  2. Most of it are just part of "War" status. War ramps up more and more until it goes into Total War status. Many of the wars are limited, as countries wants to avoid going to devastating wars. But Ukraine chose to go into it - to the surprise of Putin. =\

  6. Occupations never works out. It will have to end eventually. Assimilation or absorption of the people into your country is the only way to get peace.

  7. Most engagement details are operational secret -its not revealed in the reports. So the fire missions/positional are just them firing at the enemy in place. No assault - they not moving infantry forward to capture ground. The aim is just to destroy the enemy only - force them to reinforce with more meat to get killed. Intensity of fighting is hard to ascertain unless there are hints in the reports to suggest the fighting is heavy. Alot of the time, the fighting could just be less than 20 men fighting each other - and that made it into the MoD reports.

  10. Limited War - because Russia is only using partial efforts in this war. Most of the troops are not in Ukraine. Russia still have time for military exercises, exchanges, etc... For Ukraine, the war effort is completely towards the war with Russia.

  18.  @Xeptr  India is a funny place... British only rule over in a way... you can kindda call it occupied - in a way how Israel "occupies" Gaza when Gaza actually runs itself. India mostly run itself during the colonial period (its too big for the British to run everything) But this is also why, British never absorb India and make all Indians "British". Because if they do, Indians have voting rights, British Empire will just become an Indian empire. haha

  19.  @Xeptr  Its actually colonized. The whites then wanted independence and run themselves - but then they try to control a majority african population - which as i mentioned, doesnt work. You cant really call the South Africa during apartheid "occupied" as the whites are born in South Africa by then. Its their birthplace as well. But it doesnt work unless they go independence in a small enclave (aka 2 state solution) So eventually it collapsed and africans/blacks take over South Africa. Its just common sense honestly.
