BTW You wouldn’t have computers , smart phones and an internet to play with it on , and many other accoutrements of Modern Life that you take for granted , if not for people on drugs ... You can have a Constitutional Representative Republic , or A War On Drugs , You Can’t Have Both

@Whocares282 The Constitution suggests a principle of Life , Liberty , and The Pursuit of Happiness that doesn’t permit Drug prohibition or restrictions . The First Amendment in specificity instructs that No law shall establish a Religion ... Which is what anti drug fervor is : Religious Dogma and Witch Burning . Drug misuse and abuse is a wicked problem and will not easily be solved . It certainly won’t be solved by A Law Enforcement Holocaust that is squandering lives and killing people at a rate ten times greater than the causalities caused by the drugs in and of themselves .

I assert that it is the Illegality of drugs that promotes the epidemic - You can’t have a functioning society if the only tools in the tool box are arresting more and more people , especially Black people , for Drugs ... excessively killing them , and Torturing Old and chronically ill people in pain . But “ Cui Bono ?” Who benefits from this Nazi ideologically based war on drugs ? Wall Street and The 1% have done quite well ; Washington DC’s Domestic Enemies Of The Constitution who have succeeded in nothing but Losing To The Middle East Oil Potentiates and To China - If USGOVDOTHATE never got a damn thing right about anything , How can they be right about the War On Drugs ? The War On Drugs is just a Camouflage for Treason on a Grand Scale .

@Whocares282 There is a robust Historical argument against the war on drugs . Most of the technology in the modern world that you use day to day, and take for granted was created by people on drugs . One thing is for damn sure : Music would really suck if people never used drugs ... that is of course if the only music you listened to was country crap , you’d still be as happy as a pig in shit

@Whocares282 Obviously we would be cultivating and protecting the young from exposure . But we now have the technology to prevent diversion ( Drug ATM ) to prevent unauthorized usage . We must also be realistic : A long term user is probably a lost cause , the longer the usage the greater probability of maintenance rather than abstinence. Data suggests the Methadone works well with Opiate Addicts and they can live functional lives . I have yet to hear of any Chemical maintenance solutions for Cocaine of Meth . My belief is that if drugs had never been made illegal the improper use of substances of enhancement would evolved its way out of society by the process of natural selection ... Alas , we find ourselves in the exigencies circumstances of today . The Laws of The War On Drugs is being used by ‘ Bad Actors ‘ as leverage over good people .

The two Steve’s of Apple Computer have done quite well ; Elon Musk is rockin it ; Silicon Valley was built on substances of enhancement ; And Drug illegalization has de facto made The US Government the biggest facilitator of prostitution and child exploitation in recorded history .
