If the average teacher's salary is $60k (its $70k in my area) and average class is 20, if you are home schooling two kids then you get $6000 per year under a plan like Styx proposes, sounds great to me as does a new Homestead Act, my home county is dry but not desert, good ranch land and timber land and it has at least a hundred thousand acres of BLM land, most of it in a checkerboard fashion often surrounded by private land, it would be perfect for a new Homestead Act. Baby bonuses are a good idea as well.
