You do some research - you will realize that isnt true. China had been working really hard at diversifying/moving away from USA for a decade now.

Okay~ But I may have to rethink whether to do editing for trade war updates... or simplify the editing - because the viewership cannot justify the time invested.

Social credit score is not public. There are plenty of people who got entirely blocked from buy even train tickets. Do you know the MMA guy that beat up those chinese kungfu masters? Chen Xiao Dong? He got banned entirely from buy air and train tickets. One of his opponents deliberately set the fight in Xinjiang. He took car ALL THE WAY across entire China to get there for the fight. He is one of the most high profile and neutral to get his "social credit score" wiped out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ewS4WF33KV4 Let me know if you want to follow his youtube channel - he now earns money (partly) on Youtube (as he is entirely banned from china social media...) Social credit scores is basically also the same thing that gets people entirely disappeared from Chinese internet. At worst case, anything related to the person is deleted. The only place you can still find these people's news and information are on websites that outside of China.

China today also have a lot of wealth (concentrated in the state; rather in the people). The problem is, the govt tried to compete as a country vs other countries - rather than letting market forces do its thing, while they ensuring workers' rights are secured and there is no overheating/oversupply of anything that can smash the internal economics situation... But no.... =\

Singapore used to be considered authoritarian when it was under Lee Kuan Yew. Today, a lot less so, but still have tendencies. And yes, Malayan Communist Party is banned. I also dont think anyone can register a political party with "Communist" in it. And yes, any person noted as internal security threat can be arrested and detain indefinitely without trial. Most Singaporeans are okay with that.
