The Azov battalions are all on the eastern front and Mariupol from my understanding, because that's where they "enjoy themselves" and have free reign. Might be on purpose by the Ukrainian leadership to shut them up and throw them far far away from politics. They probably also think those guys are crazy ppl. Thus there should be few extremists left in the rest of the places. Izyum should be regular forces. As for central command, they probably don't have detailed control. They probably just tell the commanders the strategic importance and just a simple ordered like "hold at all cost"... Everything else is decided by the commanders on the ground. Probably why Mariupol seemed out of control. I suspect there are some weird elements at Kharkiv though.....

I didn't forget. But that's just a subjective thing on how to indicate captured regions. The same applied to the Ukrainian controlled regions. They actually do not have troops in most places as well. So as long as Russians have free reign to travel the region, the roads they uses will effectively be indicated as Russian controlled.

No news on Mariupol. =\

Thank you so much for the support. To be honest, the first 1k is crazy difficult enough. Haha... I am just lucky to have all you guys supporting me, allowing this channel to grow quickly this past 2 weeks I have another of my own channel, which did not even hit 500 subs after 100 videos. (Probably topic/subject problem). So I won't dream so far to 10k. Haha. 1k first. Provided YouTube don't censor me... The censor wars are coming again

Got it. But currently no "resources" to do this - nor I had "made any friends" with other youtube channels yet~ haha But I got you. Will definitely have that in mind~

It's hard... I doubt Russia would ever have full control over the entire of Ukraine borders anytime soon

The same problem plagues the Russian forces too actually. They do not have enough forces to actually properly overwhelm Ukrainian positions... In WW2, Nazi Germany fought with 5 armies through Ukraine - thats approx 1.7 million soldiers? Russia is only fighting with 10% of that. Its not gonna be enough to conquer Ukraine - which probably matches the Putin's claims that he do not intend to "occupy Ukraine". But still, East Army is fighting their best against some terrible circumstances I guess...

@armann04 they won't. There still almost 10k civilians in the city I think

Yeah... Seems like that's the case....

@impalerau state funded Russian media also isnt exactly good sources of information on the war... since its.... state funded. Anyway, I will do my best.. but i'm still limited to what I can see and what those Russians can publish (on telegram)... If Telegram is blocked in Singapore or in Russia or Russian internet is disconnected to the rest of the world, etc... then I wont be able to get reliable intel anymore. =x

Or 2 big battles. Because the missile strike on the airfield south of Kyiv indicates that Russia lost control of the south of Kyiv. You can check out my updated map here: defensepoliticsasia.com/Ukraine Kyiv is not encircled... Like never was... Maybe deliberately... So to allow the forces and civilians to evacuate... Trapping them may cause the people to fight to the end like in Mariupol, which is not ideal for the Russians

The entire southern side of Kyiv is still open. To be honest, I dunno how the war is supposed to end. =\ This is also why I was surprised at the start of the war that Russia decides to attack from 5 different fronts... instead of only from Donbass. So now, I honestly dunno how the war supposed to end if both sides choose to fight on.

@charleskobold115 Agreed. West Ukraine is full of cities... bad for "conquering". Thats a good point.

By right they mean different things. But for the Russian side, it's likely the same, as they are the offensive side. Entrenched can also be just a small detachment trying to hold a line. Which the Russians sure have to hold some important positions to prevent getting backstabbed, or attacked. It isn't clear where they might set up a tactical hq (forward op base). But we can guess based on the locations of those positions
