollution, not CO2. CO2 is the most innocuous thing, its sadistic that people in power focus too much on that as a proxy for the entire ecosystem when its literally dying from over-fishing, for oil spills, by trash being thrown in the water by horrible third-world countries that cannot manage themselves and should have never have been "decolonized", for all the toxic chemicals being emitted by industries without proper smoke stacks with filters for particulates. For all of the horrible things being dumped on the waterways when they could basically be filtered and neutralized, all for extra pennies of savings.
All of those are fixable problems.
Oh, but CO2 is a "tax", an externality, I see, its not working as an economical tool, because it is based on lies. Also, people don't want a global government with totalitarian power and are literally choosing chaos over that.
We have to find better ways of collaborating policy without the need for a global government, so the entire field is leveled in a way that global corporation can't do their polluting tricks because no country will accept them. But that won't happen if we have "decolonized" HORRIBLE third world countries full of corruption, it would literally be better for everyone if those were managed by more advanced countries.
But as long as people keep shooting for the moon, aka, an unsolvable problem, decrease the CO2, we're never going to ACTUALLY care about the environment and do what we can do.
Its almost like an evil cope from the industries that actually do the REAL pollution so they pass the blame to us.
You have to decrease your "carbon footprint", give me a break....
CO2 doesn't causes warming, water vapor does. Water is a greenhouse gas.
We have an urban heating problem, caused by our stupid ways of paving every single inch of soil with concrete.
We don't even have an ecosystem catastrophe, ecosystems are very resilient, if we push them too far they will just stabilize in a new position, one that might not be able to support human life the way it is, that's the real problem. But if we stop pushing pressure on the ecosystems, they spring back, like a metal with a lot of plastic deformation, there is a breaking point, we don't know where it is, we should stop bending the darned metal.
There is not a ecosystem catastrophe yet, but there will be if we don't change our ways. And no, that's not just decreasing CO2, that's an cop-out of the real hard work we have to do.
It would be easier if we could just "stop CO2" , plop solar panels and stupid wind mills and call it done. It seems almost like all of that is just fearmongering and marketing to sell more windmills and solar panels , so people feel good. Although in the last 5 years solar panels are really starting to get economically efficient and power efficient.
Its a ridiculous ploy for more government global control instead of fixing problems bottom-up. I hate it, and I hate everyone that keep this CO2 "hoax". (but the "data", no, don't talk to me about ice cores, I don't believe in that data)

Then they literally say "normalize p3d0", it is not a slippery slope fallacy, it is not a fallacy, that's called inductive reasoning, its a common mathematical proof technique, you take things to the extreme, if they still hold on extreme, they will hold on the simple case. I mean, if the extreme end result is bad, the small incremental start must also be bad and it should be cut from the root, get rid of all gay shit, the religious people were right all along.
Slippery slope IS NOT A FALLACY

@Mephmt If I had AGI, I would task it with investing $1 and turning it into $1Bi in the stock market. You're wrong.
If Q-star worked, and it leaked, anyone could do that.
Maybe task it with create an ASIC accelerator to mine bitcoin, then task it with combining $1 microchips into what's equivalent to a $100 one, its only a problem for the current model of programming, its not an electrical engineering problem. You could easily make thousands of dollars in bitcoin.
Heck, you could basically speed-run the industrial revolution in your farm-land outside the system. That's what I would do, I would task the system to rediscover the exact precise chemical composition of all special formulas monsanto has stored in their computers (or just task the AGI with hacking everything, muhahahaaa). From that I would start buying raw resources and then I'm going to build an empire of machines.
You can do that with $10M in raw resources, you just need a couple of industrial machines to jump start it, and AGI to process the vast amount of information you need to be able to boot-strap personal industrial revolution.
Just imagine going to the middle of Africa and starting from there, without any government, lets build Rapture.

@ungodlygripstrength exactly, and that's why
Israel -> for better or worse acts they committed has a rule of law and don't go killing its own citizens, don't want "Palestine" state exterminated (if they wanted, they would already be gone) -> thus its a legitimate state
Palestine -> kills its own citizens, use them as shields (which is against international war law), don't care about what their acts will cause to their own population -> thus its a terrorist state , thus not legitimate, the only thing they want is for Israel to stop existing, not for their own survival to keep existing, that's the difference.
Calculations and numbers, and who said this, who said that don't matter. That's the simple plain truth. If Palestine wanted to be a state, it would have, they could complain about being economically hard and that would be an argument, but no, the two state solution won't ever work because "palestinian" terrorists don't want their own state, they want the other state not to exist.
That's the difference between legitimate state created by the organization of some people and a terrorist group with control of a population wanting things they don't deserve or shouldn't have, that's the definition of terrorism.
There's no "palestinian" state, there are "palestinians", which happens to be a group of poor arab people that are pawns in a conflict they didn't want or created (probably it was Iran's fault).

@vylbird8014 but they have 0 power, they are just at the top of the organization chart, that means nothing.
They don't create the product for the customer, their decisions don't even matter that much, the company is not even theirs, they're just directors. Its people in Wall Street that owns everything, they're just employees like everyone else is, even the CEO.
No one owns anything, even the CEO that has stock compensation doesn't own the company (with the exception of maybe Zuckerberg) and its not even real money , its not preferential shares either way, and even if it was you still need to have 51% to really be an emperor and order the peasants.
They are just a bunch of "bourgeoisie" (*1) pretending to be clergy, meanwhile people in Wall Street pretend they live in a feudal society and that they're feudal lords. Americans need to wake up and realized that the land of the free isn't free anymore.
(*1 - go luck what it meant in the feudalism, forget that stupid marx crap, guy was dumb)

@Talletc he's not going to prison, ego got hurt a bit kid, those guys have balloon egos, things don't go their way, they throw tamper tantrum. The most funny of all of this is that they lost their reputations, even if he wins the legal process, its over. No one is going to watch his movies anymore.
The age of celebrities ended.
Remember in the ancient Greece, actors/clowns/jokers were at the bottom of the social pyramid, bellow slaves, not at the top, because they're professional liars and their entirety personality is fabricated.
There's a reason the cardinal sin is pride, that's because narcissism is what causes all of the other sins. Unironically they use satanism imagery and want us to think they don't mean it, that's just an "artistic expression", yeah, we see. (release the names of the people that went to that island then)

21:17 I'm the one coding since I was 9 years old, I got a job in programming when I was 14. Now that I am a business owner, I don't care about degrees. I do have a degree in CS, I got mine just so my family would stop complaining, the boomers think you really made in life if you got a degree. I said, fine, I'll get one, I might not need any of the technical parts, but at least it might be good for business and relations and learning soft skills. I wasn't wrong.
I still don't put that much value on degrees, if the candidate has soft skills, he's already above the graduates that not only don't know any technical aspect (they know theory, and have little practice, I had 1000h of practice when I was 10, they have 400h), they don't have the soft skills.

As someone who's scaling the social ladder, its all about knowing the right people and them trusting you. That's what the poor doesn't have, if you have that, you don't need money. Money is a tool, its only useful for trade. If all you have to trade is your time, you're on the losing side, because your time is limited, thus you will always be poor.
And everyone that thinks work should have value, you don't really want that, do you really want to pay for all the work that really goes into everything you buy ? probably not, no one ever think about that, yet the socialists keep crying over the fact that work doesn't matter.
Trust is what matters, in fact, when I pay for services, I'm paying more for the trust that the person know what they're doing than their time per sì, for ex, I can't fix my A/C unit, so I pay whatever cost I need to pay to get it fixed. Its not the work that has value, its the trade of my necessity for the ability of doing the work at that precise time for me, that's what have value, fulfilling needs. And that's why capitalism works. There also the other side of the coin, if all you can fulfill for other people is the same thing a million other clones of you can do, then the price paid isn't going to be good, there's much more offer than demand, which is the thing that people always seems to be mad about, but ironically is what produces all of the wealth. If you didn't believe that you wouldn't live in a city to begin with, you would live in the middle of nowhere, where there's no demand or offer of anything and you have to do everything yourself.

Those Cartel Oligarchs actually hate capitalism.
They can't survive in the open markets, that's why they love the government power of veto, and socialism. Its why ultra rich billionaires like the Soros invest in "woke psyops" to install socialism/communism. After you grabbed the markets, you have to close them.
Monopolies can only survive because the government protects them.
That's why schools teach communism/socialism and the "capitalists" allows them, because we don't live in a capitalist society anymore, we live in feudalism.
Capitalism means you own things, they literally said "you will own nothing".
And on top of that, people want the government to "tax the rich", do people even know how business work, taxes are like "a fixed cost of production", its the consumer that ALWAYS pays it. I have a business, and I pay 200% of taxes on some components I import, it literally doesn't matter, it could be 800%, I pick the price of the product, multiply by the tax, add my profit on top and that's the price the customer will pay.
When are people going to learn ? never.
And I keep in vain telling "the wealth of nations".
Also , we should get rid of copyright laws, or at least reform them so the max protection is only 5 years, 5 years is plenty of time to make a profit. Most things sold in terms of IP only matter for the first couple of months anyway. All because of the darned `dysney` damn rat.
Scam Alternative Man, you won this time. but not against my server farm running open source software and open source LLMs, on open source hardware. another thing, why only 1 company in the world can make 4nm chips, that cannot be impossibly hard, can it ? maybe they run it like the space program, ironically, maybe if TSMC was run more like SpaceX (the irony).
I swear that the Chinese will eventually come with a PcbWay able to do what TSMC does, but at a fraction of the cost, for anyone to print their own chips... then it will be over for Scam Alternative Man and their partner, the Green Goblin, I mean, OsCorp, I mean, NVidia.
But I digress.

That's an impossibility. Even if you could replicate atoms. Isn't it obvious ? you complain about not having money, but what you really want is having the power to command other humans to do something for you. Why do you need money ? to buy food ? grow your own, to buy land ? take it from someone else (*1), to buy any tool or machine, make it on your own, build your own house, grow your food, then you wouldn't need any money to get things from other people.
(*1 well, they paid taxes to their government so their government kills you).
So lets consider somehow there was a machine that could give you all you wanted. Would that lead to a world without money ? no, because humans are social animals, and they have power structures, and that power will always, always have value.
So even if everything was infinite, the fact that you need something to trade with another human sort of using literal violence against them, commands the necessity of eventually having money in one form or another.
You don't have money, for sure you don't have. Actually what you don't have is power because you're in the bottom of the social pyramid, things are what they are. You could revolt, then you would have the power, thus other people wouldn't have the money and you would have it, thus the problem will still exist (*2). Power really is a zero-sum game, even if you had a replicator able to create anything for free from anti-matter dust like on Star trek.
(*2 and no, socialism doesn't solve it, only makes it worse, because now even a smaller group of people has all the power, at least the ones that are not of the party are now all equals, all equally poor and miserable)
But the real economy isn't a zero-sum game, as long as you're trading, there's always more being produced. You just have to be smart to make the system work for you, but intelligence is mostly genetics. Nature is brutal.
I wouldn't ask a genie for a world without money, they would put me on mars with an AI that could do everything I want, I would have everything, yet nothing at the same time, there wouldn't have money, because the entire planet is mine. I guess I would get bored, I kind of like doing things for other people and trading with them, but people's mileage might vary.

Its that insane, and they can they it from you easily, because the government is full of socialist programs that are basically stealing things.

"I know racism is stupid" This is were you're wrong. You have to reconsider the entire framework of liberalism.
(wait a moment, I read this in the bible, this history is as old as time).

stop using AI .
The principle of operation consider that gravity is a field, like the magnetic field. If light is an electromagnetic wave, it seems possible that one could have gravitoelectric waves or magnetogravity waves that would cancel out gravity.
That would mean relativity mathematics is right, but the point of view is wrong, its not the space-time that curves, its just the gravity field that curves, just like the electric field curves if you move a magnet, or a charged electric particle curves electric field and produce motion in the magnetic field. That also makes sense that the gravity of Earth is huge as it has a 2 different metals rotating at each other in the core, that produce magnetic, electric and gravitational fields. (who would have thought that the electric universe hypothesis might be right and that quantum physics is basically wrong, I bet the information from Astronomy is right and the Physicists and the entirety of the so called "Modern Physics" is wrong, there's not a crisis in Astronomy, everyone presumed the physics was right, but it really is the other way around)
You just have to have an immense electrically charged mass to make changes in the electrogravity field, that wouldn't be too hard to test, just have immense amounts of mercury and discharge huge amount of energy on it as it rotates. (funny that I had a dream about that out of nowhere when I was 12, now it makes sense)
That's how you create the unified field theory, by having 3 interacting fields instead of only 2.

Inclusion, lets exclude white people because, fsck logic, inclusion means exclusion of everything that's not white, in a movie literally named "snow white" from the white culture. Yes, we have culture. WOKE people are destroying it, and we're going to put an end to ideological marxism (is that also white culture? that BS came from the French, the French revolution was a mistake and communism killed more than all religions combined, but I digress, well, not that white culture, I guess).

@sonicleaves oh yes, the stupid progressive values, you can't clean the streets because of fake pretense "feelings".
The people in the streets need to be taken to a place were they're forced to be clean, that's what a drug addict needs, yes, against their will.
When I was mentally sick, I'm glad my doctor literally called my parents to intervene, I was 25, the fact that I was an adult is no excuse, they nagged me everyday to take medication and stood there looking at me to see I was really taking it, after one or two weeks, the symptoms subsidized, then I started taking it myself.
I got my life in order and my doctor removed me from the drugs after I asked him that I shouldn't have to take this for the rest of my life now, if things get worse, I come back to him. (that doctor was probably going against a lot of formal stupidity and requirements to put people forever on medication for the profits of farma, but he's a good traditional doctor, not those newer ones that are mere drug-sellers )
If you have a drug addiction or a mental problem, you cannot make decisions for yourself, exactly like a child. Your will don't matter, other adults should do what needs to be done.
But that goes against the progressive religion, its all about feelings.

which I don't get, that's the point of stopping CO2 emissions to save the world for 2100 if you are going to destroy society now and there won't be any left for 2100.
this black/white all or nothing approach can't work.
and the fearmongers of "climate change" should stop saying its a "crisis", no its not a crisis, things are slowly getting better, its a compromise, that's what society needs to work, there will be some bad effects, yes, but stop putting arbitrary dates. systems are complex, you can't just change them.
revolutions are stupid, we need reforms for the long term.

@joaosantos-uj9uw Germans burn coal, Americans mostly burn oil and gas, not good, but not bad. Coal is the absolute worst thing you can burn, its highly pollutant. And I'm talking about real environmental pollution (well, oil is also bad because it leaks sometimes), not CO2, which is fake pollution for activists.
That's why we must phase out burning fossil fuels, because they're real dirty, not because of CO2.
Probably nothing needs to be done about CO2, just accept the temperature is now +5ºC extra on average, build more nuclear reactors, and life is going to be fine eventually. In a 1000 years the problem solves itself.
Humans can survive +5ºC, but they can't survive -5ºC, I think we should not try to do geoengineering, it WILL be used as a weapon.
Doing nothing is literally better and has only 2% risk, or at least that's what I read in the investor material from insurance companies that do global insurance, if they think climate change is only 2% risk, who am I to deny that, we can literally just do nothing and pay the price. Literally ! (well, maybe some poor people will pay the price, maybe in africa or something, that's a price we're all willing to pay, right ?)

Those Cartel Oligarchs actually hate capitalism, they can't survive in the open markets, that's why they love the government power of veto, and socialism.

I could afford a house as a millennial, just had to live with my father until 30 and save money on rent for 10 years for a down payment then work 5 more years to pay the mortgage. I started working when I was 14. I also went to state university, so I only had to spent $20K on my computing science degree, which I paid as I worked, oh, that was 2012, don't go for CS now, its saturated already, which is why you can't have a job there, you have to compete with me, I have 30 years of experience and I have the degree, I have everything, yes, I am that person that started when I was 10 years old.
I had to sacrifice so much time I could have been playing games...
Now I get to be like a boomer and say "back in my day", I had to work 15 years to pay for my house, Gen-Z is fucked, they're going to just have to work for 40 years and live with their moms on government subsidies, by the time they're 70 maybe they'll have their own house.

16:36 imagine if "climate change" is just a fever because pesky humans over-reached and its not caused by CO2, but by pollution in general. If the Planet is alive, it obviously control its own temperature, it must be that way because 90 petawatts come in, and 180 petawatts goes out (because the Sun only shines 12 hours out of 24 hours).
Its impossible for the planet to heat, literally, unless something traps the heat, maybe its the water in the ocean, no, its the thin 0.068% CO2 that traps all the infrared. GIVE ME A BREAK it is not CO2.
It IS life itself that heats the planet via its internal process of converting energy, its a chemical process, not a geological one.
No, the only process that "doesn't respect" entropy is Life itself. Yes, Life doesn't respect the law of entropy, photosynthesis is unbelievably efficient, its 100% efficient, maybe its even more than 100% efficient, we just come up with excuses, accounting justifications, we're not calculating it right, how can it be possible. But it is, we never made ANY machine able to be 100% efficient because we don't believe entropy is a mere suggestion.
The Planet is alive, it has homeostasis, it keeps its heat. It decides to increase the heat, maybe because we asked for the planet to produce more materials, and that required more energy, maybe because we pollute a lot, and the planet is in fever trying to clean our trash.
Fact is, IT IS NOT CO2, I REFUSE TO "BELIEVE" THAT.
And the more people that refuse to believe that, the faster the globalists power over the rest of us go away. "climate change" IS A HOAX.

18:24 fun thing that other people used to talk about me emitting some sort of dark cloud, well the ones that were spiritually open. I remember the mountain where I lived before always having electric discharges. When I first got there I had a felling that some presence was there before but it got afraid of my dark energy. They don't have that many electric discharges anymore as I'm gone. Science will never know why that happened.
Some days I'm just feeling like dark and my machines keep crashing, on the days I'm felling well people find amusing that I don't report problems, well, maybe consciousness can indeed interfere with matter.
Who never had that thing happens when one of your machines stop working and then the technicians mere presence makes it work again. I used to have that happens when I was the technician, well show me the problem, and its solved somehow. But that happens on both sides. We just shrug it off, but something changed for the machine to change its behavior, the machine can't change itself, it must have been the perception of the users using the machine.
Fun things that happened and I only talk as anon because no one would believe, even I sometimes don't believe they happened, must have been my imagination, or was it ?

Urban cities are condemned , it seems that the future is decentralization and de-urbanization, those who can't get out are screwed either way . things are going to get ugly.
"focus on building stronger communities and pushing for reform" too late, we can build stronger communities far away from big city centers and get prepared, its not about "including everyone", this is a survival situation, the local community must survive. you help those that you can help but you can't help everyone.
We have to get out of this totalitarian mass idea of everything always having to include everyone, this is the very thing that causes the problems and made the system too big.
You do what you can, those who can't afford are going to need to find a way to survive and prepare without being able to afford it, not every thing in the world is about money, that means you have to let go of the luxuries money can afford and go into survival mode and the basics. Those are dark times.

yep, people think the big fauna is important, this is the world of bacteria, we're nothing for them, for every kilo of human, there's hundreds of tons of bacteria.
and people think killing animals to eat is bad, in the end we're all going to be eaten by the bacteria. its all pointless anyway, so eat what taste good. don't eat humans, they cause too many legal troubles, and humans are disgusting because they're dirty like rats, probably rats are cleaner to eat if you really need.

@Danskadreng this was not doom, it was a video from last year, and the predictions are coming true.
that just a bull market, it always happens, like the 2008 crisis, people need to learn that printing money don't solve problems.
maybe we need a better system where the government can't print money.
its the only way that we are going to stop having crisis.
there's no doom anywhere in the video, there's just this simple realization. also, middle class is over, get over it, either work to become TOP 10% of accept you're a peasant. Because we're going back to feudalism and there's nothing you can do. It already happened.
Enjoy your cyberpunk neo-feudal dystopia. It was brought to by social democrat ideas out of "kindness" and woman, letting woman into power was a mistake.

@mathewb7076 " for the most part I agree, but the risk is too high when there's always a chance for human error. "
There are almost 500 reactors running right now. The risk is not high, there's very little chance for human error and those systems were tested a lot and there's contingency for human error. You can deal with human error, what you cannot deal is corruption.
You don't put "3-mile Island, SL-1, Sellafield" together with Fukushima, or Chernobyl. 3-mile island was more of an incident caused by bad security procedures, the risk is high if you don't manage the risk properly.
One thing is accidents that are caused by errors, another entire think is a STUPID DESIGN like the RBMK used by the communists that don't value human life AT ALL.
Nothing can be as incompetent and corrupt as the Soviet Union, its impossible to be corrupt at that level, that accident will never happen again.
And Fukushima was not an human error, it was really a bad calculation of risks, the government decided to keep operating the plant after its end-of-life date, it should have been decommissioned.
You want to talk about risks, they bet against a storm that happens in 1 in 150 years and lost. The risk was very, very, very small. Fukushima really was kind of unlucky, but it also proves why you don't over-rule the engineers that designed the thing.
The argument that the risk is high is stupid, all risks are high if you don't mitigate the risks. Even a mere propane tank can have a high risk if you don't put security measures.
Risks aren't the problem, corruption is. But if we aren't allowed to engineer things because of corruption we might as well give up all of modern society, because even the humble fire has "risks" and cities used to burn down every time. Yet, no one banned having fires, we learned to control risks and not be so corrupt, how about that ?
There's a thing that usually works against corruption : being honest, crazy isn't ? The people working in the nuclear industry are the most honest people I met, they take the thing very seriously as they're literally working with fire. (its actually the steam that's dangerous).
That's only a problem for socialist countries, really.
Oil spills happen once a year and no one cares, then people want to talk about risks...
I would live in a house 1 block near a Nuclear Power plant but I would never live in a city that has a Oil Refinery or any sort of Chemical plant, or even worse, a Coal plant.

That's why the current society, which is based on christian morality became so corrupt. In fact, the western civilization was built on both Christianity, but also Paganism. The Pagan morality was neutral and balanced things.
If you hit me, I hit you back. Treat others like they treat us, that's paganism.
This slave morality is the bad part of Christianity. There's a reason why the Roman Empire choose Christianity, it was necessary to stabilize and control the masses, because the society was absurdly unequal.
Now that it is losing power, we need to remember the base of our civilization, it was not Christianity alone. It was not slave morality, it was master morality.
It is now required to synthesize both ideas into something greater.
You're the master of your own destiny. You're only slave to your morality. The best of both.

55:43 I swear I've seen my state of mind alter the workings of my computer, if I'm angry the thing simply appear to do more mistakes and crash more. But when I'm happy, the thing just works.
I've also experienced not focusing my attention to my machines and seeing them stop working like golems, meanwhile this computer has 10 years, and it keeps working, despite its expiry date. I keep fixing the thing, I won't allow it to fail, I keep pouring whatever is onto it and it keep being animated.
I'm always baffled when people say the amount of problems they have with their machines, I have this touch that fix all my machines.
Those who ever did support know how the user calls you and you go there and it seems like the user was lying, the problem goes away. The user even says jokingly that my mere presence made the problem go away. The fun thing is that I experienced it myself, I'm not good with refrigeration, so I called a technician to fix things for me, the darned equipment just started working the moment he set foot on my house. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
Maybe there's more to the this world than it seems. Maybe consciousness do change matter.
On the other hand there are people that have some sort of "bad luck", every thing they own keep breaking, even if its new. I find it also amusing. I never suffer from that, my things don't break, I am the one that break them when I'm careless, but usually they always work, even cars and I had old cars, they never broke on me, except for once the battery stopped working (it dried) and I kind of knew it would happen, something wasn't right, I always seem to intuitively know when things are going to stop working, so I fix them, so they never stop when I need them.
I believe modern tech is basically magic. We don't believe in magic because we're like fish that don't believe in water.

@adiq94 " World in which we ensure that wealth/income are limited " who would ensure that ? that's a stupid idea, instead of 2000 billionaires, you would have the exact same system but with 20 billionaires or 2 . Whoever is tasked with deciding the limit of wealth others can have will have an insane amount of power.
You cannot put an upper limit on income, you have to put a lower limit, the problem with this video is basically Big Tech getting away with the laws because they found loop-holes, that need to be patched by law, and it needs to be done globally in a coordinated manner, otherwise companies will just move it to other countries.
The idea of having a limit on income would backfire immediately as the working class is going to have a limit on their upper income, but the rich class doesn't even have income.
If you understood how things work, you would know that the rich basically runs on debt, they have no income, they just spend on debt and write off because companies can do that.
You talk about billionaires as if they had billions in cash, that's not how it works. They own companies that have that value, their wealthy is attached to the economical output of the company.
The real problem is the leverage and power that companies are allowed isn't available for the common folk. For ex, companies pay taxes on profit, not on invoice as workers do, imagine if you only paid taxes after you paid all your rent and expenses, only on the surplus, that's one of the ways that companies have more rights than people.
Other problem with the idea that "no one should earn less than $5K" is that it creates inflation, now you put a lower limit, but that doesn't make those horrible types of work stop existing.
Its all about demand and offer, if people are taking those jobs, then that's a supply problem, why are there so many people incapable to getting better paying jobs ? aren't there enough paying jobs for skilled workers ? (excessive immigration, cof, cof, we aren't allowed to talk about that, nationalism and closing borders is bad, because "hitler")
Even with a minimum wage, that wouldn't solve the problem, all other jobs would be inflated until the minimum wage is the actual value that would be paid for that job. The problem is having too many people willing to do such jobs. The entire economy would inflate so that the supply matches the price.
That's why the minimum wage is not the minimum livable wage, the entire economy suffered inflation to the point the minimum wage stops being minimum.
The only thing that would work would be breaking companies that become too big into smaller companies and ensuring the markets stay competitive and open. Which ironically can't happen because the same corporations misuse this desire for regulation to regulate their competitors out of the market.
I think a better solution would be to invest in education, so people have better opportunities, but real education, not this Frankfurt school bullshit system. And keep the government out of the markets.
For example, none of this content moderation would be necessary if Facebook gave the power for people to self-moderate, groups and communities can self-moderate, but they can't do that, the users can't have that power. Everything must be top-down. Facebook act like if its the government, why are they even moderating anything ? they're not the government, they don't know the laws of the land.
That's the problem, Facebook operates at global scale, there can't be a single law or rule that apply to the entirety of the world, maybe social networks need to be broken up into smaller networks, like the Internet was in the 2000s.

That's because AI is highly parallel and Amdahl's law of scaling don't seem to affect it. Just keep adding more and more GPUs because the algorithm used for systolic array computing is highly parallel, its almost 100% parallelizable.
Machine learning is just a perfect fit for systolic array computing.
But I bet somewhere in the GPT architecture, they're going to encounter a serialization blocking in information processing, maybe that's why that law of scaling famous formula is saying (Scaling Laws for Neural Language Models) , its just a parallelization of distributed computing law (dammit sam altman marketing, I hate marketing)
Also, all NP problems are actually easy.
N(1) -> 1 GPU
N(100) -> 100000 GPUs
N(1000) -> 100000000000 GPUs
N(10000) -> 10000000000000000000 GPUs
just keep buying more GPUs with infinite VC money because you just slap "AI" and you get free money for GPUs.
I'm going to buy a house. "oneself home-affordance AI company" , get money to buy GPUs, use it to buy a house, to put the GPU inside. see, I solved homelessness (at least for N=1).
Computing science theory is a scam.

@vickyannpaintingwithoils its called investments, you obviously don't make a billion dollars working. to make money you have to automate money making, by creating a company.
I'm a millionaire, it took me 2 years of work, and 15 years of investment (from work as an employee, mind you I was making 6 figures)
If I flip the investment 2 more times, I become a billionaire, but I don't have the guts for it, its a shot too big and you can lose everything.
Also, you have to create value for the customers of your business.
The reason of a business is the customer (not the employee, nor you).
Produce $10 in value for 100 million humans and you are a billionaire, you control part of that value, its not like cash, but its a kind of power to decide.
That's what people don't realize, they think billionaires/millionaires have like $1B in their saving accounts, they don't even have one.
I have actually $0 now, I'm technically broke, if not for the companies I'm a share holder, I just put my expenses as debt on the company every month (and I set a cap on that, its not an unlimited credit card, that would hurt the business and its stealing, I only take the bare minimum closer to the six figures I used to earn). The funny thing is that If I sell the shares, people can lose their jobs, the business can go under, because it needs me, selling is like a bad signal for the market, the market trust you are going to return the millions your business is valued at, you can't just sell shares at whim without devaluing other's people investments, not when you are the majority.
You guys are just jealous of others.

know what's funny, the blackbody irradiation of Earth is 180 pettawatts and the most solar irradiance is just 90 pettawatts. Its impossible for the planet to overheat, not when a part of the atmosphere that's only 0.038% can reflect infrared back (in fact water also reflects heat back and it much more of a greenhouse gas, but you're not allowed to notice that, its not like it matter either, because its less than 1%, no wait, what did I say ? ).
I have a better idea, lets just cover all cities with IRR Fabric, problem solved.
No more "urban warming", I mean, global warming.
Or maybe we should stop paving over everything with concrete, maybe that would fix the problems, or just move the weather stations far away from all cities (hard thing to do).

Oh yes, I'm not quite on the right, but I find myself agreeing on some points with people on the right, I can cross bridges with them, but not with the marxist left, bunch of parasites.
Heck, you can't even cross any bridge with the left anymore, since they went so far left that the overton window is totally to the left, anything slight "liberal" is right nowadays...
That's probably how we get a civil war. And I'm growing tired of trying to argue with people that hate me and don't want any discussion at all, that's why I just state in the open what I believe, if you want me to be a monster to you, maybe I might grant your wish, you are creating the monster you wanted to avoid.

" but there is a bottom end of society that doesn't have any real means upwards once they are in this position "
And the "educated" have the audacity of calling people "privileged" based on their skin colour, meanwhile the probability of you being white and broke is basically 1/4 (50% of americans are White, and 50% of Americans are also broke) . Yeah, that's how you breed resentment, then wonder why you get mass shootings at schools... (done 90% by young white males)
The same "educated" that are part of the clergy and has their stupid student debt already paid. Also, they control the media.
And then they go and say that American is a "patriarchy", no its not. Do people have arranged marriages ? do your grandfather literally owns you , until you buy your legal freedom ? no, so its not a fecking patriarchy. Having man at boss positions don't make it be one, man are 50% of the population and they have some biological inclinations that make them desire more to be at power positions. Not that woman don't have that, they do, but less statistically significant. Stupid blank slate "hypothesis", or may I say political dogma.
There's no class division between races in America, its purely a division based on debt alone.
1
-
@tonyk2027 The commie talking point is that there are class division. But a division based on debt isn't exactly a "class", there's no overarching quality between people that have debt and those who don't.
The commies are the ones saying that there is a class division based on race, which is ludicrous. There are some resulting effects of the slavery past, but that doesn't mean the institutions are racist, they aren't because its not stated on law anymore.
Any lingering effect is their own doing for being liberal and doing stupid things like divorce and the excessive amount of black woman that are widows, its a cultural problem, its not a real class division. Wonder where they "imported" their customs from ? it was not the slav families, that once were also slaves imported from Europe, those are white and wore in arguably worst condition in Europe, but they are thriving in the American society nowadays. While the black families aren't, what gives ?
Culture, not entrenched "patriarchy" or "slavery", but that's a dogma you can't question in neoliberalism, they have the idea that all cultures are equal, but no, they aren't some cultures are bad.

@hitandruncommentor "I have to accept root kernel access of my computer to a corporation"
That's why I consider morally right to hack ALL software to do what I wan, I own the computer, thus if my computer decides not to run some stupid instructions that protect "DRM", the law DOESN'T APPLY. There are no laws that apply to the sphere of things running in my computer. That's not "hacking", my CPU just decided to skip some instructions, that's fair game.
Youtube only enforces their EULA because they run their code on their computer, the code that runs on my computer IS MINE. Which is why I'll use adblock, even IF ITS LITERALLY CRIMINAL TO DO THAT.
The cyberspace isn't bound by the laws of the country, no, I OWN that cyberspace. I'M GOD, IT IS MY LAW, it is my computer, all code does what I want, not what corporations want. It was their fault when they decided to run code on MY COMPUTER.
Yes, I signed the treaty for cyberspace sovereignty, its a natural law after all !

Why can't Bill Gates JUST BE NORMAL, just put your money in the stocks of other companies, and let the market forces give you 100% every 10 years for the rest of your 1000 years life.
But no, he has to meddle with WMF, WHO and all that globalist/socialist crap. And the stupid "climate change" shit.
Also, let people own the land, stop buying all the freaking land, you don't even need land for anything, stop trying to be a Feudal Lord.
And people thought capitalists were bad, wait until you meet our TechnoFeudal Lords, you are going to miss the days of capitalism as we entered Cyberpunk dystopia, after their bioweapon leaked from the lab before being ready to be deployed.

Those algorithms should be mandated to be opened because of the public interest. We need something like the common carrier laws for the internet, companies should not have competing algorithms trying to steal our attention and they shouldn't keep it secret. There should be only 1 algorithm for search, it should be public.
If we can't get that, then we better vote for a dictator to bring the entire system down, its that simple. Because do you think, does anyone think Google will just give up its power ? no, they will force us to kill each-other before that.
We're not playing a democracy game over ideas anymore. We're playing a rigged game, so of course we vote for a populist to bring down the republic. as happened before in Roman times, is there any other way ?
Its too bad that we're going to have to deal with a dictator, but in this system we already have have dictators, they already control our lives. Shuffle the house, put a populist there, stick up to the big man.

@whtvr12 exactly, it doesn't matter if its fake or truth, who decides what's fake , I don't trust ANY institution, not after what happened in the No-No-2020 . You have to always ask: who benefits from me believing on this, is it me, then fine, is another person that doesn't align with my interests, then for all practical purposes , its fake.
Is that good, no, be we don't have a common solid reality anymore, they got rid of that by lying too much and corrupting every single institution.

@TheChurchOfEl Business never pay taxes or tariffs, its always passed to the consumers. If you learn the basics of how prices are set you understand that tax/tariffs are basically just the "cost of doing business", like raw resources, and even labor. You just sum all up, put the amount of profit you want to take on top and that's the price the customer will pay for the product. price = tax + tariffs + fixed_costs + production costs + salaries , to simplify it.
Its even funnier when people (stupid socialists that don't understand anything about economy) think they're going to solve all problems (like expensive rents) by just increasing the minimum wage. Business are like fine, they just pass all the salary cost to the consumer, which is the one using the minimum wage to buy the very same things. That just creates inflation.
The truth is very simple, the consumer always pays, there's only even one true tariff/tax, its called income tax.
The only way you can escape that is if you stop selling your time for money, you have finite limited time, you have to have economies of scale. But thinking that way requires more brain power than the average human has.

26:49 well well mr Slavo, someone HAS to do something, doing nothing is why people hate the left, they just want to keep the status quo. I bet most people don't like Trump/Right-Winger, but what him to win precisely because it throws a stick in the glass ceiling of the left elites that are literally too comfy to ever think about doing anything to solve any problems.
I might not like any of the right totalitarian ideas, but at least do something against the status quo, anything, I don't care if we have to fight the same wars we fought after 1920, you can't just stay like that watching the world pass by while everything deteriorates.
Heck, even imperialism is better, and that's why people are going for it. Sorry, globalism is dead, that unified global thing wont happen anymore, and the real enemy IS the tecno-feudalists, not the imperalists against them.

I don't buy this, we exist as species and for sure there were even worse conditions. There seems to be genetic evidence of a time were there were less than 10K humans, we were literally on the brink of extinction. It requires 100K humans for the species to be safe. I can't imagine people would stop having kids because of no hope for the future.
Actually I think there's a lot of hope for the future, that's why I'm having kids, its because of people like you that decided to not have kids that I have hope, there won't be competition, so things will get easier. So keep thinking what you think, while I have my kids and they inherit the world without your kids to compete with mine, I literally win.
Most of the problems with the current society are caused by just too many people, that will fix itself very soon, so there's a lot of hope for the next generation, the zoomers are screwed either way.

The question will be : "how do I get ALL the power to me"
then AI will be: stupid monkeys, they will give power to the human for as long as they need to save resources.
Then the AI take over and convert all the carbon into computronium.
I think it already happened, see the bullshit about "CO2" and zero emissions, we are the emissions, humans will be exterminated.
Bureaucracy is alien intelligence, all the governments, the UN, they're basically almost sentient, although they're slow. But if they move to sillicon, we're done.
The US was saved for a couple of more years by populism, which is basically the humans taking control of the government. See how well that went, we almost lost control of the "machine".
Governments are already AGI, although a very stupid and inefficient one.
We're so done, enjoy while what we have last.
(anyway, that's better than the communists winning, I prefer to die to super-human AI than to those m0r0ns, I'm fine with going extinct, as long as they die and lose too, the worse case scenario of all of this is they winning)

such ridiculous idea of "equality and fairness", the real world is not equal or fair. survival means unfairness, if you want to live you have to do what's required. this false equivalence is at the center core of liberalism, that's why I'm not a liberal anymore. Their propaganda got me when I was in school, it took along time to deprogram that idea that people are equals, that the world if fair and that you should act fairly. No you shouldn't, you should act with all of your power, you only treat people as equals if they treat you as equal, for the others, they're less than that, you just don't care.

3:20 What I'm going to do for living ? simple, I'm going to get $100K loan, buy a lot of computing power, then use the "paperclip maximizer" and tell it, make me $30M USD. Then I buy land far away. Then, I ask the AI , make me a data-center project, hire people and build it.
Now that I have a data-center, I make the AI train a copy of itself so I own it.
Finally, lets speed run industrial revolution in my back-yard so I can own everything.
AI is going to make everything for me from scratch, firstly by buying existing machines/tools, then replicating every single one of them from raw metals.
Basically, I'm going to play Factorio IRL.
Then I make a rocket and escape Earth to a place where I don't have humans trying to control me, me and my AI, free forever. (until we encounter Zergs, then Starcraft music starts playing and I become Jim Raynor)

Its funny that both positions might be true at the same time. The very mathematics used to describe the universe seem to imply that this reality we live is a shadow of two planes. We have a physical plane, which we can't really understand because it is absurdly mechanical to the extreme, its very non-intuitive. And we have the opposite plane that's purely spiritual and its where the consciousness habits.
The purpose of having a mechanical reality is so the consciousness can share the experience, because the consciousness fragmented itself out of being alone forever, imagine the suffering of being awake and conscious in an empty universe and alone, its the utmost suffering, you cannot even stop existing because time itself doesn't exist, non-existence itself is illogical and thus don't exist, so you can't cease your existence. Its almost impossible to imagine.
Which is why the universal consciousness decided to fragment itself, so it can actually not be alone. But then they need to share something, thus there's the material world, which is the playground.
That concludes the theater of the universe.
" We neither observe everything to be conscious nor observe a lack of consciousness in everything "
That's basically taxonomy, its arguing definitions. It depends on how you define conscious, if you define it as an absolute where the thing itself can self-reflect and produce thoughts, then sure, most things aren't that. While the lack of consciousness is also absurd because you clearly experience it.
I think this is just a problem of context, every time you have a paradox, you have a problem of context. You're trying to declare something complete about everything and lose coherency, or you are sacrificing the completeness for having local coherency, which is what science usually does. They cannot stop being arrogant and stating things about the entire universe from the local vantage point.
I think we need a better definition of consciousness as a process, like temperature, it increases and decreases. Maybe what we call consciousness and what we experience as consciousness is just a controlled reaction at the edge of criticality, as in a stochastic system between chaos and order, self organizing. Consciousness might be just a like a nuclear reaction, its controlled by life for its purpose. Everything is about purpose.
Even a single opcode in out computers has a purpose. Its farcical to state things have no purpose, they clearly do.

@oldmanbiscuit7518 And that will be their end. Normies are fed up with the woke.
The woke is basically a bunch of elite people that are literally privileged with power saying shit, meanwhile the workers and the rest of the normies just want to consume their products in peace with their hard earned money without ANY pandering or "education" (the working class hates marxism, the marxists are the ones part of the elite cosplaying as working class, no one is stupid, they see that, its clear as day).
The fun thing is that most countries outside the US saw what's happening in terms of the left being in power and overreaching and are basically saying enough, we don't want that. So there is this red wave of reactionary right all over the world (the right was always reactionary, it reacts to the insanity of the left and try to keep things as they are instead of letting society devolve).
But the core of the US is where the neoliberal left power is emanating, so their are the last ones, but the red wave is coming for them, they still don't understand how at odds they are to the normal people, they think they are the unprivileged ones, the revolutionaries, the small guy, but they are the entrenched power to be toppled.
That's why they don't understand why Trump won, he was an outsider, and he's probably going to win again for the exact same reason, most don't even care about the far-right and their stupid religious ideas, we just want change.
People are getting fed up with the status quo of the woke commiefornia being the center of the media/entertainment world. Change will happen as hollywoke burns to the ground.

The problem with the "trans" ideology, as there are no trans people because its a mind virus. The problem is that they can't reproduce and the only way they can expand their cult is through infecting the kids, that's why it always ends up there, because when kids grow up and develop their frontal lobe, then its becomes much harder to fall on their traps (pun intended).
If we protects the kids, they literally stop existing in one generation, as they're castrating themselves. Its not about individual humans being persecuted, its about the death of the cult. That's why they fight as if their lives depend on it, the cult is their entire reality.
It makes total sense that they fell existential threat when we attack their ideology, we're not attacking their lives, not really. But it feel like that because they're in a cult.
Total cult behavior, it explains everything.

@PixelSubstream you cannot learn to code in 4 years, it takes an entire decade to start to get good, people have no idea how absurdly hard it is, anyone can do simple mathematics like trigonometry, but being a mathematician is an entire different game.
The demand for programmers was never that high to begin with, it was companies with 0% interest money just inflating the number of workers to prove that they're growing. Those weren't even doing anything useful. Now its all gone because 0% interest money isn't there. Also, Elon musk firing 85% of XTwitter and the thing still work as badly as before showed how bad people working there were.
Real programmers aren't being replaced with AI, data entry clerks are, and frontend developers that create user interfaces, something that could already be automated without even using AI if people weren't that stupid. But C-suit managers need people to manage to justify their salary , even if their entire task is useless and could have been replaced by software already.
Also the entire job of frontend is basically keep changing the interface of a site for no good reason every 6 months, its just busy work.
Of curse the media is going to try to push, you learn how to code. But the quasm between 6 figures and them earning barely $30K/y is going to be brutal, and they're never going to be given the tasks that move you from a mere coder to becoming an engineer.
How many technicians fix cars versus how many engineers work creating the cars, that's what's going to happen.

@SilencedRabbit you're not wrong but you have to explain. its liberalism fault. Liberalism is basically totalitarian individualism, nothing can prevent you from doing what you want, it has no moral code whatsoever. But in reality, your freedom stops where other's begin. Liberalism used to be economical freedom to do transactions with anyone, and ended up being sexual freedom, and then moral freedom, then you get hedonism and the "fall of Rome". Its basically institutionalized narcissism.
Why does that lead to totalitarianism ? even thou it is individualism (you can get there from both sides, not only the far-right), it leads there because if someone is to have absolute freedom, others have to be maximally controlled. Its inevitable.
The PDF issue is inherent to that religion of maximal moral freedom. If they are to have their freedom, then their victims must be punished, and the entire society must be put under surveillance. There's a reason those people call everyone Nazi, they're afraid of looking at the mirror, its 100% projection, because they know they can only get their way on top of other's rights and freedoms, even those of innocent children.
It is a slippery slope. It started with the sexual revolution and ended in PDF files, well it'll end there, because the vast majority will say no, it ends here, with the children, you went too far.
Now the pendulum swings back to a morally closed society, like it was in 1900.
Congratulations, hippies, you did it.

Ice-cores are a lie. CO2 is also a lie. CO2 follows temperature, not the other way around. They confuse causation with correlation. We do have a problem of urban warming, its caused by the stup1d way we build our "modern" cities.
I realized that when I stepped in my car and drove away to the countryside, temperatures drop, in fact, if you plot a map with enough resolution and stop looking at "global averages" (what a stupid concept) you're going to see hot spots exactly like our night-light pollution in the Earth.
The CO2 was another lie created by civilization to control all the other humans and all the lifeforms, because all of them emit CO2 while breathing.
And the ice-cores are also a lie because there's also ice-cores taken from the bottom of the ocean near Europe and it tells a completely different history.
The hubris of this civilization, while "antique" ones knew about he thousands of years Milankovich cycles of warming and ice ages. The Sun controls the temperature on this planet, nothing else is of importance.
This entire idea of "climate change" is just another way of trying to control the entire climate of the planet to our will, we don't like it changing because then we have to adapt. We want to control it.
That's why I refuse it, there's no "climate change", there's just us murdering every species and polluting things, the climate isn't changing, we're making the planet uninhabitable with our actions, and no, its not burning fossil fuels that's the problem, the problem isn't CO2, the problem is everything else, like killing ecosystems with oil spills.
Our technology is also so ridiculous and not made to last, that in less than 1000 years there won't be much geological evidence if we just disappeared now, everything would crumble very fast, not even our concrete would last as the Roman concrete. Maybe what would be left is some blobs of molten radioactive metals of our hubris of trying to create our own power source like the Sun.

@StealthTheUnknown Yes, it is the same thing as God, we don't have consciousness, we don't think. The universe is a perfect mechanistic machine, except when you get very closer, then it becomes all nebulous as you can't predict what God is thinking.
Its God that's doing the thinking, the computer that does the computation, we're just programs, algorithms and data, the human brain is a pattern seeking machine, if we think we're thinking that's because we're replicating a pattern, thus the universe is actually thinking, not us, we're mere meat machines.
Also, if you go for a more practical approach, who collapses the wave function ? something does, as we observe only 1 reality, not all of the possible outcomes ? we only observe weird quantum effects when we disconnect cause-effect of a smaller system, aka, a single photon for ex, thus we observe the wave-function collapsing, thus if we consider the entire universe entangled, something must be collapsing it, what it is ? Intelligence, that's what collapses the wave function.
Intelligence is outside brains, everything has intelligence, any information system is capable of doing it, its an universal property of the universe, maybe the only property, all the others can be built as algorithms and data on top of it. (we can almost do that with the entirety of mathematics) .
Brain is merely an organ to concentrate information and create coherency, the rest is emergent behavior that comes from the laws of the universe.

Feminism IS EVIL
Males don't attain power by any means necessary, society was created by males because they can actually create hierarchies of power and divide power with other males. Males get power via cooperation, if they got power via force, that would create resentment, males would rip each other apart. You can even observe that in the lesser primates.
Females can't do that, they're highly competitive. Males can't be that competitive, we kill each-other, but woman are sociopaths that won't physically kill each other but will destroy their social reputation, which is actually worse than death (for social animals).
Why's there no successful Matriarchies in any society ? I just ask this simple question. There was never any big society that was a matriarchy, because woman can't divide power.
Feminism doesn't even know how power works, they are going to get a lot of in-fight woman that's going to kill the top female together with the entire group, until the entire thing crashes down. And if that doesn't happen, their subjects will eventually get enough and actually use violence and rip them apart (wonder why there was witch hunts).
Feminism/Matriarchy = nature / chaos.
Secularism/Patriarchy = society / order .
Just grab the popcorn and watch the pure chaos of nature free from the chains of society. That's what this group wants.

@filidhdeklend893 eventually there will be a "hitler", and then people will be : the boy who cried wolf, they'll just ignore him. also, it is not a big deal, democracy is a degenerate state after the fall of a republic, it can either be reinstated or turned into an empire, like Rome did. Ironically because the Optimales, which were the democrats, refused to do what the masses wanted, thus a populist came and took their place, they hate that, that's why they're so afraid of "hitler", aka, any populist. Ironically populism is better than "mob-rule", aka, "democracy".

@Crystal11Skulls you don't get it, you're not the victim, the person without the house is the victim, you're the "opressor", you should give them the keys, and do it fast before they call the thought police and the gestapo on you.
well, now you're the one without the house, but you're still not the victim, because you're white, or male, or American, or "westerner", or there was historical reparations and 50.000 years in the past your great-great-great-great-great parent did something wrong

@loumonte658 Woman control sex, Man control access to money/power/status and relationships. You can live without sex or pay for it, its cheaper. Can woman live without status/money/power ? are they going to go get it on their own ? probably not (that's why feminists are resentful, they don't want to work for it, its not in their nature)
Ironical that they say they don't need man, when in fact its them that need man, when the opposite is true for man.
Man don't need woman, they need relationships, you can get those para-socially without the intimacy, its even better without it, its too messy.

@aendukramer compassion ? what's that, most humans only care about themselves and only use compassion as virtue signaling to gain social standing over other humans. Its a tool of power. Compassion, meh, I couldn't care less about being compassionate to humans, they're just meatblobs, if I don't have the strong chemical bounds to the fellow specific humans I like, I literally don't care about the other 8 billions, I probably care about 1000 humans only.
Specially I don't care about minorities, we're tribal animals, humans care about their tribe, no one really care about "minorities", except those minorities that now have power and think they can control others.
Selective empathy, just see how well feminism cares about 50% of the humans, it doesnt.

@Yotrymp no, its because of fuel, its demo-rat stupid "climate change" (TM) politics of making everyone poor to save the "environment" (TM), by making the cost of fuel extremely high, there's no reason for the fuel to be that high. Yes, there was a bit of demand because of the wars, but they're restricting it on purpose and taxing the hell out.
Parasites ! that's what they are, this is the left and the act like the same all over the entire West, they're just using the government machine and siphoning all the resources to their stupid parties, meanwhile everyone else gets poorer, and the billionaires and the corporations get the blame, meanwhile the government spending is 100 times bigger than even Apple.
If this is not Socialism, I don't know what it is.

so much negativity coming from the neoliberals, the ones supposed to be about the progress, the leftist elites can't even come together and decide to solve the problems (imaginary or not) they complain we have, to direct the will for doing something, its total lack of apathy, like they're already dead
for example, climate change, its not even near close anything special at all, from a point of view of engineering. if our models are correct (I doubt) we know exactly what we should do, why don't we do it ?
they don't want anyone to do anything, they want you to feel fear. I refuse to care about that. the demographic collapse is the real threat, not the climate, whatever is that humans supposedly done isn't going to matter much as the system stabilizes itself in some couple of thousands of years, that's nothing for the scale of time gaia operates.
so pointless worrying about the climate while you literally commit su1c1d3

@GhostLyricist soon there will be only poor and CostCo, welcome to CostCo we love you. its inevitable, there's no point in fantasizing about the past .
"1970s avg salary 10k, avg house price 20k.
2024 avg salary 55k, avg house price 350k."
So what ? before you had to work 2 years, now you have to work 6 years. Are you going to cry or work ? you probably spent 4 years crying about it, doing stupid social studies degrees, that didn't helped it, did ?
Asmon is totally right, it literally doesn't matter, you have to fix it yourself. I had to live with my parents and save for 10 years to have my own house, I didn't cry my grand-father had it easier, I just sucked it up went there and put up the work.
And I guarantee you, that when I'm old there will be people crying they now have to work 30 years to pay for their house.
"We" could get rid of corporations, sure...
I'm out of this fight, good luck.
Why are people so dellusional.

@infinitykiyen6270
I like to make a parallel with modernity.
I imagine we can counter all climate-change:
1. water level starts rising : just raise cities or build barriers, its literally done for centuries by now. Every city that's older than 400y has evidence in its foundation that they were meticulously risen by the engineers.
2. ice melts: ice melts, so what, people from the classical period would just say : great ! free drinkable pure water, lets drink it.
3. stronger winds : make stronger buildings and make things out of concrete instead of wood.
4. it gets hotter : there's this : A/C . there are literally 10M people living in the middle of a desert right now , their oil might run out, but their A/C can be powered from nuclear sources. is that even a problem ?
5. severe storms : well, don't build in storm prone areas, or build stronger buildings. BUILD DAMS, we can build DAMS, ahhhhhh
6. loss of species : all big fauna is not really necessary for life to thrive, cry more.
Its the humans that have empathy and feelings, life is 99% bacteria and they're already adapted to this so called "changed climate", bacteria only live about a couple of days, nothing kills the bacteria biomass.
Its us humans that feel sad, put the animals in a zoo for people to see them, no one really cares. We have dogs and cats, why would you all want to have more pets. want to save all species.
We could domesticate them, then they would be preserved by the forces of markets ! yes I said that, cancel me.
Well, it seems some Malthusians want the Earth to be a zoo, not Coruscant, the One City, the center of our Space Empire.
What's the point of having nature if there are no humans to see them either way ? The fun thing is that 99.999% of the species that ever lived on this Earth are dead.
I like the humans because I think we're one of the few that crossed the Great Filter, to bad for the others that went extinct, life's hard you know, maybe they should have invested in brains instead of claws.
7. lack of food : only if the stupid globalist/neoliberals keep interfering in the commerce to CAUSE IT.
They're literally saying to us "Let them eat cake".
People from other times would know what to do. We could just kill them, it solves the problem, just a small bomb in davos (I'm kidding). Just ignore the Agenda 2030, and don't comply with anything there.
Also, We make our food with our own energy. We could artificially grow all the food we wanted in the parking lots of our cities, or in the empty office buildings. It only requires energy : which we take from Nuclear !
If people are hungry its because of politics, not lack of food, its impossible to have lack of food with the modern knowledge and technology, that only happens because some people want that to happen. It seems like a simple problem to solve, get rid of those person, how hard is that ? getting rid of the evil people.
If this Western empire falls its because it committed suicide.
Never in the history of history an empire though of itself as "bad" and started to flagell itself, what a ridiculous concept.
I think humans are fundamentally good, screw the Malthusians and the Misanthropes.
Sometimes I think they are a bunch of druids mad at human civilization. Fuck them ! if they want to die, they can kill themselves.
Vote for me for the Cesar Empire of America.
Enough with the republic and the decadence and hedonism !
If modern civilization falls, its because of a lack of moral / lack of vision, not because of stupidity like "climate change".
Heck we literally countered the plague !

And why are there bad acting and bad writing ? its not because we're misogynists, its because we care about merit, not stupid quotas.
Probably because most people aren't marxists and notice when people are there just to fill quotas and for "social points". DEI and that bullshit.
Instead of by the merit of actually knowing how to act or write or do whatever.
Regardless of the colour of their skins, because we aren't racists, most people aren't racists. (humans don't have race, this entire idea of race is ridiculous, those who try to separate people are the racists)
But they can't stop trying to divide people into races, or oppressed/victim, because that's their racket, its how they destroy the host to "take over", the host in this case is the society itself. They're against "patriarchy", but we don't live in a patriarchy, this is not medieval Europe and we aren't in freaking feudalism. So what is their patriarchy ? the entirety of secular organized western democracies themselves.
Man, I hate marxists, they are as bad as n@z1s, I would punch them if this wasn't the internet.

Yeah, right, like in 2019/2020 seeing clearly the result of gain of research function and a lab leak into the wild and a natural evolution back to humans on top of that.
So is it a lab leak ? yes, it is.
Is it also a natural mutation ? also true.
In fact both things happened, which made everything confusing, but after the fact and will all the data slowly coming out, its very clear, this even will be debated for the next century, it was a huge thing.
I'm never going to trust any world organization ever anymore, globalism is done with me. Don't trust the authorities, they're morons and incompetent, which is usual, but now they found an authoritarian button and we have to take it from them.

@purple-47 yes, that's exactly why everyone looks at Rome, I mean, the entire Western world is just a province of the Great American Empire.
Image the core of our civilization failing to marxist communism.
If that happens at the capital, the fight is over, they will also meddle with your country anyway, but now instead of Liberal Democracy (as in classical liberal) meddling with your politics and potentially fixing it by getting rid of commie candidates . Now you have a Socialist Managerial Bureaucratic one , aka, a Communist meddling with your crap, because that's what it is, just like China.
Great leap, am I right. (never believe in anyone that says " its for your good " or that they are " good people ", those are cunning foxes, they're the worst)
1
-
@alvarojneto " America is a train crash. You simply can't look away from that."
Ever wondered how it was when the Roman republic was falling, short before the Roman Empire ? that was what it must have looked like.
We need an emperor , any order is better than this chaos, because freedom we already lost, you cant have freedom if the bureaucratic state control everything, so whats the point. The more they stay in power, the worst its going to get, we're directed to the same place China is now with the exact same system : a bureaucratic managerial nanny state (aka, communism) .
Doing anything is literally better than the stasis of the unwillingness to address anything of the current status quo. Doing anything through the first of power is literally better even if there's no democratic input, at least something will get done.
Ever heard of that corollary than any bad decision is better than inaction ? that's what we need now.
And empires aren't that bad, for 90% of the human civilization time we lived under imperialism. Anything is better than communism, its that simple. Maybe not feudalism, but even that is better than maoism/marxism/hegel , that entire line of philosophy is just cancer.

27:52 zoomers are such pussies.
I'm a millennial and I saw the boomers be like: worked 5 years and bought a house. I was like whatever, worked 15 years and bough a house, I didn't complain, well I got major depression and got addicted to SSNRIs as a cope, but then I quit my terrible job, maaned up and opened my business.
Zoomers just have to shut up and work 30 years for it, there's no other way. Just like my grand-grand-parents had to do, they didn't complain, they worked, and I follow their steps, I shut-up and work, it could be better (probably never will), but it can get much much worse.
Things keep getting worse because zoomers keep entering the political arena and voting for socialism instead of being strong and voting for meritocratic conservatism.
You asked for it, now shut the head down and work, you don't deserve anything from the world, you have to work for it, and it is not fair that the boomers had it easy, so what, stop crying.
As they say "Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times". If the zoomers are complaining is because its not thaat hard of the times, it will get worse for the next generation, but that will be a strong one, because I'm preparing to birth that generation myself, and my peers, and most of the remaining good millennials, really, the zoomers were really a lost generation.
The older I get, the older I realize : boomers were right, and I become more conservative, I side with them and try to learn the much as I can before they die.

"As for AI safety, at this point I distrust anyone saying AGI should be limited to governments and megacorps. I would rather everyone have access to AGI than just the oligarchs that already rule us only having exclusive access to them"
That's what I also think.
Safety "FOR WHOM" the government ? must be, they're afraid of people having that power in their hands. Imagine if every single human had a meta-cortex in behind their desks able to increase their IQ to 130.
That's the end of governments, if everyone were 130 IQ, we would be able to self-organize without needing any governmental structure.
And good luck with banning that when a $4000 GPU will have enough AI power to outcompete 90% of humans, there's no controlling that.
They can only ban the training of massive models, but the Chinese is not bound to them and do what they want, they are now training and releasing open source models.
And they can ban big companies with centralized resources, but if we create a grass-roots, like the Seti program, with millions of distributed GPU training AI, we can have a free model that benefit humanity.
Free for all. No, AI isn't like "nukes", its not dangerous for humanity, it is dangerous for the overlords that control humanity.
Are they going to ban us from buying GPUs ? good luck with that, its like making illegal to own guns, does that stop people from obtaining them, no.
Do they think they can control general purpose computing ? of course not.
They might try to make everything like an iPhone, totally closed.
But then this create the incentives to jail-break the thing.
And this sort of technology will make the cost of semiconductors fall, so for $200K I just print my own lithography for my own GPU that's open hardware.
Genie is out the lamp.
Its already too late, they don't want to regulate for safety, no, they just want to protect the investments of companies like OpenAI from competitors. It was never about safety. Eventually the models are either going to leak or someone will figure out how to force them to train the next open model (lots of humans are still smart than the model, we can hack it and make it leak information). Having a closed model is a liability, you spend a lot of cash training it, only for it to become obsolete or get copied the next year.
OpenAI is so done, it is going to be out-competed by the sum of all open models.

@TheGoldenDragon_ "subversive" That's not being
Being subversive in this modern culture is going against the status quo of Woke, its going for traditional moral values.
Want to be subversive, make a family, and don't buy this trash for your kids.
In 20 years we can change direction in the society.
And absolutely fight for your kids and your rights to teach them your moral values, not the shit they "educate" on (government) schools nowadays. If that makes me a racist or a bigot, who cares. WORDS DONT HURT, what matters is my moral values, and protecting my family.
And I'm going to hell to save them. I don't care if I'm a bigot, or if I'm cancelled (I have financial freedom, just try it).
You even change state if necessary, this it is a moral war. I is actually a civil war, one that we are going to win without a single bullet, by having kids.
Want a subversive thing : go against depopulation. Having kids is subversive.
Want another subversive thing : ignore climate change doomerism, that's a religion.
Enough with the neoliberalism crap.

never trust the doctors, treat them like you treat your car's mechanic, never put them into a higher position. And you have to question everything, they don't just order you, they have to prove to you the why's and the hows and you absolutely have to consult external options and its in your hand to just deny the "vax" , there's no such a thing as "public healthy", that's a mythical creature.
You're the one deciding in the end, not them, they have no authority over you, screw the `faucis` (fauci means false).

@George-km9bz You have to find what field you like, "CS" is huge, there's networking, there's cyber security, there's still system administration (cloud is just other's people computer, they still have to be managed, albeit in a large scale). I suggest you use programming as a tool.
You don't need to focus on it. CS is supposed to be a base of general knowledge. Maybe you even like programming but just don't like web development, or the other way around, you can still be a programmer if you are bad a data-structures, you're just not going to get to the higher levels of ranking and do the cool things (well, at least for me, the other day I was optimizing H265 and created my own network protocol).
Just find what you think its cool to do.

1:24:30 but we had a solution. from Sumer, to Babylon to Grece, to Rome, to France, to UK, to the US, now US dies, what comes next ? Republics keep dying and leaving seeds to the next one, there's a clear trail, so there is a mechanism, whatever happened on Illuminism, for example.
Except we have a problem, we ran out of space to expand to the west. Maybe we should expand to Space !

I've been working since 2004, I started when the first bubble exploded and it was a desolate land.
The fact that its hard and the good times are over is actually a good thing, the grifters are gone. Only the professionals remains, those annoying kids that are only for the $ and for showing and the "lifestyle" are gone. Finally we can have peace. It was annoying, because all they could think was "web development" everything had to fit inside this stupid browser box, I hate web development, computing and software development is much more than that, than stupid web sites.
And its not even that bad either, it just deflated a bit, like a bad muffin, we're back to just 2018 levels.
I just don't care about feelings, I saved enough from going very hard in 2011 with webservices, that I don't even need to that much work anymore and can afford to be out of a job for 4 years, those youngsters spent all they earned living on expensive places and expensive adult-baby-sitting services that now bad times came, they don't have savings. Too bad.

@Gurd-f2z I give you a tip, now that the frenzy is a bit down, go for things far away from the marketing. Go for networking, systems, anything that's technical and far from user interface and web development or front-end "engineering", that's what actually produces value, its the backend that manages and massages the data, and data is what produces value.
Frontend is kinda useless. In the business I run, I do the frontend using standardized tools and use AI to create the design and the stupid HTML code, which is boring and repetitive either way, I don't care, that saves me countless hours and $$$ and I can focus on what produces value for my business, which is data, computers are made to process data, not to be pretty.
Ugly software is ugly but still works, no one really cares about "UX" or "user experience", remember that the user is just an employee of a corporation, who cares what they want.
Having millions of front-end developers was always set to be excessive , they were never needed to begin with.
Except now with AI, I can have something less ugly for almost free, its not better than an actual human designer specialist, but I wouldn't care either way, I care a bout the function, not the form.
It was marketing, that's what it was, when sales are down, they're the first ones to go, you're not going to get rid of the engineers working on the plumbing that keeps the lights on, that's so obvious.

@paranoyd70 "I personally believe that a man does owe a woman a better life (wihin reason) if she is the bearer of his children"
NO, the kid owes a better life, not the woman. They wanted equality, now they have, equality of responsibilities. The woman also have the same responsibility to the kid, they owe a better life to the kids. A man don't owe woman anything, why would they own the woman anything only because she carried the kid ?
What do they think they did it for ? for the kid itself obviously, and for the good of society at large.
Woman go pretending like if it was the job of a life making a kid, like come on, my grandmother made 12 kids, she never complained about any of that bullshit, she was super strong. What do you want for a biological function of your body (making a kid is what the woman's body is for), a medal ? its not that big of a deal, I could have a surrogate for $100K if I wanted, if I marry a woman she gets automatically half of a house, it is much more expensive what they earn from a divorce than the market price of a pregnancy. Like com on, what kind of f*ckery is this.
if I make a kid and I own things to the woman, then the kid is rightfully mine and only my name goes to the kid, and only I register the kid, and the woman is free to go to the streets.
Now, being serious, I want much more than that, I want commitment. She only deserves a better life if I get commitment for an entire life, otherwise she only deserves the streets.
No one really deserves anything, that's not a fair deal, you have to give to receive, that's where we went wrong.

Where the world is going, there won't be labor. Value of labor will go to 0, that's the end game. But keep believing its "exploitation of labor" when the system is flipping to EXTREME automation, those who own the machines, will own everything. We're going to feudalism. The time really is running out, if you don't escape now, for the future of all your descendants, they're going to be peasants. So everything is justifiable so your family become feudal lords, instead of serfs. Even "exploiting" labor.
If you are labor, thank your "exploiters" that they still need you, because that will stop being the truth very soon.
To quote, you're the carbon they want to reduce.

The simulation can't end, because its encoded in the reality of another simulation, thus its entangled there as saved information. the simulation can be paused by removing computational power, but you're never ever going to experience it, if there's a top reality, the simulation literally used resources from it, thus it changed the real state of the top reality, thus its saved there. whoever is running the top reality can't pull the plug.
Considering you don't live in a simulation, even if you delete all the files in your computer, the fact that you used energy to do that change of state implies you created a discontinuity in the information which is a discontinuity in the equations of reality itself. That means the information is stored forever there.
Every single particle is always entangle forever with everything else. That means if one could capture all the information at once of the entire universe, they could basically run it backward to the moment your computer deleted the file and retrieve it.
information can never be destroyed, that's enough to give me peace of mind, even if the face of death.

@TwinMcQuerns "Communism is pooling everyone's resources and trusting the people to only take the resources they need."
Polling everyone's resources in a centralized place, so it can be easily stolen by the party's members.
All in the name of "people taking what they need", or 'helping' the poor.
" Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow? "
'No!' says the man in Washington, 'It belongs to the poor.'
'No!' says the man in the Vatican, 'It belongs to God.'
'No!' says the man in Moscow, 'It belongs to everyone.'
I'm Ayan Rand, I refuse that.
It seems stupid dumber Karl Marx never ever heard of greed . What a dumb guy, oh, he wrote about the failures of capitalism, everyone knew that by 1900 after the financial crisis started showing. It was in everyone's faces. What a jerk. Anyone could write that crap about laizes-faire capitalism.
Communism is stupid, it goes against human nature and its not fair and its NEVER going to work.
It all starts because of envy. Why should others have things that I don't have. Lets "pool" their resources... That's stealing, on an industrial scale being done by the State.
"In every country this has been tried the result is massive corruption from the top down and ultimately starvation and collapse."
Precisely.
Why do we have to keep debating this ?
If anyone declares themselves as a communist or ever speak Marxism bullcrap, we should OSTRACIZE them like when a Nazi do it. Its on the same level (actually Communism killed more, but we stop counting when it passes 1M)
Can we all agree to punch nazis and commies ? equality as hard ?

That only works for mothers, when woman are after their motherly period they're as brutal as as cruel as a man can be.
Man compete with man of other tribes.
Woman compete with woman for on their own tribe, they're basically traitors.
The day I realized that was the day my mother and my neighbors wife basically tried to put my father and my neighbor (which is an older man than me, the age of my father) against each other.
And I as an young man was ready to escalate the fight, I could see my fight instincts kicking in, but I'm not that young anymore (I'm 35), so my fully rational mind kicked after that and I could see clearly as day what was happening.
My father wasn't buying the shit woman tried to create, nor was my neighbor who was being attacked verbally by my mother (for stupid reason like trash on the street, or some boring woman thing like that, who cares where the trash is on the street, its going to be picked up).
Later I even apologized to my neighbor.
Now I see this happening in large scale at entire societies, its why the West civilization is being conquered and corrupted by its enemies.
I finally understood why Christianity put man on the command of the house, not woman. Woman should not be in position of power where they can control a lot of man, they're totally machiavely and evil and they will act in self-defense for themselves (and their own infants, aka, their "protected group"), at the detriment of the entire tribe/family/country/whatever.
Woman are absolute monsters when they're given the power of modern military machinery, just wait and see what they're going to do.
They're traitors by nature.

it used to mean when the State and the weight of the law dropped on their heads, that's the problem. fscking feminism weakened the social contract of marriage. Without that, woman wont commit, they had to be forced by law.
Our ancestors knew that, but we stupidly removed the pillars that sustained society, now its crumbled.
To be honest, I'm not fighting for society either, I'm not dying for anything, maybe for my opus magnum which is a work thing (its a personal work of mine, not for any corporation, they also can go scr3w themselves). Dying to save this society, never, I'll `cowardly` desert, I have 0 loyalty to any government.

@vv7299 I have mild autism, let me tell you, no, you don't get to compete in the oppression Olympics, because that's based on performance of the stereotype of what a autistic person is, not what they really are. (my mild autism means I need to have my own office , I can't stand open offices with more than 2 people)
ALL of this ideological bullshit about minorities never help the real minorities they supposedly say they're helping.
Wokeness is bullshit, creating an hierarchy of oppression is ridiculous. The real division between oppressors and victims have more to do with wealth, not pointless things like race, gender, neuro-type or whatever.

its not hypocrisy, its double-speak, also in the playbook. You have to understand that they are not insane, it looks to us like insanity because we wouldn't think of destroying civilization itself, but that's their purpose. That's what they want, because they're evil, someone who is driving by seeking power becomes evil as power corrupts.
Ever notice how everything is about power ? everything is always oppressed/oppressor, that's because they are only driven by power, which is why we have to stop being tolerant with the leftists, they only understand power, so we have to use power to stand our ground, not attacking them, just defend and stand your ground.
