If Trump was under Putin's thumb then why did he immediately sell arms to Ukraine after getting in office, after Obama basically embargoed arms sales to Ukraine after the 2014 invasion, Obama damn near gave Ukraine to Russia by refusing to sell them anything to defend themselves and arm twisting our allies to not help either. Trump when asked what he would do if Russia invaded again he basically said we will see, maybe I will bomb Moscow "all those beautiful domes". Russia has invaded its neighbors seven times in the last thirty years, under Clinton, Bush, Obama and Biden but NOT under Trump, they were scared of Trump just like China and North Korea were scared of him because no one knew WTF he might do.
