  1. Winning in a major urban center is not the same as winning across a country, look at politics in the UK, Canada and the US, the very large urban centers tend to be far left while the rest of the country just the opposite. Basically winning in Zagreb does not mean much.

  3. I am a centrist and not a big fan of Orban but how has he attacked democratic institutions? His coalition wins like 70% of the vote and they are very popular by all polling. Banning some international NGO's from actively interfering in your countries elections is hardly undemocratic, just the opposite. Please try to remove your political bias if you actually want to report the news rather than influence people. It appears among the far left the term "democracy" means we win all the time and no one else has a voice.

Obama put a arms embargo on Ukraine and arm twisted our allies to do the same so as not to "escalate" the situation, Trump was highly critical of that and upon assuming office immediately lifted it and sold weapons to Ukraine. He said also that if Russia invaded Ukraine or another one of its neighbors again he may have to bomb Moscow, quote "all those beautiful domes" in reference to bombing the Kremlin. Trump shortly after being elected again stated if Russia did not agree to a reasonable peace deal he would put even more severe sanctions on Russia and "dump weapons on Ukraine", the media just ignore all of this because it goes against their narrative. Trump during the campaign had to play a political game because the GOP has a loud minority that are rabid isolationists, including his own son Don Jr, Trump has never been a isolationist but he had to pretend to appease them. The second he appointed anti Russian hardliner General Kellogg as his Special envoy to Russia and Ukraine you knew Russia was in trouble.

Armenia and India signed major arms deals and are even starting discussions on a Indian military base there, while Pakistan along with Turkey and Israel are arming Azerbaijan. A proxy war between India and Pakistan may be developing. Interesting is this puts close friends India and Israel on opposite sides and Israel on the side of Turkey who they have not got along with since Erdogan took power. I suspect Israel's only interest in Azerbaijan is close access to their enemy Iran who Azerbaijan also fears.

  18. Turkey also just sent a bunch of self propelled artillery to Ukraine, not old junk either these are brand new South Korean mobile artillery, like what Poland just bought but built in Turkey under license, that also means South Korea had to sign off for Turkey to send them to Ukraine.

  19. A European army is not because of Putin, they have NATO for that, it is so French troops can be sent to Poland to squash Polish citizens rebelling or Italian troops to squash French citizens protests etc. Just like in any empire.
