From my understanding, Nuclear power plants are priority targets to capture. And there is one major nuclear power plant north of Voznesensk, around 1-2 towns away. Which is probably why the Russians are taking such a huge risk moving so far forward. I still think its a mistake to not fight patiently.... Now, this Mykolaiv Front is looking ripe for a major counter offensive for the Ukrainians. Never thought that lousy road networks is a powerful defense infrastructure until this war... haha

Its all farm lands... but the Russians may not want to destroy the farmlands and hardwork of the farmers there (no joke) "Control" is a big word. Plenty of hobbits can hide in there ~ (you will get the joke if you watched Lord of the Rings before)

The ground battle is already super messy... most of the time, the battles are unreported and we only see some of the remnants of the result of the battles... A successful counter attack could cut off the route into Ukraine from Crimea though. Its a worthy consideration for the Ukraine side.

Exactly. Thats exactly happened over the past 10 days. Thus it is significant to know where they "rest" now - the 3 locations give us some inkling of where the Russian advances could come from.

Actually most Russian websites are down, even for me (i'm in Singapore). I get the Russian information from Twitter and Telegram channels mainly... Anonymous had been constantly attacking Russian sites until its not really very usable. There was a day or two, where the RT website was down as well, then they came back with a ridiculous anti-DDoS wall which basically declare my visit as abnormal... then i cant enter the website... ==" Its back to normal now though.
