  3. You are not that good at recalling the backstories of historical greek people. Arachne declared to be the best weaver. Athena disguised herself as an old woman, and ask Arachne if she could consider herself better than the goddess Athena. Arachne said yes, Athena revealed herself, they had a weaving duel. Not only was Arachne better, but she wove a scene that was insulting to the gods. So Athena turned Arachne into a spider for insulting the gods.
